"Welcome, Mr. Finniel—or more accurately, Mr. Guardian."

"Don't be so formal, Dennis. We'll need your help in the future."

Noah smiled politely at the respectful young man before him.

Honestly, seeing Dennis in front of him made Noah feel a bit awkward. If he hadn't intervened, Dennis would likely have been the new Guardian of the London Temple.

This was the same Dennis who had been stabbed by Casillas with the space blade in the original timeline, only to be sent to Kamar-Taj for treatment and never heard from again.

After Kamar-Taj University's fourth-year graduation ceremony, Heinier, the former Guardian of the London Temple, announced his resignation and returned to Kamar-Taj to study magic.

The new successor was Noah. Though this news was shocking, most magicians were merely surprised, not dissatisfied.

Noah's contributions to Kamar-Taj were undeniable. The meditation techniques that benefited all Kamar-Taj magicians were his idea, as were the Kamar-Taj Magic University and the Kamar-Taj Magic Award. These initiatives had deeply impacted many magicians.

Even team leaders and instructors often boasted about Noah's achievements to their students.

Even after being elected, Noah had the assurance that the portals between the London Temple and Kamar-Taj would never close, and he could visit Kamar-Taj at any time. This had been casually mentioned by Mordo.

The magicians didn't feel any particular emotions beyond surprise when the official announcement came from the Ancient One.

Though Heinier was slightly regretful that his disciple hadn't taken the position, he had no complaints. In fact, he was pleased. Noah's talents and magical abilities had earned full recognition, and Heinier believed his disciples could benefit greatly under Noah's leadership.

"By the way, Mr. Finniel..."

"Stop, Dennis, just call me Noah. We're familiar with each other, so no need for formalities. When I was studying at Hogwarts, I often came through here."

Dennis, still respectful, paused. Noah rubbed his brow in mild distress.

When they first met, Noah had been studying at Hogwarts, and Dennis hadn't been so formal. Although the respect Dennis showed him was nice, Noah hadn't expected him to act this way, especially given Dennis' potential to help him in the future.

But if Dennis insisted, Noah wouldn't say anything.

"Alright, Noah. There's something I think you should know."

"What's up, buddy?" Noah asked as he glanced at the temple with Ms. Heifen and Wong.

"The Minister of Magic wants to meet you."

"What? Professor Dumbledore? He wants to meet me? Doesn't he know that I'm the new Guardian of the Temple?"

"Well, now, no one really knows who the new Guardian is. They only know that my teacher stepped down, and a new Guardian has taken over. Based on tradition, the Ministries of Magic from other European countries will visit soon."

Noah touched his head, surprised. He hadn't expected the new Guardian to have so many responsibilities.

Having to meet with the Ministers of Magic from various countries wasn't something he had anticipated when taking on the position.

"Fine, let's meet. When will Professor Dumbledore arrive?"

"He should be on his way and will be here shortly."

Noah nodded. Meeting Dumbledore like this seemed interesting.

He paused, realizing it had only been a short time since he last saw the professor. But when he thought about it, it had actually been almost two years since they last met.

The last time, Noah had brought the mutants to the British Ministry of Magic. That was more than two years ago now.

Noah shook his head, amused. Scientists were known for having poor senses of time due to their constant work on research, but so were magicians.

Magicians, with their long lifespans and constant focus on magic, often didn't care about the passage of time.

Just like Noah, who had been occupied with studying dragon species and teaching new students—things that consumed his time without him realizing how quickly it passed.

"Well, I didn't even realize I attended a graduation ceremony," Noah muttered, shaking his head.

He led Ms. Heifen and Wong to the second floor to find their rooms.

The temple was massive, with enough rooms to accommodate many people, so Noah and the others had no trouble finding places to stay.

Noah even thought that, should 50 magicians come, there would still be plenty of space.

"I didn't expect we'd return like this," Ms. Heifen said, gazing at her room with a touch of emotion.

The room was clean and modern yet retained a classic British style. It seemed to perfectly match Ms. Heifen's tastes.

The most important thing, however, was that it was in Britain.

Although Noah didn't feel particularly attached to this place—his soul wasn't originally from here—Ms. Heifen had deep ties to the country.

"We'll stay here unless I step down one day. But even then, you're welcome to stay. Besides, traveling to Kamar-Taj is just a blink of an eye," Noah said, sensing Ms. Heifen's thoughts.

"Of course. I'll have more time to visit the orphanage without worrying about the time difference," Ms. Heifen said, her smile growing brighter.

She stood up and hugged Noah gently. "Thank you, Noah."

Noah was taken aback for a moment but quickly regained his composure, patting her gently on the back.

He didn't know exactly why she was thanking him, and he didn't need to understand. Perhaps it was for bringing her into a new world, or maybe for letting her return to London, or even for giving her a place where she could feel at home.

It was complicated, and Noah didn't want to dwell on it.

"Okay, dear, Professor Dumbledore is coming." After a long hug, Noah noticed Dennis approaching the room and gently reminded Ms. Heifen.

"Yeah," she hummed, releasing Noah and beginning to arrange her room as though she hadn't heard him at all.

"Well, aren't you coming to meet Professor Dumbledore with me?"

Noah was still savoring the feeling of the hug but knew he had more important matters to attend to.

"I won't go, Noah," Ms. Heifen said without turning around. "You're the Guardian now. You should handle things like this. I need to finish setting up my room."

Noah sighed. He wasn't sure what he'd do in the future with Wong, but he'd need help managing things like this.

He could only walk out silently as Dennis stood waiting outside.

"You're out, Noah. Minister Dumbledore is already outside the temple."

Dennis didn't pry into personal matters—magicians rarely did. He simply stated the fact.

"Alright. Where's Wong?" Noah asked, helping Ms. Heifen close the door.

"Wong is tidying up the library. He also wanted me to tell you that the storage room needs attention too, so he won't be joining you."

Noah rolled his eyes. Wong was being tricky. He probably knew how much Noah hated these meetings with ministers, so he'd found an excuse to avoid them.

Noah couldn't help but laugh at Wong's predictability.

"Shaking my head," Noah muttered as he followed Dennis downstairs. With Dumbledore already here, he couldn't afford to keep the professor waiting.

"Dennis, don't you have anything else to do?" Noah asked.

Dennis paused, thinking. "Hmm, I might need to go to Kamar-Taj. The temple is short-handed since the teacher took many magicians with him. But I suppose I can wait until after you meet with Professor Dumbledore."

"No, don't go today. We'll talk after I meet with the professor."

"But Lord Guardian, won't you have a lot to discuss with the Minister? Do you want me to step aside?"

"No, just boil some tea, pour some water, or take notes. Or you could be my 'flute boy' and play some music if you like."

"Can't magic handle that? Also, I don't play the flute, but I can play something else if you prefer."
