Chapter 317 - Chapter 314: Magnet Release- RasanMagnetar

The white ground stretched between them, littered with dust and scorch marks. Ryu's breathing was heavy, and he could feel sweat on his forehead, even though the battlefield felt like a dream and wasn't really real.

Standing across the crater, the leader looked at him with pale Byakugan eyes while his hands were empty. Ten blind fighters and the leader's right-hand man stayed behind him, spread out and still recovering. There was no movement as they watched.

[BattleBot] stood at Ryu's side, damaged from the previous explosion. Seals flickered along its scorched frame, and one of its arms hung at an awkward angle. Carbon nanobots crawled across the damaged sections like black insects, weaving torn synthetic muscle fibres back together. The self-repair was slow but functional enough.

Ryu straightened, fighting against the exhaustion weighing down his limbs.

"That wasn't enough. He barely moved to counter it, and his people are already recovering. I need to end this. He needed to make one decisive move that his opponents couldn't counter. Something they can't counter."

His grin widened, a sharp edge to it despite his fatigue.

"Here, I have the chance to conduct risky experiments that are impossible in reality. These ideal conditions, coupled with the presence of this android that I cannot summon in reality, create a unique opportunity. If anything goes wrong, the android takes the damage."

Ryu's hands moved through seal modification sequences. The golden Fuinjutsu scripts on [BattleBot]'s back began to shift, rearranging into a volatile configuration.

-[Chakra Fusion Seal] activated

Wind and Lightning chakra flooded the android's system—not in a stable ratio. Ryu pushed compression to absolute limits, forcing the nature transformation to collapse inward.

The android's movements became jerky. It raised its right hand, palm upward.

Light gathered.

Not illumination—pure luminosity. A brilliant, searing point that warped the air around it. The atmosphere reverberated with the strain of an abnormally dense magnetic field, exerting pressure in all directions. The very air was off; it sent shivers down everyone's spine.

The blind fighters stepped back. Even the leader's expression shifted—alert now.

Ryu's voice cut through the rising hum as he shouted, "[Magnet Release: Rasan-Magnetar]."

The magnetic force compressed beyond natural limits. The sphere became a point of such intense pressure that it treated all matter as fuel.

The android's fingertips turned to dust first. Then the hand. The wrist.

The reaction accelerated catastrophically.

The magnetic field spiked. In one violent motion, the entire android warped. Limbs stretched into ribbons of light and matter, spiralling inward. [BattleBot Mk-I] was consumed whole, vanishing into the bright sphere in an instant.

The pull spread outward.

The puppet fragments were pulled towards the center and atomized nearing the jutsu.

The particles didn't disperse.

They snapped into alignment with the magnetic field lines, organising into precise concentric rings orbiting the luminous centre. Each ring glowed with residual energy, creating a miniature stellar phenomenon—rings of shimmering dust revolving around blinding light, like the rings of Saturn in miniature.

One of the blind fighters froze in place, captivated by the danger. "What is that...?"

"Move back!" another shouted, already retreating. "It's pulling us toward it—get away from the center!"

The other fighters screamed as the drag caught them.

The leader thrust both hands forward. Green chakra ropes exploded outward, wrapping around his subordinates. He yanked them back, his boots glowing with dense chakra that formed hooks, anchoring him deep into the fabric of the dreamscape just as the sphere reached critical mass.

The Magnetar imploded.

Absolute silence for a split second. Everything within twenty metres compressed into a single point.

Then it exploded.

With a powerful light show, a shockwave of magnetic chakra exploded outward.

"Shit—" Ryu crossed his arms.

-[ReflexGuard] activated

Golden hexagons layered frantically. The first shattered. The second cracked. The third barely held.

Ryu was thrown, flying backward.

Across the field, the leader moved. He didn't just block; he constructed. Layers of translucent chakra stacked in front of him, forming the angled face of a pyramid. The shockwave hit the angled surface and deflected, the structure groaning but holding firm where Ryu's flat barriers had shattered.

When the dust cleared, the battlefield was empty.

There was no android; there was only a huge crater with emanating edges that glowed from the remnants of magnetic energy, lightning bolts in the sky, and lingering static.

Ryu stood up from the ground. He was grinning, but his eyes were analytical. His gaze tracked the residual chakra from his attack.

"Destructive potential is immense. But the instability is catastrophic. Without containment techniques, which I lack, real-world execution would be impossible. There will be a huge crater in the ground if I try it in the village, and the higher-ups will ask me too many questions.

-[Overclocking] deactivated

Ryu exhaled heavily as the sudden decrease in mental processing speed was disorienting, but the relief was immediate. His thoughts slowed to a normal pace.

"How do I end this dream? Force myself awake? Break the mindscape from within?"

Ryu's mind raced, but no solution presented itself.

"Then I keep fighting until they let me go. But first I need time... just a few minutes to recharge."

He clapped his hands again, forcing his will into the dreamscape. Black dust from the scorched crater swirled—slower this time.

[BattleBot Mk-II], the second android, was shorter.

