Tony went to make a movie? Hearing this news, Noah's expression was incredibly strange. Noah really couldn't understand why Tony was so interested in filmmaking; honestly, Noah didn't think he had any talent in that area. And given Tony's habits, Noah thought he might have better development in Tokyo.
Noah wasn't very clear about how their "Ark" movie segment was doing now, because ever since Noah split off various projects, he hadn't managed them much. A person's energy is limited, and so is a mage's. Noah felt that just looking at the communication aspect was enough for now.
However, Noah was somewhat displeased; why didn't this guy take advantage of this time to really ponder some household items suitable for the magical world?
Noah hadn't forgotten the main purpose of bringing Tony in initially. How did it seem like everyone was forgetting it all of a sudden? "Oh, by the way." Victor didn't notice Noah's slightly displeased expression. As if remembering something, he continued: "Before that guy decided to dive into the film industry, he and I researched quite a few small things together, all suitable for mages to use. He called them 'Magic Appliances'?"
"Magic Appliances?" Noah was stunned: "You mean, we actually researched these things?"
"Yes." Victor nodded: "He and I together dealt with that guy named Killian, oh, the one who truly kidnapped Tony's girlfriend in your prophecy. After we resolved him, Tony felt he needed time to spend with his girlfriend."
"So?" Noah rubbed his chin. Two mages, one of whom was an Archmage, dealing with a Killian would be incredibly easy.
"So, he and I spent three months thoroughly researching and producing a batch of brand new items. And by the way, that guy also modified the Magic Core, making it more powerful in terms of frequency and output."
"But after finishing, that guy dumped everything on me.
He asked me to set up a factory to produce these new things, and then he ran back to accompany his girlfriend and shoot his movie."
Alright, so Tony still knew his priorities. Truly worthy of being an apprentice he taught, hmm. Noah rubbed his chin, internally remarking that he taught well and that Tony performed well, then he stopped paying much attention to these matters. As for the factory and such, Noah didn't need to worry about it, and perhaps even Victor wouldn't need to worry too much. With so many apprentices in Kamar-Taj, why would they need to do everything themselves? Just a simple instruction, and these apprentices would handle everything beautifully.
After chatting with Victor, Noah directly left Kamar-Taj.
Through the Sanctum's portal, Noah instantly returned to the London Sanctum. The moment Noah landed, he saw an owl rushing into his arms, and behind the owl was a skinny orange cat. "Hey, Guu Guu, why are you chasing Hathaway again?" Noah looked at the little orange cat standing on the ground with an innocent face, feeling a bit speechless.
This little guy seemed to have almost forgotten that she was a Flerken, and she especially liked bullying the owl he raised. Noah himself couldn't do anything about this situation. It was fine when he was around, but what about when he wasn't?
Fortunately, this little guy probably found it too boring, which is why she tirelessly bothered Hathaway. Noah thought that as long as she didn't actually eat Hathaway, everything would be fine. He patted the cat's head, released Hathaway, and walked into the hall.
"Noah, you're back?" Ms.Haifin was leaning on the hall's long chair, drinking afternoon tea and reading a book.
The graceful posture of a woman and the unique temperament of a mage were perfectly displayed at this moment. When she saw Noah return, she revealed a warm smile, which made Noah feel an inexplicable comfort.
"Yes." Noah nodded and slowly sat next to Ms.Haifin: "After being busy for so long, I've finally figured out some important matters."
"You worked hard, Noah." Ms.Haifin smiled; she wanted to adjust her sitting posture and pull back her foot that was resting in front of Noah: "To be honest, you should have informed me about the New York incident."
"No need for that." Noah looked confidently at Ms.Haifin:
"Don't worry, I'm completely fine. Such small matters are no problem for me at all."
"I know you're great, Noah, you've always been great."
Ms.Haifin sighed: "But shouldn't such matters belong to all mages? I..."
"So, more or less, mages from all over the world have been dispatched. If you belong to the British Ministry of Magic, then Evan and they have already fought on your behalf. If it's Kamar-Taj, then needless to say, just look at my performance."
