Chapter 225. I Will Always Love Elysia.jpg
The sun was already high.
In a quiet little room, Elysia blinked her eyes open in a daze.
The heavy quilt wrapped around her. The warmth inside made her instinctively curl up, rubbing her cheek against the solid chest in front of her with her eyes half-closed.
Breathing in that familiar, intoxicating scent, she held back the low hum in her throat, careful not to disturb her still-sleeping lover.
After squinting for a while, she finally woke a little and slowly poked her head out of the covers.
Winter had fully set in. The damp chill made her frown in discomfort. Her nose twitched; the cold air carried a faint, curious fragrance from some unknown flower.
That scent made her instinctively rub her full, soft thighs together twice. She glanced at the still-sleeping Xander and gave up on a certain bold idea. He was exhausted yesterday already—better to let him rest.
Taking a light breath, Elysia endured the cold and quickly lifted a corner of the quilt to sit up.
Her long hair, having been slept on all night, looked messy after being pulled up, casually draped over her fair, smooth skin.
Her tender skin meeting the chilly air immediately made Elysia unable to suppress a shiver.
Shivering all over, she hurriedly hugged her arms tightly, squishing the two large fruits on her chest completely out of shape. Although it was very cold, there was a rather important matter that needed to be taken care of now.
Though she was cold, there was still a rather important task to complete.
She pulled her smooth legs out from under the covers. The frigid air made her shiver twice more despite herself.
Muttering a tiny complaint about this room without heating, she hurriedly—without even putting on shoes—padded barefoot over the carpet to the table where her backpack sat. On the way, her soft hips swayed in a lovely arc.
She quickly unzipped the bag and fished out her lifelong nemesis from the very bottom…
A portable scale!
Placing it solemnly on the floor with both hands, Elysia shut her eyes and stepped on with the look of someone marching to her fate.
She'd eaten so much meat yesterday, but they'd "worked out" for so long last night. She shouldn't have gained weight… right?
Muttering quickly in her heart, she lowered her head, tightened her little face, and pried one eye open to peek.
She glanced down—then snapped her gaze back up.
Mm. The first digit was still a 5. As for the digits after that, there was no need to look. On the one hand, the scale obviously had a colossal error margin of 0.001 kilograms—the data was inaccurate. On the other hand, she firmly believed her weight had absolutely not changed from 54.8 kilograms (no rounding allowed)!
Yes, she had definitely not gotten chubby. She, the adored Miss Pink Elf, the world-bewitching Elysia—how could she possibly gain weight? What a joke! Even if there was a "change," it was nothing but natural bodily growth. She was still an eighteen-year-old (and however many months) pretty girl!
Her spiritual victory ended quickly. Elysia hurried to stow away her lifelong nemesis. No sooner had she pulled the zipper than the cold air made her shiver again. Her nose tingled, and she couldn't hold back a cute sneeze.
"Achoo~"
Rubbing her slightly reddened nose, she suddenly heard Xander's voice from behind her: "What are you doing first thing in the morning? Get back here."
Turning around, she saw that Xander had opened his eyes and was staring at her, speechless. Then he lifted the quilt, beckoning her in.
"Hehe~"
With an apologetic grin, Elysia took two steps in three and darted back to the bed like a nimble little fish.
After being out so long, the skin that had been warm and soft was now distinctly chilly. Xander's brows knit as he hugged her.
But he didn't loosen his hold. If anything, he pulled her closer still, as if to pour his warmth into her.
"Mm~"
The moment she burrowed back under the quilt, all the cold was shut out. The firm, warm embrace turned Elysia's whole body soft and melty. Curled up in her lover's arms, she was like a cuddly little kitten.
"You could at least put on something when you get out of bed."
After warming her for a while—until she was toasty all over—Xander finally spoke again, a bit helpless.
"That won't do!"
At that, Elysia grew a little solemn. "That's a matter of Miss Pink Elf's dignity!"
"'A matter of dignity'—isn't that just lying to yourself?"
He had clearly seen it just now—the number on the scale was almost at 60. Elysia really did love fooling herself.
"Xander? I feel like you're thinking something impolite."
Meeting those slightly suspicious pink eyes, Xander blinked calmly. "Nope. You're overthinking it, Elysia-sis."
He tightened his arms, feeling that soft plushness everywhere. This plush Elysia was his favorite to hold. When she got thinner, she wasn't as comfy.
Of course, saying she was plump wasn't the same as saying Elysia-sis was fat.
Except for a tiny bit of flesh on her belly, everywhere else was truly slim where it should be slim, and generously full where it should be full.
Burying his face in his favorite spot on her chest, the soft sensation almost enveloped his entire face.
The tip of his nose was filled with Elysia-sis's fragrance.
Even though his movements were a bit rough, Elysia-sis only let out a small gasp of surprise before gently holding him and softly stroking his head.
It was supposed to be him hugging Elysia to warm her up, yet somehow it now looked like a big sister cuddling her little brother.
