Green stared at the small orb lying on the ground, uncertain of what Sebastian's intentions truly were. If his goal was to eliminate him, he could have let Gengar deal with it earlier. This contradiction made Green wary of Sebastian's true plans.
"The orb before you is an antidote. It can eliminate toxins, even those that have spread throughout the body. However, if it is not administered to the poisoned individual within a certain timeframe, its potency will fade completely. So, how will you choose? Will you continue to obstruct our plans, or gamble on a ploy to save your Raticate?"
Upon finishing, Ash turned his gaze toward Green, while Houndoom, Arcanine, and Gengar all watched intently. Even though they itched to attack, they wouldn't act without Ash's command.
Feeling the weight of their scrutiny, Green slowly crouched down and picked up the orb, wiping it clean.
"If... if this orb is a fake, then I will make you pay for it, even if it costs me my life..."
With that, Green recalled Charizard, Steelix, and Arcanine before summoning Pidgeot. Did he need to make a choice? Not at all! As long as he could save Raticate, even a one-in-a-million chance was worth it in his eyes.
"Pidgeot! Head to the Pokémon Center with Raticate, now!"
"Pidge!"
Understanding the urgency, Pidgeot let out a caw and quickly soared into the sky, disappearing from view, while Ash glanced over at Blue and said, "Now that the nuisance has been dealt with, should we continue our little chat? Honestly, I'm very curious to discuss the matter of human transmutation with you."
"Hey! You rogue! Don't you have anyone to keep you in check?!"
Seeing Ash approach with determination, Blue quickly retrieved her Poké Ball and aimed it at him, warning, "I'm telling you! My boyfriend is really strong! You'd better watch out or I'll have him teach you a lesson!"
"Oh? Is that so? If you know your boyfriend's strong, then why aren't you doing what you should to get me to rescue you?"
As Ash spoke, he yanked off his mask and pinched Blue's face. Upon seeing the masked man was indeed Ash, Blue paused for a moment before bursting into tears and leaping onto Ash like an octopus, clinging tightly.
"Ah!!!! Ash, you jerk! It's really you! You actually came to rescue me! You scared me to death! If I hadn't seen Gengar, I almost would've had Ditto attack you!"
"Could you please let go? There's no need to be so clingy, although with our relationship, I'm fine with it; it's just that I'm afraid I might not be able to help myself, and we might end up having kids."
Upon hearing Ash, Blue swatted him, exclaiming, "Seriously, don't joke around at a time like this!"
She then wiped her face with Ash's sleeve, clearly treating him like a close friend with no reservations.
Ash shook off her childish display of affection and said, "Let's go. I've got some tasks to finish for my godfather."
"Godfather?"
"Yes, the boss of Team Rocket, Giovanni. Let's move."
"Wait! Wait! We just crossed Team Rocket!"
Blue's mood soured at the thought of returning to the group that had previously alarmed her. Having some understanding of how dangerous this world could be, she was reluctant for Ash to put himself in unnecessary danger on her behalf.
In response to her protests, Ash playful picked her up and placed her over his shoulder, currently clad in the mask. "Off we go, consider it an abduction."
"Don't! Please don't do this to me right now!"
As Ash was carrying Blue away, a voice called out from the side.
"Bulbasaur, use Leaf Blade!"
"Bulba!"
Countless leaves shot toward Ash. Observing this, Houndoom immediately unleashed a blast of flames, incinerating the leaves completely.
"Woof!"
After scorching the leaves, Houndoom turned and unleashed a Flamethrower toward the source of the Leaf Blade. The scene was about to unfold into something surreal: emerging from the shadows was a young boy who resembled Ash in his earlier years, accompanied by a Bulbasaur. As Houndoom and Arcanine stared, both were bewildered, glancing between Ash and the newcomer.
"Woof? What's going on?"
"Woof? Is this... the owner? What do we do? Even if he's not the same person, I can't bite!"
Houndoom and Arcanine were engulfed in confusion.
