The thought of that betrayal from her wolf made Reana's blood boil. Her wolf and Ryder, they're both obnoxious.
Reana tore herself away from Ryder fully this time, stepping back with trembling fingers and stormy eyes. Her voice came out a low growl. "You and her both. I don't know which of you I want to strangle more."
Ryder's brows lifted slightly, sensing the shift. "Her?"
"My wolf," she snapped. "That little traitor wagged her tail at someone else earlier—and now she's whimpering for you like a heat-struck pup."
Ryder's face broke into a grin. A wide toothy grin. "The wolf knows where she belongs. She was only fascinated with the mate bond, but I assure you, she prefers me."
Reana sneered, "Unfortunately for you, Master Sharp Fangs, she wants him too. More than she wants you."
Ryder's face changed like a chameleon's in a flash.
She blinked slowly, savoring the way the color drained from his face. Finally, finally, she'd wiped that smirk off his face.
