Peter Parker stood before Miles and the Ultimate Spider-Man of Earth-12041.
"Why are you staring at us?" Ultimate Spider-Man was evidently sensitive to Peter Parker's gaze. He immediately questioned Peter, wondering if he had some unfavorable plan in store for them.
"What did we do?"
"You volunteered yourselves. Miles, young me, I need you two to rally an army." As he spoke, Peter Parker had already taken out the cloaking device and the traversal bracelet.
"I'll give you both teleportation and cloaking devices. Visit as many worlds as possible and gather as many people as you can. Are you in?" Peter Parker asked, looking at the two Spider-Men in front of him—both still in high school.
"Are you sure? I was hoping we could team up again," Miles said, clearly displeased with the arrangement. He truly wanted to continue working alongside Peter Parker.
Just not the high school version standing next to him.
"What? But I am him—just the same age as you." Ultimate Spider-Man didn't dwell on unnecessary emotions; he simply placed a hand on Miles' shoulder.
"I know. And that's exactly what's so strange. I have a lot of respect for Peter Parker." Miles felt uncomfortable. He had always admired Peter Parker, no matter the universe.
But partnering with a Peter Parker who was the same age as him? That was a tough pill to swallow.
"Fine, I'll stand on a box so you can look up to me," Ultimate Spider-Man quipped playfully.
Once Peter Parker had arranged all the plans, he opened the portal before them. Their mission was about to begin.
"Everyone, watch out for each other. Stick to the plan and stay in contact." Before stepping through the portal, Peter Parker turned to the remaining Spider-People. "I'll be back soon. Until then, British Spider, you and the Bat are in charge."
No one had expected Peter Parker to put British Spider and that Bat in charge.
Ultimate Spider-Man didn't bother questioning Bruce—it wasn't worth it. After all, in his eyes, that Bat was quite similar to himself.
Instead, he turned to British Spider. "Or we could fight for leadership?"
"You're joking, right?" British Spider glanced at him.
"Of course. Why not?"
Meanwhile, on Earth-13989…
Karn drove his metal trident into the chest of the werewolf beneath him, completely extinguishing its life.
"Are you watching, Father? Can you see my final kill?" Karn pulled his trident from the werewolf's body—the greatest Spider-Wolf of the Werewolf Planet was no more.
Fresh, scalding blood dripped from the trident as Karn raised it high above his head, bellowing at the sky.
"Is this offering enough, Lord Solus? Can my hunt finally end?! Can I finally return home?!" Desperation filled his voice. More than anything, Karn longed to return to his homeland—to Earth-001.
But on Earth-001, his father, Solus, heard Karn's call. Yet, he gave no response.
Instead, he turned coldly to the figure before him. "Weaver, send my arrogant son to another world."
"This time, make it more of a challenge."
As Solus' words fell, the Master Weaver began weaving yet another portal for Karn to step through.
Karn had seen this scene play out more times than he could count over the past century. He already knew—his offering had once again failed to please Solus.
He would have to continue hunting. Continue hunting the Spiders, whose end was still nowhere in sight.
Solus then turned his gaze to his favorite son.
"If Karn wishes to return to our table, he must first journey far and wide." Solus shifted his focus to Morlun, who was leaning against the table. "And what about you, Morlun? While your brother wanders endlessly, your journey has come to an abrupt halt."
Morlun remained indifferent to his father's words. "That is of no consequence, Father."
"Is that so? There are whispers that you've grown fearful. Afraid of a Spider that has entered our web—the one that has killed you twice." Solus placed his hand upon the intricate web woven by the Master Weaver. Each node represented a Spider-Man.
He wondered—was his most beloved son truly shaken by such a small setback?
"The only thing I fear is the prophecy." Morlun had no fear of Peter Parker from Earth-616. That man might have killed him once or twice, but one day, Morlun would crush him beneath his heel.
