By the time Aiden and the hunters arrived at the Last Bastion, all they saw was hell, a literal hell on earth.
The fort was destroyed, and there were almost no survivors, except for the three that they could see who were still struggling against the monsters. Maybe there are more, but first, they need to clear the huge number of monsters that are present in the vicinity to verify that.
Seeing such a horrific scene, some of the young hunters puked at the sight. These young hunters were experienced only in killing monsters, maybe one or two human deaths, but what they were seeing now was more than one or two.
Only the ones who had seen a lot of human deaths controlled themselves.
"Hunters, make sure you don't stray away from others. There are a lot of monsters, but only a few survivors are in our sight. There might be more, but first let's save them and then proceed from there", Aiden shouted at the group of hunters, and they followed him to save the last possible survivors.
