Fiona stood at one spot, unaware of the fact that she was staring at the young woman. It was until Lara passed by her side and touched her hand that she composed herself and tailed behind Lara.
The family who were at the table gave her awkward looks, wondering why she was behaving that way. It seemed like she was breathing heavily as though she was scared of something. Yes, she was scared of the fact that Felix and whoever he was scheming with had succeeded in tricking the entire family.
But why did they bring up such rules, that before he becomes Alpha, his sister has to be found and he has to find his mate.
"Are you okay?" Lara asked her as they walked away from the dining room and into the kitchen. "You're acting like you saw a ghost."
Fiona's laboured breathing subsided and she settled on a chair in the kitchen. Lara kept looking at her, wondering if everything was alright. Her blonde hair was tied in a ponytail while her dark eyes tried to ascertain if Fiona was alright.