"..." Ms.Haifin was at a loss for words after Noah's comment. After a long while, she shook her head and simply stopped discussing the matter. She certainly understood Noah's meaning, but Ms.Haifin was a strong-willed person; she wasn't so willing to always be protected by others. Otherwise, how could she, in her prime, have run out alone to care for an orphanage?
Sighing, Ms.Haifin picked up her book, intending to continue reading. Ms.Haifin herself enjoyed such a quiet and warm atmosphere.
"By the way, Avril, how was the Sanctum when I was away?" Unfortunately, Noah was always the kind of presence that spoiled the mood. In such an environment, he actually asked an irrelevant question. Ms.Haifin glanced at Noah; she had long been used to Noah's ways, so she tilted her head and said directly: "Everything seems normal. The Sanctum has Wongand Dennis watching over it, no problems at all. Lily was a bit displeased because you left, but she's working very hard on her studies. As for that alien prince, he seems to have adapted to life here."
Noah nodded. As he thought, with Wongand Dennis
guarding the Sanctum, there were indeed no problems. As for Lily, Noah felt there wasn't much to say; he couldn't help it if she was displeased about him not being able to teach her. However, Loki's situation caught Noah's attention. Would this guy honestly adapt to life here?
"What is Loki doing now?" Noah leaned back, making himself more comfortable: "How did he adapt?"
"The library." Ms.Haifin said without looking up: "Ever since you made him go to the library, I've run in to read after finishing my work in the Sanctum. He's like a bookworm now. If there's no surprise, he should be in the library right now."
"That guy's just hiding in the library reading?"
"Yes, after he finished reading Modern History, he seemed to have completely changed. Before, he looked like he was suffering from dementia; now, he looks like a normal person, a normal Earthling, not that overly arrogant guy."
"So that's how it is..." Noah nodded. The book History of Magic: Modern Era didn't contain much, but it encompassed some very interesting things. Among them were the significant changes Noah's appearance brought to the magical world, including contributions like meditation. Setting aside everything else, just meditation alone would probably be enough to shock Loki! Asgard's cultivation system is, to some extent, an amplified expression of Earth's "bloodline theory."
Whether Asgardians or other ancient races, they don't have to do much. They just need to wait for time to pass until they mature, and their natural power will increase, then they just need to practice the techniques corresponding to these powers. But for Noah to create a technique or method of "self-improvement" is truly astonishing.
What Noah didn't know was that Loki's reaction was far more exaggerated than he imagined. Loki now truly felt his scalp tingle, because he knew that as long as such methods existed, Earth's magical civilization would inevitably become incredibly terrifying someday.
At that time, Earth could completely elevate its civilization to the level of an advanced cosmic civilization with these mages! Although this ability was strictly limited, not all mages mastered it, but Loki felt this was the most logical thing. After all, no civilization lacks "rebels"; it's best to restrict the flow of these abilities and bestow them upon the most suitable people.
If this continues, Earth will probably reach this point in just a few hundred years! To be honest, Loki was now genuinely jealous of Noah.
In his opinion, if Noah were a bit older, with a white beard making him look like a kind old man, there would be no problem calling this guy a sage or a great prophet! Moreover, Loki increasingly valued some of the things Noah said, especially those he said to Loki himself.
Although Loki had repeatedly thought about these words and felt they were truly reasonable, and it was also because of these words that Loki directly defected in the Battle of New York.
However, this doesn't mean Loki fully believed what Noah said. Perhaps in Loki's own psychological understanding, he was merely finding a way out for himself. Furthermore, he was indeed somewhat against and feared Thanos's actions, and he felt that he held this mindset.
But now, Loki probably wouldn't dare to think that way, especially after knowing that Noah alone had almost changed a civilization even if it was only a nascent form. But this also proved Noah's extraordinary nature, and consequently, Loki didn't dare to underestimate even Earth's civilization. Noah was completely unaware of these changes in Loki.
After spending a good afternoon with Ms.Haifin, Noah also planned to check on the two Infinity Stones in his possession. Especially the Space Stone, which had been in his hands for almost half a year now.
