Chapter 539 - Chapter 539: On Your Left

Doctor Strange, dressed in a blue close-fitting suit with a red cloak draped over his shoulders, stood quietly inside the New York Sanctum.

He had just been resurrected and returned here immediately.

As the Sorcerer Supreme, he naturally knew what had happened. Strictly speaking, all of it had been his decision.

But Strange was very clear about one thing.

This wasn't over yet.

What he needed to do now was gather every sorcerer and prepare for the final battle.

"Mr. Strange, how long do we still have to wait?"

Peter Parker asked anxiously from the side.

Spider-Man Peter Parker and Strange had both been turned to dust by Thanos's snap on Titan. With Banner's snap, they were brought back.

Not only them.

Peter Quill, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, and Mantis-who had also vanished-were all resurrected as well.

Strange brought them back to Earth.

They were filled with hatred toward Thanos.

But they had no spaceship.

Tony and Nebula had already flown theirs away.

So all they could do was wait for Strange's orders.

"Soon."

Strange remained calm.

"Don't worry."

He had already seen the future.

He knew what would happen.

It didn't take long.

Golden circular portals began appearing around them.

As the rings expanded, figures dressed in monastic robes stepped through.

At the front was a slightly plump Asian man.

"Good heavens, Stephen!"

"You're finally back!"

"Don't get so excited, Wong."

Strange looked at his old friend and gave a small smile.

To him, their separation had lasted less than a day.

But he knew very well that, in reality, five years had passed.

"Listen carefully."

After calming Wong, Strange turned to the Kamar-Taj sorcerers gathering around.

"I have tasks for you."

"You are to immediately go to Wakanda and Asgard."

"Gather all resurrected warriors."

During the Infinity War, almost all super combatants had been concentrated in Wakanda.

That made things convenient.

As for Asgard-

Though devastated, Asgardians still underwent necessary training.

Even now, they would be valuable.

At a moment like this, Strange knew they would not refuse.

As Sorcerer Supreme, his authority remained unquestioned.

The moment he finished speaking, sorcerers opened portals and departed.

Strange stayed behind.

Waiting.

"Stephen."

Wong walked closer and lowered his voice.

"I never thought you'd come up with something like this."

"There was only one chance."

Strange sighed.

"And it wasn't even guaranteed."

"But at least things have gone smoothly so far."

"I wonder how things are over there."

"Thanos has already arrived."

Wong answered.

"I don't know the specifics. I received your message when the snap happened."

"Then we need to move faster."

"Why?"

"Aren't you confident?"

"You should trust them. After all, they're also-"

"But they're facing Thanos."

Strange raised a hand, stopping him.

Information from other locations had already reached him.

The main force had gathered.

Seeing that, Wong said nothing more.

He had wanted to say that they also had the Sorcerer Supreme and Thor.

But looking at Strange, Wong felt something familiar.

Like Noah.

As if this man had also seen the future.

In truth, Strange had no idea what Wong was thinking.

He hadn't seen an outcome like that.

"Let's go."

With preparations complete, Strange had Sam Wilson confirm Captain America's location.

Then every Kamar-Taj sorcerer opened their portals at once.

This was it.

The final battle.

Golden portals bloomed across the battlefield.

Strange and the others arrived at the Avengers Compound.

And then-

Their cheers died instantly.

Before them was a raging inferno.

A massive fire dragon tore through the alien army.

A silver figure wielding boundless lightning harvested lives.

Terrifying ice crept across the land.

They froze.

Stunned.

For a moment, some even wondered if they had arrived at the wrong place.

Strange felt dizzy.

He immediately turned to Wong.

"What's going on?"

"What's going on?"

"Obviously, it's those three!"

"What's their situation?"

"Huh?"

"Didn't you bring them?"

Strange was completely confused.

So was Wong.

They stared at each other in silence.

But others didn't hesitate.

Peter Parker immediately rushed toward Tony Stark, who was still unconscious.

As for Noah-

He was fully aware of everything happening behind him.

He just didn't care.

Facing Thanos's army, Noah had let loose completely.

An elemental sorcerer never feared numbers.

Fireballs poured down like a storm.

Upon impact, they became an endless sea of flame.

That sea twisted and surged under Noah's magic, forming a terrifying giant dragon that devoured alien warriors in droves.

Thor and Loki were just as fearless.

Lightning and ice exploded across the battlefield.

Silver and pale blue intertwined.

Without Infinity Stones, the alien army couldn't withstand them.

From afar, Thanos watched.

His expression darkened.

He could clearly tell-

These beings from another universe didn't rely on raw power like him.

Their techniques were different.

Especially Loki.

And that sorcerer.

Thor hadn't changed much.

Thanos had just fought this universe's Thor.

Their styles were similar.

But this Thor seemed more cautious.

More refined.

Still, that wasn't the issue.

Thanos was confident he could handle Thor.

Loki, however-

That shocked him.

In his memory, Loki was weak.

Since when could he wield Frost Giant power?

Thanos knew Loki's origins.

But the Loki before him was fully Asgardian.

That made no sense.

And then there was the sorcerer.

Thanos frowned.

Inside that man's body, he sensed something deeper.

Something darker.

Something terrifying.

He couldn't identify it.

But his instincts screamed danger.

After a moment's thought, Thanos found it interesting.

The Avengers' arrival was troublesome.

But he was confident.

If his counterpart in this universe could handle them-

So could he.

Weapon in hand, Thanos strode toward the battlefield's center.

Toward Noah.

He issued orders as he walked.

Soon, Noah noticed something.

The alien army began avoiding him.

They redirected toward Thor and Loki instead.

Noah looked up.

Thanos was approaching.

He slowed his magic.

The battlefield fell unnaturally quiet.

Thanos stopped and studied Noah carefully.

Then he spoke.

"Who are you?"

"I'm from Kamar-Taj."

Noah answered calmly.

"Kamar-Taj from our universe."

A breeze lifted his black sorcerer's robe.

"Kamar-Taj?"

"You're the Ancient One's disciple?"

Thanos frowned.

"Are you the guardian of a parallel universe?"

"That's right."

Noah nodded.

"I haven't officially taken office yet."

"But it won't be long."

"This time, I came with the Time Stone."

"And incidentally-"

"Incidentally?"

"To complete some tasks my master assigned me."

Their voices echoed across the battlefield.

At that moment, everyone who had just arrived finally understood.

This world-shaking sorcerer-

Was the Sorcerer Supreme of a parallel universe.

The realization spread like a shockwave.

Instinctively, many glanced toward this universe's Sorcerer Supreme.

Then quickly looked away.

All of them were curious.

What did this Sorcerer Supreme from another universe intend to do?

They didn't notice-

Strange looked even more bewildered now.

Because he realized something was wrong.

This situation was completely outside his control.

"I never foresaw this..."

"A Sorcerer Supreme from a parallel universe?"

"Even if he hasn't taken office yet..."