To be honest, he'd started out a flat-chested loli fan, but now he'd been thoroughly corrupted by the sinful charms of busty big sisters and turned into a newly minted "I want it all" SP.
What guy wouldn't like this—after a long, exhausting day, having a pretty, clingy big sister who hugs you, praises you, and comforts you that you've done your best?
Especially when that big sister had a generous embrace that could drown you in tenderness. Xander simply couldn't refuse. He probably wouldn't be able to live without Elysia-sis for the rest of his life.
"Don't worry so much about your weight, Elysia-sis. Elysia is Elysia, and I like Elysia~"
Held like this, Xander felt as if he'd returned to childhood; even his tone had a hint of spoiled sweetness.
"How could I not care!"
Huffing, Elysia went on, "If I get chubby I won't be pretty anymore. That absolutely won't do!"
"Plush Elysia-sis is super cute too~"
He blurted it out. But as soon as the words left his mouth, Xander sensed something wrong. Before he could patch it up, he heard Elysia's indignant voice: "Xander, are you calling me fat?"
"No. Absolutely not. Elysia-sis is the most beautiful girl in my heart!"
—One of them.
He silently added the last two words in his mind.
"Mm-hmm~"
Elysia hummed, noncommittal, eyes crinkling with pleased delight. Then she chirped, "Hurry up and say it—'I will always love Elysia~'"
"I will always love Elysia~"
"Good boy, good boy~"
Feeling the fiery, very obvious pressure on her thigh, a sultry gleam rose in Elysia's eyes.
Early in the morning, with a young boy and girl holding each other without restraint, it was only natural that certain reactions would occur.
She lowered her head. Her warm breath brushed Xander's earlobe. Elysia's voice was light and low, laced with a faint, teasing laugh—gentle and bewitching. "As a reward for being obedient, does Xander need Elysia-sis to join you for some morning exercise?"
...
This was a plain little town with an unremarkable name—the first stop of their journey.
After landing at the airport of some small European country, Elysia had dragged him onto who-knows-how-many connecting buses. When he'd already lost his sense of direction, the two of them arrived here.
An ordinary, unknown little town.
After working up a sweat with their morning exercise, the pleasantly exhausted pair took a piping-hot shower.
There was no heating, but at least this small place had a water heater; otherwise, in this weather, they wouldn't even be able to bathe.
The town's residents were few, but its buildings and scenery had character.
By late morning, Xander was a bit languid from the early workout. Elysia-sis, on the other hand, was brimming with energy, looking around at everything with curiosity, chirping nonstop like a little nightingale.
"Xander, Xander, look—those round buildings are so fun~"
"Xander, Xander, a little pink flower actually grew out of that crack over there. Mm, it feels so wonderful~"
"Xander, Xander…"
She said a few lines; Xander answered one. Before long, Elysia was hugging his arm and whining coyly, "Xander, it's rare for us to travel. Perk up!"
At that, Xander slanted a look at her.
And whose fault was it that he had no energy?
Still, since Elysia-sis said so—and because he couldn't resist this adorable, wheedling act—he forced himself to perk up and went along with her mischief.
The town wasn't big, but it was enough for the two of them to wander at a leisurely pace for days.
They had the local specialty for lunch. Not exactly delicious—more for the novelty.
The warm sunlight spilled over them, making Xander a little drowsy.
They found a tiny park and spread a picnic cloth on the grass. Elysia pulled Xander down to rest on her lap, gently stroking his hair as she hummed a tender lullaby.
Ignoring the envious looks cast their way, Xander closed his eyes. Breathing in Elysia-sis's fragrance and the air untainted by industry, he slept soundly and sweetly.
In a few days, their footprints covered this simple little town. Their laughter echoed through every corner.
Of course, they weren't serene at every moment.
Take this evening, for example: Xander came out of a clothing shop with a taut face, while Elysia chased after him, laughing as she went.
"Oh dear, oh dear, my good Xander, don't be mad, okay? ~"
Dusk had fallen. There were fewer and fewer pedestrians on the streets. On the empty road, only the two of them remained.
Just now, while he was in the fitting room trying on clothes, Elysia-sis had secretly taken away both his original outfit and the set he was supposed to change into, leaving behind a super-short skirt. Yes, a super-short skirt—the kind that didn't even cover the thighs.
His face had gone black instantly. He'd poked his head out of the fitting room and locked eyes with the smiling Elysia.
Thank goodness the clerk wasn't nearby, or he'd have died of embarrassment.
Xander didn't respond, just kept walking on his own. He wasn't truly angry; he just wanted to give this increasingly mischievous Miss Pink Elf a tiny lesson. Besides, Elysia-sis's flustered act was interesting; he wanted to watch a little longer.
"If Xander keeps ignoring me, I'll cry, you know~"
The pitiful whimper made Xander pause—but he still didn't look back.
"If Xander stops and turns around now, Elysia-sis will give you a reward~"
Playing the victim failed; Elysia switched to bribes. Still no effect.
Gazing at his back, Elysia hesitated, then her tone suddenly turned stern as she called, "Xander!"
