"It's terrifying... That smell is just too awful... I almost died..."
Thanks to Ash's brave rescue, Brock was finally saved. As he regained consciousness, he reflected on the horrifying experience he just endured, lamenting his narrow escape. However, Ash and the others kept their distance, considering the intense odor still emanating from him.
"Ash, it's time to wrap things up; those guys should have learned their lesson by now."
Looking at the crowd outside, Misty felt it was about time. Ash nodded and then dialed a number.
"Are the supplies ready?"
"Of course, Boss! We can start anytime!"
Hearing the voice on the other end, Ash glanced outside at the sunny weather and said, "Make it a large quantity; it's a sunny day outside, let's start!"
"Understood! Artificial rainball launch!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
With a series of explosions, the skies over Dark City thickened with clouds. With a rumble of thunder, rain began to pour down.
Ash looked at the rain outside and said, "Once the streets are cleaned up, we'll wait a bit longer."
At that moment, the citizens of Dark City were looking at Ash with admiration.
---Line Break---
When Kaze and Aize were finally released, they caught a cold...
But thinking back, it was no surprise; having been drenched by the rain, it was only natural. Ash looked at the two of them and said, "You two troublemakers who tarnished the reputation of trainers still think you can have a gym? What a joke!"
"Achoo! What do you understand? As long as we become an official gym, we can get investment from the Pokémon League! Achoo!"
Kaze explained to Ash, knowing he couldn't win the argument, and Aize chimed in, "Exactly! Not only that, but once we have an official gym, investments from the Continental Hotel will be open to us too! Achoo!"
"With the way you two only know how to brawl, the Pokémon League's prosecutors won't recognize you."
Seeing the two dreaming grandly, Ash poured cold water on their hopes. Kaze and Aize, however, were not ready to back down. "How is that possible? We will rely on our strength!" *2
"Strength that got wiped out by us? Sis, you come tell these idiots..."
Ash moved aside, and the person who had been completely wrapped up earlier stepped forward.
"Sis, why are you still dressed like that? Isn't it hot?"
"This is for observation!"
Looking at the figure who was still bundled up, Kaze and Aize asked, "Who do you think you are?" *2
"Me? I'm a certified investigator from the Pokémon League!" The person showcased a Poké Ball marked with the letter "P."
"Oh no!" *2
Seeing the marking on the Poké Ball, Kaze and Aize knew they were truly in trouble. Ash then turned to that person and asked, "Nurse Joy, is it time?"
"Honestly, Ash, can't you let me keep some sense of mystery?"
As Joy spoke, she reluctantly removed her mask and sunglasses, casting an angry glance at Kaze and Aize.
"For guys like you, who can only fight with Pokémon, the Pokémon League will absolutely not recognize you as an official gym!"
Upon hearing Joy's words, Kaze and Aize knelt in despair.
"Why is it like this...?"
"What have we been fighting for all this time...?"
Observing their dejection, Joy was clearly not done with them. She added, "Not only will the League not provide you with resources, but the Continental Hotel also won't! Because you've offended their boss!"
Pointing toward Ash, who was petting Psyduck, she continued, "The person over there is the big boss of the Continental Hotel. Now do you understand how many people you've offended?"
Kaze and Aize looked from Ash back to Joy, their mouths agape in shock. Ash raised an eyebrow at the two dumbfounded guys.
"Surprised? Didn't expect that, did you? With your performance, you expect investment? Only a face full of rotten fish and shrimp is what you'll get! I'd be out of my mind to invest in your gym! With your behavior, how could your gym possibly succeed?"
"Boss, we're sorry! We were wrong!"
"Please give us another chance!"
Seeing the two of them back down, Ash scratched Psyduck's head and thought for a moment.
"To be honest, with the state you've left this city in, I can't possibly invest. That's a guaranteed loss."
"Don't say that! We will change!"
"That's right! We've realized our mistakes!"
Looking at Kaze, Aize, and their gym members, Ash added, "Then you'd better start fixing everything you've broken before discussing investments. I have no interest in pouring money into a decaying city."
"Yes, Chef!" *2
Being addressed as "Chef" took Ash by surprise, but he subsequently said, "Thinking about it, they aren't wrong."
Then Kaze Gym and Aize Gym started repairing the city, and ironically, while these guys might not be effective fighters, they turned out to be quite skilled at woodworking. Watching them work together, Misty chuckled, "It's a shame they're not in construction..."
Ash looked at the harmonious efforts of Kaze Gym and Aize Gym and sighed. "I agree; it's a waste of their talents not doing some construction..."
Observing Electabuzz expertly maneuvering wires and Scyther skillfully shaping wood, Ash doubted that they hadn't done this before.
Suzy looked at the scene and smiled, "But this works out nicely, don't you think?"
At that moment, the Dark City Resident approached Ash and his friends and said, "Thank you so much! Without you, I don't know how much worse Dark City would have gotten."
Ash shook his head. "It's no problem. This way, people might change their views on Pokémon trainers, although it would be even better if a certain someone hadn't gone to be a goon."
As Ash spoke, he glanced at Brock, who was utterly embarrassed. Lyn patted Ash on the shoulder and said, "Okay, Ash, stop teasing Brock."
"Brock!"
Just as Brock felt a moment of gratitude, Lyn's next remark sent him directly into despair.
"He's already hopeless, so let him fend for himself."
"I'm sorry; I'm a hopeless case..."
Watching Brock kneel in defeat, Ash and Lyn exchanged glances.
"Well done!"
"Isn't that obvious!"
