She didn't know how long she sat there or how many hours passed as his words kept ringing in her head, eating at her brain. Her hand never left her belly.
Her boy. Her third try and all she had to give him was a broken world. She refused to leave her seat near the window. The sky ws red, a bloody red that matched Malachai's eyes. Lightning streaks flashed through the sky, and the world seemed to still as she kept looking at the sight.

The words were bold and damning in their own right. He gave her a front row seat to his mass murder. He told her the plans and now she would watch in the safety of their own home.
"You're talking about mass murder!? Killing innocents! You want to wipe an entire race!" He smiled, shaking his head like she was a child who didn't grasp the importance of the concept.
