Chapter 241 - Chapter 238: Speculation

Onnen just stared, looking totally stunned, then he scoffed. "Are you kidding me? He's still in the academy! No matter how talented he is, he can't be better than a talented genin at that age, let alone capable of doing that to you! It's absurd!"

And by 'that', he meant Kaminari's broken ribs and missing teeth, all the visible proof of how badly he'd been beaten.

Kaminari, even though he was hurting, slowly looked up. He had this grim, haunted look in his eyes.

"He's not just a boy," Kaminari said, his voice raw, but with this chilling certainty. "That kid is no kid. He is a wild beast. A monster stuck in a little kid's body. I'm telling you, it was like looking at something completely unnatural, not human. You just don't expect that kind of power from someone so young, and it messes with your head when you see it up close, believe me."

The Raikage, who'd been listening super intensely, even though he looked calm on the outside, stepped forward. His huge body just, like, demanded attention. "What happened?" he growled, his voice a low, demanding rumble. "Tell me everything, Kaminari. Don't leave anything out."

Kaminari took a deep, shaky breath, making himself go through the embarrassing memory all over again. "We were about to confront the ANBU secretary and Kohinata," he started, his voice flat, like he was just reading off a report. "When the kid came back. He was alive, totally fine, with no injuries. I still don't know what happened to the team I sent after him – the chunin leader and three genin – but after fighting the kid myself, I'm sure they're dead. Either then, or after their Jisatsu Seal gave out. He could've totally run; he should've run, but nope. He came right back at us. Then, boom! Out of nowhere, he just, like, blocked everyone's attack with this weird barrier seal. And the kid was there in the middle of the battlefield protecting his allies."

"That kid's got guts," Onnen mumbled, giving a reluctant nod, almost admiringly.

Kaminari snorted, a bitter, humourless laugh. "He's got more than guts, Onnen. A whole lot more. He's something else entirely, something truly scary. It was chilling how calmly he handled everything, even facing down a whole squad of us. He didn't even scream when he took the full blunt force of a paper bomb when his shields were down, and he lived through that blast too!"

The Raikage narrowed his eyes, a mix of deep curiosity and alarm on his face. "He used a barrier seal? That must be the one I've been hearing whispers about in intel reports… If he can use it in real battles and deploy it so fast, then he must be a fuinjutsu Seal Novice."

A huge gasp went through the few guards and Mabui. Onnen's eyes went wide, a rare crack in his usual calm. "A fuinjutsu Novice? At that age? No way!"

Mabui quickly jotted notes down, her smart mind already struggling to understand such an unbelievable talent. It was practically unheard of for someone so young to possess such advanced fuinjutsu skills, let alone deploy them with such speed and precision in a real fight. Most novices take decades to reach the level to use fuinjutsu mid-battle without preparation.

"Unless he just got lucky for ten minutes straight, he's at least a seal master," Kaminari confirmed, his voice leaving no room for doubt, carrying all the weight of his painful experience.

Onnen frowned, his scepticism warring with Kaminari's certainty. "What do you mean, 'at least'?"

"Because he could be even better than that," Kaminari stated, and that silenced the room again. The idea—a kid under ten, capable of fuinjutsu beyond—was unheard of, and saying he is better than a seal master is absurd no matter how talented a kid may be. It went against everything they knew about ninja rankings and prodigies.

Mabui, always thinking and already putting theories together, chimed in, "He used a high-level seal, then. One that takes incredible precision and control not expected of someone below seal-master."

"Not only did he use high-level seals," Kaminari explained, recalling the bewildering, impossible display, "but how he used them was unique. First, he didn't use fuinjutsu paper. He used these weird cards, like playing cards, thin and flexible but hard as steel. He had a whole deck of them in his hand, just appearing. He used cards that could stick to a target and explode with unbelievable force, or... he used them to instantly heal his own allies. I literally saw him heal Kohinata and his allies from really bad wounds right in front of me, wounds that should've killed them. Also, when he was hit by a paper bomb, he healed himself also."

Mabui leaned forward, clearly intrigued, her eyes glued to Kaminari. "Did the Hamura Clan find a new material they can use instead of fuinjutsu paper?" She wondered out loud, already drawing mental pictures of the mysterious, versatile cards.

"I actually got to check out one that was neutralised," Kaminari explained, remembering that quick chance. "Apparently, a really strong lightning cut from any lightning jutsu cancels out the seal on the cards. They're strong and flexible, and he can throw them like shuriken with amazing control at mid-range. But the craziest part..." Kaminari's eyes tightened as the fear returned. "He can also control them to move wherever he wants after he throws them, using some strange jutsu. I'm guessing Wind Jutsu, but it makes no sense for that kind of accuracy. It was like they had their own brains, chasing their targets with relentless, uncanny precision. You'd dodge one, and it'd just curve right back around and hit you from another angle! It was like trying to outrun your own shadow!"

Onnen's head snapped up, totally confused. "Wind?! But our spies told us he's a master of Lightning and Earth styles!"

Kaminari scoffed again, producing a short, sharp sound. "To be honest, all of the information we gathered was pretty much useless. We have no idea what the Hamura clan's true powers are, nor do we know what this kid or his grandfather can do. We're completely in the dark."

The Raikage, Mabui, and Onnen exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between them. The discussion concluded with a heightened awareness of the threat posed by the entire clan.

"So, these cards," Mabui started, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Could it be that Dan Hamura, Ryu's grandfather, found a way to optimise fuinjutsu using them?"

"That's possible," Onnen admitted, rubbing his chin. "It'd certainly explain his rapid deployment. But that doesn't explain all his other talents, does it? First the fuinjutsu that is in itself unbelievable for kids this age, then the medical ninjutsu, the different elemental ninjutsu, and the taijutsu. It is too much for one kid, even if he is a once-in-a-century genius."

What the people in the room didn't know was that he was not just a once-in-a-century genius, but he was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of genius. He was the only reincarnated person in this entire timeline.

Kaminari continued, "Exactly, It's like he's learned decades of jutsu in less than a few years. It's almost... like he's inheriting knowledge or learning at an unnatural pace. Maybe his grandfather has found some forbidden ninjutsu or fuinjutsu that makes learning super fast? Or passes down knowledge directly?"

The Raikage grunted thoughtfully. "The Leaf Village is pretty famous for its forbidden secret jutsu. They're at the top when it comes to fuinjutsu, too. Think about the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. He made so many forbidden jutsu – the Resurrection Jutsu, the Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Flying Thunder God Jutsu… We've been trying to recreate some of those for the last fifty years and still haven't cracked them. Even a simple Shadow Clone is a closely guarded secret, only taught to their most exceptional core ninja to avoid leaks to our spies."

"Inheritance Jutsu..... It's a scary thought," Mabui mused, her eyes wide. "A forbidden jutsu that lets someone inherit knowledge or learn jutsu at an accelerated rate and inherit affinity like ancestral property?"

The Raikage let out a heavy sigh, running a hand over his spiky hair. "All of this is still just speculation," he stated, though a flicker of unease crossed his face. "But... there's a strong probability of it. We can't ignore it. We need to send more spies, dig deeper, and find out what exactly is going on in that Hamura compound."

Onnen shook his head, a bitter smile playing on his lips. "Spies are useless... The Hamura clan built their defences specifically to deal with our espionage. They've got layers of seals, and their ANBU are always circling the perimeter. Our guys can't even get past the outer wall without tripping something. And after this recent attack, you can bet their security will be tighter than ever. It'll be even more difficult now, practically impossible."

Raikage looked at Kaminari and signalled him to continue where he left off.
