Arc 2:- INDESCRIBABLE STEPS

Chapter->20

--> Quill-timer

Lanmyth felt a deep sense of repose that this could be his end before the begining. But, he stood firm and tried to maintain his calm posture.

"You ruined it!" The man clenched his fist moving them in anger as he spelled out his rage.

"You shall beg for you life!" With no trope of staying still Lanmyth jumped out of the cirlce and ran towards the jungle without looking back as the fairy flew behind him.

"Can't you teleport me again?" He asked her crying out loud while running from that creepy man.

He saw some ghostly hands flew towards him from the back, if Lanmyth had maintained his pace he could never get caught but he was more or less exhausted.

The fairy still seemed in her mood trials so she didn't put much of her attention to her environment as she crashed into a tree.

"..ah!" Her pained moan came out as she looked back only to find out that Lanmyth was being taken away by the ghostly arms wraped in blue ahd white aura. She flew towards Lanmyth with her agile body and passed through the hands only to crash on the tree opposite side of them.

Lanmyth had lost all of his hope and had a dead-pan look. The ghostly hands held him high in mid-air as Lanmyth looked at the man with his book and quill hovering near his hands.

That man pulld put a paper and chanted something.

"AZ!" The quill wrote something unstoppably on the paper as the paper burnt into whimsical ember then out of that black smoke glowing purple vines rushed out and enveloped Lanmyth's body.

Lanmyth tried to move his body but was too restrained to move. Slowly his life force was being sucked by the veins.

"Gwahaha! Your life force will be my sacrifice in my next ritual to... what is it?" Lanmyth was uncontrlably moving his fingers as if he us trying to say something. The man loosened his vines and let Lanmyth be a little lower and saw his face.

"I have something to say."

"What is it?" The man with braids asked as the breeze moved his braids gently.

"Look... back... there is someone certainly...!" Lanmyth said the most mysterious thing to be noted in the books of tickery to trick a man with he expected to have no sense of understanding.

"Oh... that's very bad. You should work on your skills in your next life." The man pitied Lanmyht as he raised his hand. Suddenly as fairy flew fast tearing a paper from his book and sutffing it in the man's mouth. The man struggled and moved his hands to take it out while Lanmyth was thrown on the ground.

"I told ya!" He spoke as he stood with his hands raised up forming a gun with two hands.

The fairy disappeared as the man looked at Lanmyth and demonically smiled.

"What are you gonna do? You have little to no magical energy!"

"You can tell?" Lanmyth was dumbfounded by the fact that mages can see someone's magical energy from bare eyes. This relevation had opened gates of new innovation in his mind, but his particular eyes were stuck on that book and quill. Lanmyth had enough reason to kill this man and steal those objects and as a Royal he hoped to not hesitate.

He suddenly remembered a meme and laughed inwardly.

He spoke...

"Call an Ambulance!" Ambulance? What a joke.

"Ambulance? What does that mean? And I can also sense that you're about to use water magic. What a pity I'm immune to elemental magic—."

As he could complete his sentence his heart was pierced by a beam of water that was different from ordinary.

"Call an ambulance... but not for me.

Aqua Regia Snipe!"

Lanmyth blew his fingers as the fairy clapped in the background. The book and quill were floating in mid-air fell. Lanmyth decided to not let any traces behind he was to clean this magic circle from the ground and dismiss his dead man's body somewhere.

The sun is about to set, I guess we should stay here for night...

Soon the body of the braided man was graved near a tree and far from that place Lanmyth and fairy set-up a small campfire with some fishes roasting on it.

"So, when are we going to the "mythical land"? And where are we for what?"

Lanmyth plucked the stick off and chugged on the tender black-pearl fish with extraordinary juices in it's meat which gave one's mind relaxed sleep.

It was kind of an alternative to alchohols and much better than them.

It wasn't cooked perfectly but this was just enough for them. The fairy broke a piece of the silver-scale sepa fish which were hunted for their sweet scales and the silver grains accumilated inside their mouth.

