With a roar, Charizard dove straight into the Pokémon of the Kaze and Aize Gym battle. The sounds of punches and clashes were heard as Charizard chose to engage in hand-to-hand combat rather than use Flamethrower, allowing him to adapt to its new evolved form and wings.
Ash nodded in satisfaction at Charizard's actions. It was the right choice for Charizard to acclimate to its new body and also an excellent way to give some practice.
"Good job, Charizard! Use these guys as punching bags to stretch and work out!"
"Roar! (No problem!)"
Seeing Charizard attack with its fists and claws, Meowth chuckled, "Looks like he enjoys using his claws too! That's good. While special attacks are great, sometimes the primitive approach is just as important."
"Exactly! Let's have Charizard sharpen its claws now. Meowth, make sure you teach him well as a senior."
"Meow, no problem!"
"Pika?! What about me?"
Watching Pikachu point to himself, Ash laughed and said, "Wait until an Electric-type comes before letting you teach."
"Pika! (Alright!)"
While they were chatting, Charizard had already begun to unleash its fury on its opponents. Using Dragon Claw and Fire Punch, Charizard moved with ease, finally able to utilize these two skills thoroughly. Infernape was similarly enjoying the battle, reveling in the chance to unleash some punches.
"Ura Ura Ura Ura!!!!"
As Infernape mercilessly pummeled an Onix, other Pokémon retreated out of fear. However, they quickly found their path blocked by a nearby Tyranitar.
"Roar!"
"Tyranitar, use Hyper Beam!"
"Roar!"
Responding to Suzy's command, Dark Tyranitar began drawing in energy, before unleashing a devastating beam that wreaked havoc down the street.
Charizard and Infernape quickly withdrew to avoid the destructive blast.
Once the brilliance of Hyper Beam faded, all of the Kaze and Aize Gym subordinates' Pokémon lay unconscious on the ground.
Seeing their Pokémon defeated, Kaze and Aize wanted to help, but they couldn't move because Bulbasaur and Squirtle were ready to deliver the final blows to them.
"Squirtle, use Head Smash! Bulbasaur, Solar Beam; finish them off!"
"Squirtle!" "Roots!"
As the power of wave-like energies surged from Squirtle and Bulbasaur, their momentum swelled. Sensing this, Kaze and Aize hurriedly warned their Pokémon.
"Electabuzz, use Thunderbolt on Squirtle!"
"Scyther, use Cut!"
"Roar!" "Huh!"
Both Electabuzz and Scyther charged towards their favorable opponents. However, when Electabuzz's Thunderbolt struck Squirtle, the water-like protective barrier surrounded Squirtle. Simultaneously, Squirtle used its head to deliver a strong blow against Electabuzz's stomach, causing a powerful impact that sent Electabuzz flying.
On the other side, Scyther was even worse off; before it could close the distance to Bulbasaur, it was hit by a powerful Solar Beam.
"Good job, Scyther! Go for Cross Scissor!"
Seeing Scyther withstand Bulbasaur's Solar Beam, Kaze cheered. However, Ash's next words plunged him into despair.
"Bulbasaur, rapid-fire Solar Beam! Don't let Scyther rise again!"
"Bulbasaur! (Understood!)"
The wave-like energy began to concentrate around Bulbasaur once again, and Scyther was about to experience a brutal onslaught.
"Bulbasaur! Bulbasaur! Bulbasaur!!!! (Fire! Fire! Fire!!!)"
Boom! Boom! Boom!!!!
As the fourth Solar Beam hit Scyther, it finally collapsed and couldn't get back up.
Then Ash leaped down from the rooftop and faced Kaze and Aize, saying, "So, how did that feel? Are you learning to fight?"
Watching Ash act so confidently, Kaze and Aize both grabbed nearby objects and charged at Ash.
"We're gonna teach you a lesson!" *2
Seeing their relentless anger, Ash revealed a dark smile, bringing out his knuckle dusters.
"Hahahaha, you certainly haven't learned your lesson, so I won't hold back!"
After a series of combat sounds, Ash, Chansey, Meowth, Pikachu, and Eevee stood over Kaze and Aize, who lay on the ground, beaten black and blue.
Removing his knuckle dusters, Ash Ketchum looked at Kaze and Aize, declaring, "This battle was a victory for our traveling team!"