Xander, whose resolve was about to crumble anyway, halted at once and turned around at the serious note in her voice.
He only meant to give Elysia-sis a tiny lesson. If it truly made her sad, that wouldn't do.
"What is i—mm."
He didn't even finish the sentence before his eyes flew wide.
The sun had already dipped to the horizon; the orange-red afterglow set the sky ablaze. On the trees around them, the leaves wore a veil of gold and rustled in the breeze. In the small lake beyond, the town's reflection shimmered under a wash of golden light—just like his mood now.
Her pink pupils were right before him, a flawless crystal with his reflection within. A lovely floral scent wrapped around him. His thoughts sank into a tenderness called Elysia. It felt like the world held no one but the two of them.
All too soon, Elysia withdrew. Sunset gilded her figure as she faced him, hands clasped behind her back. She bent forward slightly, cheeks touched with a rosy hue, pink eyes meeting his dark ones.
Her lips let out a fairy-like whisper. "That reward… Xander, are you satisfied? ~"
"…Satisfied."
They'd already done everything there was to do, and yet he was still drunk on that tiny kiss.
"Hehe~"
Clinging to him affectionately, Elysia pressed herself tight against him. "Xander was so mean just now—you've learned how to bully Elysia-sis."
At that, Xander's face went slate-black. "Weren't you the one who started it, trying to make me wear a super-short skirt? If someone saw that, how embarrassing would it be?"
"No!"
"?"
"I deliberately sent the clerk away because I didn't want her to see you."
Then Elysia added, "Does Xander want others to see me in a super-short skirt?"
"That won't do!" he frowned without thinking.
Hearing that, Elysia beamed. "Exactly. That look of Xander's is mine—no one else gets to see!!"
"..."
Staring at Elysia-sis's earnest little face, Xander was a bit baffled by this peculiar possessiveness.
Just then, a small park ahead caught their attention.
Nothing special—just a Ferris wheel maybe a dozen meters tall.
No, at barely over ten meters, "Ferris wheel" felt like too grand a name. It looked more like a big toy for kids.
"I want to ride that!!"
Pointing at the mini Ferris wheel, Elysia-sis announced excitedly.
"Then let's go."
Xander shrugged and led her over without hesitation.
This was nothing. Earlier she'd even wanted to go to a children's playground to play in the sand; Xander hadn't been able to stop her.
The little Ferris wheel looked a bit old, but luckily, it still ran.
An elderly granny sat at the ticket booth below. Seeing the couple approach, she smiled warmly. "Want a ride?"
"Mm, two of us."
He handed over a bill, and the granny made change with a grin.
Pretty cheap—about the price of two bottles of soda.
Then they watched the granny stand up from her chair, amble into a little shed beside her…
Soon, the mini Ferris wheel lit up. The granny walked to the lowest car, pulled out a key, and opened the door for them.
"Don't worry. My Ferris wheel may look old, but a maintenance crew comes by every week. It's safe."
Xander believed her. Despite the worn exterior, the car's interior was neat and spotless—clearly cleaned often.
"Thank you, Granny~"
Elysia chimed sweetly and tugged Xander inside.
He latched the door from within. After the granny confirmed all was well, she pressed a button.
Whirr!
With the motor's hum, the little Ferris wheel began to turn.
They sat side by side, leaning on each other. Even lively Elysia fell quiet at a time like this, and the two watched the world beyond the window together.
Before long, their car rose above the park trees. The town had hardly any tall buildings, and the view stretched out in full.
"That's where we're staying! And over there—the path you carried me along yesterday~"
Pointing at the places that bore their footprints, Elysia exclaimed happily.
"That lawn is where you held me for a noon nap, right? That noon was really comfy."
"If you like it, Elysia-sis will give you another lap pillow tonight~"
As the little Ferris wheel lifted them bit by bit, they laughed and talked over the snippets of the last few days.
Only as they neared the top did their chatter slow. Xander sighed, "Traveling really is a fun thing~"
"Right, right~"
Hearing him, Elysia replied in a delighted tone of "you finally get it."
"But…"
As if remembering something, Xander's smile dimmed slightly. "Traveling is your dream, right, Elysia-sis?"
"Mm-hmm~"
Elysia didn't deny it.
"Then… keeping you by my side like this, so that we only get the chance to travel together now and then—will it…"
He didn't finish. But Elysia understood.
She promptly puffed up her cheeks, reached out, and pinched his face, tugging hard.
"Eh—Ely—sia—sis?"
Not letting him say anything more, Elysia tugged a few more times before finally letting go. She looked at him seriously and said, "From now on, don't say that kind of thing again."
Then Elysia laced her fingers tightly with his and leaned her whole weight against him. Her pink eyes gazed into his. Her voice was slow and steady, carrying an indescribable tenderness that could melt Xander where he sat.
"Xander, you have to know…"
She paused. Then Elysia bloomed with the brightest smile he had ever seen.
"Every day with you means more to me than my dreams~"
