Chapter 25 - Chapter 24 - Tribute

"That is how I will be known from now on—Vorrak, the God of Ruinous Dominion," he said. "You should already understand my true nature, Odin and Frigga. I have come in peace and am grateful for your help in my ascension to godhood. Because of that, I will not interfere with Asgard under one condition." He paused. "I want the blood of all your citizens, including your own, except for Laussa, Thor, and you, Odin."

This was his true goal. He knew there was a high chance that Odin would agree. Now that Vorrak had ascended, Odin saw him as an equal. Furthermore, Vorrak had been personally acknowledged by Odin before the Royal Family and the people of Asgard, a sacred honor given to only a few.

Odin hesitated. As King of Asgard, he had to consider his people.

"My King, think carefully," Frigga said. "I know Vorrak is an honored guest, but his request could threaten everything you have built."

Loki remained silent. Thor, however, stepped forward.

"Father, this isn't right. It has only been three days. We can't just let him do whatever he wants," Thor said, looking at Vorrak, not with anger, but with concern for what this would mean for Odin.

Vorrak sighed. He had expected resistance.

"That is enough," Odin finally said. "I have made my decision."

The room fell silent.

"I will allow it. Vorrak is an esteemed guest of Asgard. By my name—Odin Borson, the God-King of Asgard—all citizens shall offer a drop of their blood in tribute." His decision was final.

Vorrak nodded. He was grateful once again. Meeting Laussa and coming to Asgard had been worth it. He was not someone who would repay kindness with cruelty. Instead, he would return the favor many times over.

News quickly spread throughout Asgard—Vorrak had defeated Odin, the King of Asgard. In recognition of his power, Odin acknowledged Vorrak as a being worthy of Asgard's halls. As an offering, Vorrak demanded that every citizen, both children and adults, give a drop of their blood.

Most protested, while a smaller group remained silent. But with Odin's decree, no one could resist. They could only whisper their dissatisfaction.

Even Heimdall was not exempt. He, too, pricked his finger and offered his blood.

A grand feast lasted for 30 days in celebration of Vorrak's ascension to godhood. During this time, he formally introduced himself to Asgard and learned the names of its people through a fragment of himself that he had separated earlier. This part of him bonded with the citizens, collecting their blood, while Vorrak—the main body—chose not to harm them. Because of this, he abandoned his original plan to conquer Asgard.

Asgard had a population of approximately 12,000. Now, all their blood was stored in his inventory. Even if he stayed in Asgard without taking further action, he could continue to grow stronger, converting the collected blood into talent entry cards for 12,000 days—or 32 years and 10 months.

By the time the events of the MCU began, he would be powerful enough to rule the universe. However, he understood that not all Asgardians were as strong as Thor or Odin. Their strength far surpassed that of humans, but there were limits.

For this reason, not all the blood he collected would be used for power. Some would be reserved for research. He wanted to compare Asgardian and human DNA, hoping to create a serum that could potentially transform a person into an Asgardian.

Only those who met his strict criteria—both physically and mentally—would have their blood converted into talent entry cards. Over the past few days, Vorrak personally assessed each citizen's strength and intelligence. Thanks to his ability to split himself into multiple copies, which he discovered upon ascending to godhood, he could test each person individually.

No one was exempt—not even the children. However, he made sure to accommodate their needs. If a child wanted candy or to play, he indulged them. Vorrak could be ruthless, but he had a heart. He believed that children were innocent and deserved protection. He understood the cruelty of the world and how only the fortunate experienced love and care.

That said, he was aware that some children could be just as cruel as adults. He had yet to encounter one, but he knew they existed.

Over the course of 30 days, he had tested half of Asgard's population. The process took time, even with his ability to split himself into hundreds—his current limit. He tested people in batches: children, the elderly, women, and men.

Each of his clones was a fraction of his strength, but they were still powerful. Unlike fragile illusions, these duplicates were durable, capable of casting spells, and physically strong. Even if one was destroyed, as long as one survived, Vorrak himself could not die. This granted him a form of immortality.

It was similar to Hashirama's wood clones, but far more durable and powerful.

Even with his strength divided, each clone still possessed immense power. His total strength measured in the hundreds of millions of tons, meaning each fragment of himself retained the power of at least a million tons. Even at his weakest, he was still far beyond any human or animal.

No one could stop his rise.

Additionally, he discovered that he could manually sort the collected blood into different categories. It was clear he had yet to uncover the full potential of his system.

With the DNA he had gathered, he gained 30 new entries—including those of Odin, Frigga, Loki, and Heimdall.

Loki – Trickster God (Gold)

Special Ability – Mirage Sovereign: Can create perfect duplicates, seamlessly switching places with them to deceive and evade foes. ]

Odin had given him a significant boost since his arrival in Asgard, making him stronger than ever. Most of his power increases came directly from Odin himself. Now, he possessed two super red-grade and four gold-grade entries.

Each of these entries had unique abilities that reflected their origins. The remaining entries were at the green level, still providing valuable enhancements to his strength, endurance, intelligence, agility, and more.

(I'll put it at the end of this chapter)

Seeing his increasing strength, Vorrak finally felt at ease. Even if a Celestial appeared, he could now contend with them. However, their abilities remained a problem—instant teleportation, universal communication, near-omniscience, and an overwhelming presence shaped by billions of years of knowledge. They held absolute authority over the cosmos, something Vorrak had yet to match.

If he estimated their strength in terms of raw power, they could easily reach quintillions to sextillions of tons. Vorrak had yet to reach that level, but with his godly and mystic enhancements, along with the special abilities from his gold and higher-tier entries, he could at least survive a fight against a Celestial.

"I have become stronger," he muttered. "But I can't be complacent. Strength alone won't be enough. I must stay cautious—Celestials could come for me at any moment. If I remember correctly, Arishem the Judge exists."

Arishem the Judge was the Prime Celestial, responsible for maintaining cosmic balance. He determined which civilizations were worthy of survival and led the Celestial Hosts, deciding the fate of entire planets. He had created both Deviants and Eternals to regulate the emergence of new Celestials, a process essential for the expansion of the universe.

As a cosmic arbiter, Arishem's judgments were absolute. His presence alone signified the fate of civilizations, enforcing the grand cycle of creation and destruction.

Vorrak knew that if he attracted Arishem's attention, he might survive—but those around him wouldn't. His allies, the ones who had helped him, would be caught in the crossfire. With his enhanced intelligence, he understood how dangerous the Celestials were when their interests were threatened.

If Arishem deemed him unworthy, he could be banished from the universe. If Arishem couldn't kill him, he would simply erase him from existence.

For now, Vorrak needed to use the Bifrost to return to Earth. Perhaps the answers lay there. The Eternals and Deviants might help him, but after careful thought, he realized they weren't strong enough to defeat a Celestial.

They had useful abilities, but not enough to match the sheer power of a Celestial.

That was why Vorrak would do whatever it took to gather more entries from powerful individuals. If strength wasn't enough, he would seek magic. If magic failed, he would turn to technology. If even that wasn't enough, he would combine everything he had learned.

He would do whatever it took.

It might take time, but as long as he persisted, he would eventually reach their level. One day, he would become someone who could destroy entire universes with a snap of his fingers.