"We actually cannot just barge in that place. You'll be shredded in an instant there. We needed a place to train you, and since you have no magic power and is relying on my water support. You're just a freeloader."

Lanmyth cracked the egde of the stick and threw it in the fire with a heated expression.

"Currently we are near Glister archipelago. It's a rather weird but also advanced place. People here prefer beauty and etiquettes over powers and rawness. You could probably learm some manners here too."

"Blow it..."

Lanmyth said in an malicious tone. The fairy's eyes deepened and she saw Lanmyth smiling demonically.

"Wai—has the demon possessed your soul or something? We can't blow it up!!" The sudden malice of Lanmyth sent the fairy into confusion and a little bit of fear.

"Just a joke, chill!" Lanmyth chuckled as he took a fat bite of the fish and burped.

"Joke? What kind of joke is it?" The fairy angrily chugged on the fish scales one by one as Lanmyth opened the book he recieved from that man.

He opened the first page and saw.

"1st march, I Lybale dè french. Came in this unknown archipelago. There seemed to be nice people but their standard seems over the top. I still feel like this is a dream. I wish tomorrow when I wake up. My mum make some cookies for me."

Wait a second...

Lanmyth closed the book, his chin up, eyes closed, deep breath.

"What in the hell." He murmured inwardly as he opened the book again, read the same lines and repeated his action. Fairy hovered near him and asked what was wrong?

"It's just a diary." Lanmyth laughed lightly.

"Written in my damn language." When Lanmyth had transmigrated here, he and others learnt this world's language when they were small kids. And their understanding grew high. However, Lanmyth never encountered a single human to be using 'ENGLISH' as a Language ever.

However, as for the 13th month of Anomaly. Lanmyth still hadn't gathered enough information about it.

Could it be the 13th constellation? Orion? Orton?...

"Are there otherworlders common in this world?" Lanmyth asked to fairy. Since she was the part of STAINED RULER she must have atleast an idea.

"Hmm. They are rare but not none." Lanmyth held his head and then read further skipping some pages.

'28th november, I can't beleve they have such formidable potion and spells. However, they seemed to hide it from the commoners and only keep it in the boundaries of nobles. I have gotten the access of an informant from inside. I paid him from 'fake money' and gained the main knowledge about performing them.'

'3rd january,

I made some short names for basic element spells , it reads like Azerth. It seems so cool. Forest based is Az. Fire is Ze. Water is Er. Ground is Rt and Wind is Th!

I made it just for cool sound effects, I can just use them without saying it by just memorizing but I've noticed named spells are stronger. The bigger the incantation the dense the magic. I've also heard there is a secret cult going around. I should try to reach it.'

'7th january.'

'Maybe today is my last writing, I've written all of the spells in this books. They exceeds a large number even nobles won't know. But the guards have caught a sight of me while being handed the spells. They are hunting me and might kill me. I'm hiding this under a stone. If someone is reading this, I was so handsome and got killed for it.'

Meh!...

He died but with attitude what a guy. But this book and quill should be my good asset. I think that man had found it under the rock and is trying to decipher it. If he actually understood it, he might've already killed me.

Let's see what's there..

Lanmyth saw some peacock feathers at the last page.

What kind of book is this?

Lanmyth then stood up and went to sleep. The sun dipped, the moon rose.

Night was calm and perfect what any survivor would need. Around 4 am Lanmyth woke up and saw someone while he was sleeping on a tree branch accompanied by the fairy. He had a brilliant idea that none could think of. There was also a magic to change clothing in an instant.

The person going down was a women with yellow-bright eyes. Long hair tied in bun and the hair in front had natural curly coils. The hair were in the tone of white-ish yellow to faint green at the tips.

Her bangs were soft and curled on their tips. She had wore a laced dress with a chocolate-brown corset. Her beige dress with layers and folds was looking like a royal gown. A pendant resembling a clock was glowing dimmly and her lips were hot-pink with a blush on her cheeks.