The Master Weaver murmured under his breath, "The prophecy…"
Standing beside Solus, Morlun gazed at the vast, infinite web of Spiders before them.
Morlun, with his well-built physique, would typically be considered strong and imposing. Yet, standing beside his father, he appeared slender and insignificant in comparison.
Morlun fixed his gaze on a gradually dissolving web node before him. "Three key players have appeared on the board, Father."
Solus said nothing. He simply watched in silence as the Master Weaver continued to weave his intricate networks.
"They are three pieces capable of transcending reality itself and bringing an end to our dominion—The Other, The Bride, and The Scion," Morlun spoke again.
It was only then that Solus finally spoke.
"I know where they are."
"But two of them remain in their sanctuaries, beyond our reach." Morlun had considered going there himself and dragging the remaining two out of that universe.
However, any place deemed a 'safe zone' by the Spiders must have extraordinary defenses. At the very least, he knew that in such a place, he would be powerless.
"Remember, my son," Solus turned to Morlun, his gaze unwavering. "Nothing is beyond my reach."
"Summon your brothers. We have played with these totems long enough. It is time to crush their last hope."
Earth-13.
At that moment, Bruce stood in the shadow of a tree.
Though his body remained still, his mind had already retreated into his mental prison, observing the Spider Army.
"I bet dealing with so many chatterboxes must be driving you crazy, huh?" The LEGO Batman pranced out of his cell, trotting beside Bruce.
Bruce said nothing. LEGO Batman didn't mind—he continued chattering away at Bruce's side.
Finally, Bruce stopped in front of a prison cell.
"Wow, of all the people you could choose, you went with this lunatic?" LEGO Batman exaggeratedly gestured, as if Bruce had made a terrible decision.
Bruce stared at the prisoner inside, saying nothing. He simply locked eyes with him in silence.
Suddenly, a sharp cry from the outside world jolted Bruce back to reality.
"WAHHH!!!"
The infant in Mayday Parker's arms burst into tears.
Every Spider in the area immediately went on high alert, scanning their surroundings.
"Did you feel that?" Mayday Parker asked the Captain Universe Spider-Man beside her.
"The Spider-Sense. We all felt it, Mayday. Even your little brother." Captain Universe Spider-Man frowned, turning toward the source of the disturbance.
Peni Parker, Earth-14512: "My Spider-Sense has never been this loud before."
"This is a really bad sign," Punk Spider-Man muttered, eyes fixed on the distant, glowing golden portal of the Spider Royal Family.
"Interesting… so this is where they've gathered," a man stepped forward. Compared to the other Inheritors, he appeared noticeably thinner.
And behind him stood Solus' most beloved son—Morlun.
"No, brother. This is where they hide," Morlun sneered, clearly unimpressed by their adversaries.
"The Inheritors! I can't believe they actually dared to come here!" Captain Universe Spider-Man radiated cosmic energy, slowly rising into the sky to display his immense power.
"So that's Jennix… and Morlun," someone muttered.
"But there's another one… crossing through right now. I don't recognize him," Flash Thompson Spider-Man said anxiously, his gaze fixed on the flickering figure within the portal.
To Captain Universe Spider-Man, none of this mattered. "One or a thousand—it makes no difference. None can stand against me!"
Bruce instinctively frowned at his arrogance. He had seen too many people fall in battle because they were overconfident.
At that moment, a massive leg stepped out of the portal and landed on Earth-13's soil.
The very instant it touched the ground, the earth beneath it cracked apart.
When the hulking figure fully emerged from the portal and revealed his terrifying visage, every Spider present immediately understood—
They were now facing the strongest Inheritor they had ever encountered.
Solus had arrived on Earth-13.
As for Captain Universe Spider-Man's earlier declaration, Solus had only one response.
"You have never encountered anything like me. I am Solus. I herald the extinction of you all!"
With a sweeping gesture, he commanded, "Children—feast! Kill as many as you can!"
