Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: The Flames of Rebellion

The battlefield was in ruins.

Massive craters covered the ground, smoke and ash rising into the air as fire and lightning clashed violently. The sky was darkened, the surrounding area a wasteland of destruction from the sheer force of Bolt and Kairos' battle.

Yet, despite the devastation, the fight was far from over.

Kairos stood in the center of a swirling inferno, his Celestial Fire burning hotter than ever. His smirk had faded—now replaced by a look of pure focus.

Bolt, on the other hand, stood tall amidst the rubble, his lightning crackling wildly around him. His clothes were tattered, his body aching, but his will was stronger than ever.

This was it.

No more holding back.

No more hesitation.

Bolt had to win.

Kairos slowly raised a hand, and immediately, the flames around him twisted violently.

"You're strong, Bolt," Kairos admitted, his voice steady. "Stronger than I expected. But let's be honest… you still can't beat me."

Bolt narrowed his eyes. "We'll see about that."

Kairos smirked. "I was hoping you'd say that."

And then—he attacked.

BOOM!

Kairos vanished in a blur of fire, closing the distance between them in an instant. He launched a powerful flaming uppercut, aiming to take Bolt off his feet.

But Bolt was ready.

CRACK!

Lightning surged through his body, amplifying his reaction speed. He dodged the attack at the last second and countered with a devastating lightning-charged punch.

BOOM!

The impact sent Kairos hurtling backward, smashing through a jagged rock formation.

Bolt didn't let up.

He moved.

In the blink of an eye, he was already behind Kairos, his lightning-coated fist ready to strike again—

But Kairos wasn't done yet.

A massive shockwave of fire burst from his body, forcing Bolt to retreat as the flames twisted into the shape of a burning spear.

Kairos grinned. "Nice try."

Then, with a flick of his wrist—

He threw it.

WHOOSH!

The fiery spear shot forward at impossible speed, cutting through the air like a meteor.

Bolt had no choice—he had to block.

BZZZT!

He crossed his arms, lightning surging around him as he braced for impact—

BOOM!

The explosion that followed shook the entire battlefield. The force sent Bolt skidding backward, his arms numb from the impact.

Smoke filled the air. Flames crackled.

Kairos chuckled, rolling his shoulders. "Not bad. You survived."

Bolt gritted his teeth, shaking off the pain. He wasn't done yet.

Kairos' smirk widened. "Then let's take this up a notch."

Suddenly, his flames darkened.

The once golden fire turned black and crimson, twisting unnaturally. The temperature spiked, the ground beneath them melting into molten lava.

Bolt's eyes widened.

This power… it wasn't normal.

Kairos vanished again.

But this time—he was even faster.

BANG!

A devastating kick slammed into Bolt's ribs, sending him crashing into the ground.

Before he could recover—

BOOM!

A massive pillar of black fire erupted beneath him, swallowing him whole.

For a moment, everything was fire.

The heat was unbearable. The pressure was overwhelming.

Bolt clenched his fists, lightning crackling wildly around him.

No. He wasn't going to lose.

He gritted his teeth—then let it all out.

"AAAHHHH!!"

BOOM!

A massive shockwave of lightning exploded from his body, tearing through the flames and sending Kairos flying back.

Bolt rose from the inferno, his eyes glowing with raw power.

His hair crackled with electricity, his entire body surrounded by arcs of golden lightning.

Kairos wiped the blood from his mouth, grinning. "Now we're talking."

Bolt exhaled, his power surging.

This was it.

The real battle had begun.

The fight between Bolt and Kairos reaches its peak!