Pain throbbed behind Ryu's eyes—sharper than before.

"Mental drain is limiting me now. Simulating complex constructs in someone else's domain takes a toll. But being smaller should make it faster and more adaptable."

The android's eyes sprang to life, emitting a dazzling white light. Circuits like veins bulged along the sides of its face, spreading outward in intricate patterns that mimicked the Byakugan's signature appearance.

-[Mind Palace -- Reverse Projection] activated

The android's vision flooded back into Ryu's mind just like before.

The leader approached, leaving his subordinates behind. He crossed the crater's edge, boots deliberate against scorched earth.

He studied the aftermath, analysing the intricate patterns of residual chakra left in the wake of the destructive force. His Byakugan read every detail.

His gaze shifted to the new android, then to Ryu.

"Magnet Release," the leader said quietly, his tone measured. "You compressed chakra past its breaking point. Forced it to consume this machine. if it were you , you would be dead even in this dream world."

There was no anger—just careful assessment. "You are dangerous, young one. Perhaps that is why you are an emissary of that thing I saw in your memory."

He paused, pale eyes locking onto Ryu.

"Tell me... who was that mysterious figure you are connected to?"

Ryu didn't answer. He just smiled. A tense silence lingered in the air.

The leader's expression didn't change as he settled into a fighting stance.

[BattleBot Mk-II] moved first, blurring forward. The leader sidestepped, palm thrust sending the android tumbling. It recovered instantly, attacking again—feint high, strike low. The leader's Byakugan tracked both, redirecting the kick and driving his palm into [BattleBot]'s chest.

Ryu charged in alongside the android, both engaging in the attack. [BattleBot] swept low at the leader's legs while Ryu came in high, attempting a coordinated pincer. The leader shifted his weight, letting the android's sweep pass beneath him while his hand snapped out. Ryu felt the impact before he registered the motion—thrown hard, crashing into the white ground and rolling several times.

"Damn. I'm exhausted. My reactions are too slow. Even coordinating with the Byakugan isn't enough."

Ryu pushed himself up, limbs trembling slightly.

[BattleBot] attacked again, giving him time to recover. The android's movements were efficient—punch combinations, low sweeps, attempting grapples.

The leader countered every move. His responses were minimal and precise. Each attack from [BattleBot] was redirected or absorbed. Each of his counters sent the android stumbling.

Ryu circled, looking for openings. He threw a [Carbon Card]—fast, aimed at the leader's back, right at the blindspot.

The leader's head didn't turn. His chakra-encased hand moved, slicking the card and diffusing the seal on it.

'Their Byakugan does not have a blind spot, or he has a contingency for it…,' Ryu thought.

The eleven blind fighters had gathered in a loose arc far from the crater, giving the two combatants space.

But watched but didn't intervene.

One of them—a blind fighter—spoke quietly. "He's still standing after all that. That's not normal for an earth dweller."

Another replied, voice tense. "The last ninja that figured out our base on the moon never even made it this far. His mind's tougher than any we've seen."

Ryu thought, "They're not intervening. The leader wants to handle this himself. Or he's testing me."

Ryu struggled to his feet. His breathing was ragged now, legs shaking.

The leader grabbed [BattleBot] by the throat. Green chakra ropes shot from his other hand, binding the android's limbs.

He struck the android's chest once, twice—concentrated bursts. Cracks spread along the android's frame.

Ryu tried to capitalise on the opening, rushing in low with a sweep kick.

The leader jumped, avoiding it without releasing [BattleBot]. He landed and immediately hurled the android toward Ryu.

Ryu tried to dodge, but his exhausted body was too slow. [BattleBot] slammed into him, and both tumbled over the pale surface in a tangle of limbs.

By the time Ryu extracted himself, the leader was already there.

Ryu threw a desperate punch.

The leader intercepted his wrist, twisted, and pressed his palm firmly against Ryu's solar plexus—precise, controlled.

All the air left Ryu's lungs. He collapsed to one knee, gasping.

[BattleBot] struggled to its feet, damaged but functional. It charged once more, loyalty overriding damage.

The leader formed a blade—chakra compressed and narrow. He slashed through [BattleBot]'s midsection.

Deep cut. Seals flickered.

The blade dissolved.

The enemy leader raised his right hand.

Chakra gathered—a perfect sphere. It was larger than regular rasengan. He then compressed it to a size smaller than a rasengan.

"That level of control," Ryu thought, watching the sphere. "That's what I need for the [Adamantine Sealing Chains]. Perfect formation and compression without effort or chakra rotation. It must need absolute chakra control. He makes it look natural."

The leader drove his hand into the wound, planting the sphere deep inside the android's torso.

He withdrew and stepped back.

[BattleBot Mk-II] ballooned, then burst apart. Fragments scattered, turning to dust.

The leader walked toward Ryu, who was still on one knee, catching his breath.

Behind them, the arc of moon dwellers remained silent, watching.

The leader stopped in front of Ryu.

He extended his hand.

"I think this should be enough… descendant of Ryuken Otsutsuki… and Ashura Otsutsuki."
