Melissa enters the room to find Sunny already awake.
"How are you feeling?" Melissa asked as she hugged her. "Scared" Sunny replied as she cried uncontrollably.
Ariana joins them. "I was so worried" Ariana said.
"I was terrified when I noticed him following me from the grocery store. At first I thought it was a coincidence but when I noticed him following me with a motorcycle. I had to call you guys" Sunny said.
"I'm happy you're safe" Melissa said. "Where's baby?" Sunny asked. "She's with Abuela" Ariana replied.
"Antonio just left" Melissa said. "What? He was here?" Ariana asked.
"Yeah. He said everything has been taken care of. He also said he asked the media to take down the video and cancel every news stations and news paper that would broadcast the event" Melissa said.
"That's what you call power" Ariana said. "The house is wrecked now" Sunny said.
"Well he got us a new house and has taken care of the bills" Melissa said. "Wait a new house? Dude that's incredible" Ariana said.
"Really? Isn't a new house a bit too much? Not just that but expensive as well?" Sunny asked.
"It's the Castello's were talking about here. Buying a house is like a walk in the park for them" Ariana said.
"Just relax. Tomorrow we'll take you home" Melissa said.
Sunny sighs in exhaustion. "He has gone too far.... Putting millions on my head" Sunny said. "Do you suggest we leave the country?" Ariana asked.
"We? There is no we in this. You're now a married woman, or have you suddenly forgotten?" Melissa asked. "I wouldn't hesitate to run away with you guys in a heartbeat" Ariana said.
"So the psychopath you call your husband would hunt us down. Not a chance" Melissa said.
"Speaking of husband. How was your honeymoon?" Sunny asked. "Okay, I guess"
"Okay? What do you mean by okay? Aren't honeymoons supposed to be for the newlyweds to use those times to have private fun. If you get what I mean" Melissa said as she wiggled her eyebrows.
"We didn't.... Roberto and I didn't have that kind of relationship" Ariana said. "What did you do the entire honeymoon then?" Sunny asked.
"Believe it or not but Roberto spent his entire day working. We didn't really see each other... Most times it's just in the mornings. If I ask him to join me for dinner, he bails the last minute. When the hotel hosted an event for married couples, I was the only one present without a partner."
"We even took a separate flight home..... To actually think that motherfucker loves me... He just likes the idea of having a wife but doesn't know how to behave like a husband" Ariana said.
"What do you want to do now?" Melissa asked. "I have to pretend to be the loving wife infront of everyone but a complete stranger at home" Ariana said.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all that" Sunny said. "That's why I wouldn't hesitate to run away with you" Ariana said.
Melissa holds Ariana's hands and squeezed it tight. "Everything is going to be okay" Melissa said.
"I know.... Enough about me. Let's talk about you" Ariana said. "Me?" Melissa asked. "Yeah... How are you holding up?" Ariana asked.
"I'm fine now that Sunny's alright" Melissa said. Ariana's phone rang. "It's Roberto... I'll have to see you guys tomorrow so we can go see the house together" Ariana said.
"It's fine... Go see your husband" Sunny said with a chuckle. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll get going now" Ariana turns to Melissa.
"Take good care of her. Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid while I'm gone" Ariana said. "You can count on me captain" Melissa said.
Ariana went back to the penthouse. "Where were you? I've been calling you non-stop but you ignored my calls" Roberto said.
"I'm sorry my phone was on silent" Ariana said. "Where have you been?" Roberto asked.
"I had to visit Sunny who's currently in the hospital" Ariana replied.
"Let's have dinner tonight" Roberto said. Ariana tilts her head in amusement.
"Unfortunately I'll have to decline. I just had a huge lunch... I'm not sure I'll be having dinner tonight" Ariana said. "Ohh... I booked a five star restaurant for you" Roberto said.
"There's nothing stopping you from eating on your own nor is anything stopping you from eating with someone else" Ariana said.
"Did I do something wrong?" Roberto asked. "You ask me" Ariana said as she went to her room.
Roberto stood there trying to understand what just happened. {Did I do something wrong that has upset her?}
The next morning Ariana woke up and found a bouquet of rose next to her bed. "What the hell is this?" She asked herself. She puts it in the trashcan.
She noticed the atmosphere of the house had changed in a good way. Ariana freshened up and went downstairs.
The smell of fresh pancakes filled the entire house. Ariana almost had a heart attack when she saw Roberto flipping pancakes like a greek god.
She noticed his biceps move effortlessly and his hair was a hot mess. It looked like he has been running his fingers through his hair. Not just that, he also wore a pink apron that was so tight on his body it should be considered a crime to the eyes.
"Ariana, my darling" Samantha said. "Mom? When did you get here?" Ariana asked. "Some minutes ago" She replied.
"How was your honeymoon? Was he able to get the job done?" Augustine asked.
{If you mean ignore me the entire trip then yes he most certainly got that part done}
"He got the job so well it left my legs shaking so bad. It felt like I needed a wheelchair just to walk" Ariana said.
"Are you sure you aren't saying this just to please me. I mean you don't have to be embarrassed if he didn't do a good job. I can punish him for not paying attention in class" Augustine said.
"There's a class for that?" Ariana asked in curiosity. Roberto clears his throat. "Why don't you have a seat and join us for breakfast" Roberto said.
"You can cook?" Ariana asked surprised. "Don't tell me this punk has never cooked for you" Samantha said.
Ariana laughs nervously. "Not really. I've never imagined him in a kitchen before" Ariana said honestly.
"What did I tell you before getting married? Didn't I tell you to always cook for your wife and cherish her? Why am I hearing bad things about you from your wife?" Samantha asked.
