Chapter 179 - Elisophere vs Vexion

Vexion looked down at the sword pressing insistently against her, a blush creeping onto her face. She sighed and forced herself to look away.

This is getting harder and harder... Maybe... after Master finally makes me his, it'll calm down.

She turned her attention toward Eliosphere, who returned her gaze with mild curiosity.

Eliosphere wasn't particularly worried.

No sword. So she probably isn't a weapon user. Lexa would've been a much bigger problem... But this has to be some kind of exaggeration. If she's truly Mythical Being Dante's Number One... then I'll simply do everything I can.

Dante smiled as he admired the sway of Vexion's hips.

His enjoyment was interrupted by an exasperated Lexa.

"My Lord... could you please cover that up? Everyone is uncomfortable."

Dante looked at her before shaking his head.

"My dear Number Two... the only one capable of sheathing this sword isn't available. What exactly am I supposed to do?"

Lexa pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Something. Do something. Have some decency, please."

Dante let out a defeated sigh before crossing one leg over the other.

Only then did everyone finally feel a small sense of relief.

Jurian, sitting beside him, couldn't help asking Lexa,

"...Why is your Lord like this? I thought Mythical Beings were supposed to possess... dignity."

Lexa simply offered an apologetic smile.

"Somehow... Master was simply born this way."

Her eyes drifted downward toward Dante.

Instead of listening to the conversation, he was comparing Vexion and Eliosphere.

"...It's like comparing the sun and the moon."

Jurian, Lexa, Aishwani, and everyone else heard him.

Lexa couldn't help sighing.

"Master... can you please tell her how much strength to use instead of being a pervert?"

Dante wanted to defend himself.

I simply made an observation.

Instead, he ignored the accusation.

Vexion and Eliosphere had already walked several dozen meters apart.

Dante raised his voice.

"V. Fifty percent. No more. She's a faction member. I don't need a one-sided beatdown—I want to see her actual combat ability."

Vexion smiled warmly toward him.

"I know, Master."

Lexa folded her arms.

"Will she really listen? She won't exactly be in a hurry to finish and come back to you."

Dante smiled to himself.

Seems even Lexa doesn't fully understand V.

That girl may be obsessively attached to me... but she loves her role as my subordinate even more.

Nobody hates disappointing me more than Vexion.

Besides... she also enjoys beating people half to death.

Across the battlefield, Eliosphere took out two smooth marble-like seeds.

"I know I'm not at your level... but isn't fifty percent a little insulting?"

Vexion chuckled.

"Master is concerned for your safety, not disrespecting you."

For some reason...

That only made Eliosphere feel even more insulted.

Deciding to tease her, she smiled mischievously.

"Yesterday your Master wanted to see what was under my skirt."

She leaned forward slightly.

"I wonder what would've happened if I'd actually shown him."

A playful grin spread across her face.

"Perhaps... I'd have had to soothe the hunger you weren't around to satisfy."

Vexion tilted her head and smile remained.

But...

For the first time since arriving...

The warmth behind her eyes disappeared.

Not because the woman had spoken about Master.

Not because she joked.

But because...

She had spoken as though someone else could stand where Vexion stood.

There was no anger.

No jealousy.

Only one thought.

"How rude."

 She chuckled softly.

"That certainly sounds like Master."

She slowly ran both hands along her narrow waist before resting them confidently upon her wide hips.

"But..."

Her smile became almost pitying.

"You simply don't meet even the minimum requirements to catch Master's eye."

She shrugged.

"Master says things like that to every woman."

"It's simply his way of being a gentleman."

A vein appeared on Eliosphere's forehead.

How are both of them this detached from reality...?

How is asking to look under a woman's skirt considered gentlemanly?

Vexion's smile slowly disappeared.

Her eyes turned cold.

"However..."

"I'm not stupid enough to miss what you're trying to do."

"I'm still a lady."

"If you wanted me to take this seriously..."

She smiled.

"...then fifty percent is more than enough."

....

Lexa quietly rubbed her forehead.

"..."

Amber noticed and asked "What?"

Lexa sighed "...Nothing. Just that Fairy"

"...She's basically dead.".

As she said this she looked at Dante , and so did everyone

Unlike everyone else the subordinates, knew exactly what Vexion's expression meant.

She wasn't impulsive. She wasn't loud. She wasn't expressive. But they knew. She was genuinely irritated.

Lexa silently sighed.

Her own fault.

Why couldn't she have stopped after mentioning the skirt?

Why bring up satisfying Master's hunger?

Elric awkwardly coughed.

"Uh... Master..."

"...Is this really wise?"

Dante merely chuckled.

"Her problem."

Amber quietly looked at Dante.

'Master really is just as cruel as Lady Vexion. He knows exactly what's about to happen. That fairy brought this upon herself.'

Jurian...

Gorgon...

Aishwani...

All exchanged uncertain glances.

'...Is that woman really this frightening? She's only using half her strength...'

Dante lazily waved his hand.

"Alright, V. Be quick. But hold back... Start."

The instant the word left his mouth—

Vexion vanished.

Eliosphere's eyes widened.

Gone—

BOOM!!

Pain exploded across the right side of her face.

Her cheek cracked as she was launched through multiple boulders before violently skidding across the ground.

'So fast!'
