Kael's eyes widened slightly and he turned his gaze towards Lyria sharply causing her to almost falter and wonder if she did something wrong.
"Did you just say thanks?"
"No," Lyria replied calmly. "You misheard it."
Kael's lips twitched. He decided not to pursue it and went back to enjoying the taste of the tea.
Lyria watched him quietly, fiddling with her fingers as if trying to suppress something.
"Sir."
"Yes?"
"About your engagement with—"
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Her words were cut off by a loud knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Kael asked.
"It's Rami, Young Master. His Highness asks for you urgently in the field."
"Coming!" Kael shouted.
He turned back to Lyria.
"What were you saying?"
"Nothing."
"Uhh…" Kael looked at her for a moment, then shook his head and left.
After he dressed and walked away, Lyria stared at his fading figure and clicked her tongue.
'Lyria… you are an idiot.'
......
Kael reached the ground where he saw Ruth waiting for him.