Roberto remained silent. "For this you'll stop by the house so we can have a little talk about responsibilities" Augustine said.
"Dad... He couldn't cook for me because the hotel served us food" Ariana said.
"Has he ever cooked for you while you guys were dating?" Samantha asked.
{By dating does she mean while I was working for him?}
"Not really" Ariana replied honestly. "Ohh this is going to be a looong lesson" Augustine said.
"Did you enjoy yourself?" Samantha asked. {Define enjoyment. Because at this point I seem to be clueless}
"Yes" Ariana replied. "You hesitated" Augustine said. "Why did you hesitate?" Samantha asked.
Ariana looks at Roberto. {If she means eating alone, attending the couples party alone or crying inside the bathroom. Then yes I had the time of my life. The worst part is Roberto thinks a bouquet of flowers would fix this}
"I just had to remember the passionate and memorable times we had together" Ariana said.
"Now that I think about it, Roberto doesn't deserve a girl like you" Samantha said.
"He sure doesn't" Ariana said. Roberto looks at her in surprise.
"Do you have plans today?" Samantha asked. "Uhh.. I have to visit my friend who's in the hospital" Ariana said.
"Roberto told us. What's her name? Sunny right? The one you went to china to find" Augustine said. "Yes" Ariana replied.
"I was wondering if we could have a little outting before you go" Samantha said.
"Where would you like to go mom?" Ariana asked. "Well since I wasn't able to give you a proper gift, I was suggesting we go pick something wonderful for you" Samantha said.
"What are you talking about? You gave me your family's heirloom. Not just that but you gave me your son" Ariana said.
"I think you need a compensation for my son. How about we go get you a new ride?" Samantha asked.
"A new car?" Ariana asked. "Perhaps a property might be best" Augustine said. "A property?" Ariana asked.
"Yes or maybe we can buy you shares from a gold company" Samantha said.
"Car? Properties? Shares? Those are too much. I'm happy to have your son"
"Don't be modest. You deserve better than our son" Samantha said. "I'd admit he's a bit of a disappointment" Augustine said.
"Dad... I'm right here you know" Roberto said. "What difference does that make?" He asked.
"It's fair we do all of them combined" Samantha said. "I don't know how to drive a car" Ariana said. "That's why you have a personal driver" Augustine said.
Ariana sighs. She knew she couldn't win this battle on her own.
"You girls do that. Roberto and I would have a little talk on responsibilities and love for his wife" Augustine said.
Ariana got dressed and followed Samantha to a car dealership company.
Ariana did suggest they go to Roberto's company but Samantha said she needed it from someone else. Ariana suspects she just wants to intimidate someone with her power.
Inside the office. "What car would you like to get Mrs Gonzalez?" The manager asked. "I'm here to get three cars for my daughter-in-law"
"Three?" Ariana asked. "Yes, three" Samantha said to Ariana.
She turns to the manager. "I'd like to see the varieties of cars you have" Samantha said.
"Follow me" She said. Ariana follows them obediently. "My dear don't be scared. Feel free to pick the cars you like" Samantha said.
"Alright" Ariana said. "We have the Rolls-Royce Drop Tail. It's about thirty two million dollars"
"Over here is the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. It's worth twenty seven million dollars" the manager said.
"Which do you like? Don't worry about the cost, just tell me which you prefer" Samantha said.
"I prefer the first one" Ariana said. Samantha looks at the manager. "We'll have the first one then. I'd like to see a different brand"
"This is the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It's a unique, one-off hypercar costing eighteen million"
"You know what? Why don't you just show us the car without the price" Samantha said.
"Alright, right this way ma'am. Over here is a BMW x6 2025"
"SUV? Did I tell you we are looking for a mini van? Give us something worth my money"
"Alright... If you don't like that one then you'll definitely like black BMW XM" She said.
"I like the yellow Bugatti La Voiture Noire" Ariana said. "Good choice love" Samantha said.
"Up next is the 2025 Rolls-Royce phantom and up head is the 2024 Rolls-Royce cullinan and the Rolls-Royce 2025 ghost"
"I want the Rolls-Royce phantom but I'd like it in color purple" Ariana said.
"Good choices dear. The cars would be delivered to your house by morning" Samantha said. "Thank you mom" Ariana said.
"It's my job to spoil you rotten. Now let's move on to the next agenda" Samantha said.
Samantha took Ariana to meet an old friend of hers. "It's been awhile Mrs Samantha" He said.
"Gregory.. I'm here to get the best properties you have" Samantha said. Gregory brought out a catalog.
"Here are the most luxurious properties that's available" He said. "How many are they all together?" Samantha asked.
"They're fifteen all together" He said. "We'll take all of them" Samantha said.
"Fifteen? Isn't that a lot?" Ariana asked. "I want her name on every document" Samantha said.
"You spare no expense when it comes to your daughter-in-law" Gregory said.
"It seems to me that she doesn't truly understand the kind of family she's married into" Samantha said with a laugh.
After everything, Samantha bought an entire company that makes gold with Ariana's name written as the owner.
"I hope you enjoyed yourself today?" Samantha asked. "I did... I really did..... Everything still feels surreal. Buying cars and properties... I never imagined it would ever happen to me" Ariana said.
"I told you... I will spoil you. You're part of our family now, which means you're our responsibility now. My husband is happy Roberto married you and not that bratty Jessica" Samantha said.
"I see" Ariana said. "Don't hesitate to tell me if Roberto gets out of line" Samantha sighs.
"I know he has flaws but I wish you could look pass that and see the good in him. And if he gets out of hand then don't hesitate to tell us. I'm sure his father would be more than willing to whoop his ass" Samantha said. Ariana laughs. "I'll keep that in mind"
