Ray was visibly relieved as he heard the bell ring for the third time, winning the lot effortlessly.
The other participants in the auction house were perplexed and turned their heads towards room number 1 on the third floor to see who had bought the plot for lease for only 5 years at the extraordinary price of a top-grade weapon.
They all turned back after realizing they couldn't see inside due to the arrays protecting the room from outside observation.
While the audience was still discussing the first auctioned item, John's voice brought their attention back to the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, as a fellow cultivator has brought back the first auction items, let's not waste any time and start the next session of the auction," John spoke.
"Now the first item in the second session of the auction is high-grade Qi training pills which can help the Qi training cultivators to increase the spirit energy in the body."
"There are a total of 10 bottles of pills here, and each bottle consists of 10 pills and can be used by any level of qi training cultivators," John announced
"Alright, let's kick off the auction with the first bottle. The starting price is 10 low-grade spirit stones, and each bid should increase an amount of 5 spirit stones," John announced.
Room number 50 bids 15 spirit stones.
Axe mercenary group bids 20 spirit stones.
Room number 20 bids 30 spirit stones.
Room number 90 bids 40 spirit stones
As the bid reached 70 spirit stones, no other offers were made, and the first bottle was sold in a few minutes.
The remaining QI pill bottles were sold in the next hour for an average of 70 to 90 low-grade spirit stones.
Jessica also bid for a bottle and won it for 80 spirit stones which she took a loan from Ray.
"The third item in the auction is a Breakthrough Pill, designed to help those stuck in the middle qi training realm advance to the late stages."
"The starting price is also 10 low-grade spirit stones, and each increment should be no less than 5 spirit stones," John announced.
The pill was highly contested and bought for 70 spirit stones by an individual cultivator.
"Now that the pill section is completed let's move on to the Array formations."
"The first one is first-level top-grade mountain protection defensive formation which starts at 100 low-grade spirit stones and each increment starts at 10 spirit stones," John announced
The mountain protection formation was eventually sold for 600 spirit stones.
Then came the top-grade attack formation and the top-grade spirit gathering formation, which were sold for 700 and 1000 low-grade spirit stones, respectively.
The puppets were auctioned off, and Ray eventually bought the humanoid puppet for 10,000 low-grade spirit stones.
Another foundation-building cultivator bought the animal puppet for 12,000 spirit stones.
After that, John gave everyone a break and invited the servants to distribute juice to every cultivator who had attended the auction.
This has won the favor of the low-level cultivators, as many were treated harshly in other places, and no city has ever treated them this nicely.
After the break, the main items that everyone was anticipating arrived, featuring the second level of various inheritances.
"The second level inheritance exercise up for auction is the formation book, which includes all 100 different types of first-level formations and 5 different second-level low-grade formations," John spoke.
"The starting price of the inheritance is 1000 low-grade spirit stones, and the minimum increment should be at least 100 low-grade spirit stones," John announced.
As soon as the inheritances began to be auctioned, a low tension filled the auction house, and everyone was gearing up to get their hands on the formation book.
After a fierce battle, the Qi families in Black Rock City, who specialized in formations, joined forces and bought the inheritance for 250,000 low-grade spirit stones.
Then came the alchemy books which consisted of all the first-grade pill recipes and five second-grade low-level pill recipes.
This item was fiercely contested by many cultivators, including foundation realm experts, and was eventually purchased for an extraordinary price of 400,000 low-grade spirit stones by a foundation realm expert who intended to boost his family's inheritance.
Then came the talisman inheritance book, which consists of 100 different first-level talismans and 5 second-level talisman drawing methods.
Although the talisman inheritance was mostly available in the market, the second level was not easily accessible and was eventually sold for 200,000 spirit stones. Various qi families from different cities collectively bought it after they reached an agreement.
The last one was a puppet inheritance book, detailing the construction methods of puppets up to the early stage of the foundation realm. It was eventually bought by a foundation realm expert with an interest in puppets for 300,000 low-grade spirit stones.
Then John eventually auctioned the items consigned by the other cultivators ranging from pills to formations then talismans to spirit beasts.
These items were mainly contested by individual cultivators seated on the bottom floor, as the guests on the top floors have no scarcity of these resources.
Since the Black Rock Auction House charges only one percent of the item's price as a consignment fee, individual cultivators have eagerly placed their treasures up for auction, making this round the longest yet.
By the time the last item was auctioned, it was already dark. The auction house opened the dome, creating the perfect mood for the final bidding.
John who was conducting the auction until now got down the stage and handed the stage to Morgan as he decided to preside over the auctioning of the last item.
"Dear guest, I'll introduce myself again. I'm the city lord of this city, and I will be your host for the auction, where I will also act as the auctioneer for the last item," Morgan spoke eloquently.
"As mentioned earlier, the auction house has 990 sachets of special medicine that can cure any diseases or injuries of qi realm cultivators," Morgan reminded them.
"Instead of selling one sachet at a time, we have grouped 10 sachets and divided them into 9 slots, allowing everyone to form groups and buy these slots."
"Then the remaining 900 will be grouped again into 9 different slots and auctioned afterward," Morgan concluded.
