"We're done with the monsters on this side, Your Highness." Stellani's voice cut through the air, silencing the bickering between Nyxa and Tama. "But... I don't know about her. She's dying, and fast."
Tama bolted toward the spot where her Shadowlings had intercepted the beasts that had been attacking Ravaine. "Good. Now go," Tama commanded. "Scour the kingdom. Kill every monster still lurking in the dark."
With a silent ripple, her Shadowlings vanished into the floorboards.
Nyxa followed close behind. The moment her eyes landed on the limp, broken body on the cold stone, guilt curdled in her stomach.
Ravaine, this honorable knight had sacrificed everything to save her and now, she was barely breathing.
"Ravaine!" Nyxa cried, seizing the knight's bloodied hands. "I'm going to get you help! I'll find the Royal Healers... I'll get you back on your feet, okay?"
