Cattle-horse is an adjective describing real men who work at least 12 hours with high intensity every day, and sleep less than 6 hours.
Super cattle-horse means working at least 20 hours a day, still at high intensity. Over the next three months, Rhodes truly experienced this kind of life.
At first, Rhodes was very excited about the Goddess of Life and Lelith. After the Goddess of Life possessed Lelith, her appearance became even more beautiful than before.
The aura of life she emitted excited Rhodes to no end, but what followed was endless torment!
He felt utterly drained, both physically and mentally!
"You're a true man, Rhodes! There are some things you must endure! Come on, for the future of our three children!" Isha smiled, leaning on Rhodes' shoulder as she spoke.
Yet the Goddess of Life's beautiful smile, like spring flowers blooming, to Rhodes looked more like the grin of a succubus.
"So it's just you two taking turns, right? Even though you now share one body, you're still just one person. But I'm being split between two people!" Rhodes said.
"At least let me rest a bit! I only sleep four hours a day, not even enough time for training."
"Only you can give us the genetic material we need! Now you know how hard it is for the Eldar to reproduce, right? Sometimes this can even kill the father from exhaustion. Only after the birth of Slaanesh could you ask for help in such matters—before that, there was no such thing as outside help.
So you must take up the responsibility. This body has already begun to nurture life; I can feel it. The child has already started growing!" Isha said.
Every Eldar, once born, is practically immortal. Even if they die, their souls just wander the Warp for a while and can resurrect.
Now, the divine child they wanted, after three months of Rhodes' effort, was finally conceived. To bring it to term would require even more effort from both Rhodes and her.
Rhodes only bore a small part of the burden; she and Lelith lay in bed every day, unable to move, needing to devote all their energy to nourishing the child.
Her life force had been draining daily, and the coming year would be the hardest—the most fragile period for the child, and Rhodes would need to constantly provide nutrients.
"I think the Dark Eldar's method of reproduction is pretty good," Rhodes said.
They reproduced far more than the Exodites or Aeldari.
They reproduce by cloning, refreshing new bodies directly in incubation pods.
"Those lowly creatures are not my children! Only truly natural-born Eldar possess strong psychic talents; only then are their souls beacons in the Warp! The Dark Eldar are filth, used by Slaanesh for ten thousand years. While they torture other lives, they feed Slaanesh their own souls and also the souls of others. Otherwise, Slaanesh would have wiped them out long ago," Isha replied.
Isha despised the Dark Eldar to the extreme.
"I'm just a bit tired! You know, in two days we'll reach the territory of the Space Wolves. I'll have to fight those guys then," Rhodes said.
"Don't think I don't know. These three months, I've been chatting with my children in the Warp. Your mission this time is more like an ambassador's mission, and you have a super lifeform under your command—though its soul is lacking, its body is more than qualified," Isha said.
"Do you need to fight personally? Your men can handle it. Don't try to slack off."
"I swear, I'll only have this one Eldar child. If there's another, I'll lose my mind," Rhodes said.
"Don't forget about Yvrain! She's very close to you too," Lelith took over half the body's control and smiled.
"She doesn't need me, right?" Rhodes said, a cold sweat on his forehead.
Yvrain was basically a friends with benefits; she shouldn't want to have a child with him, right?
"If you're good enough, and can have a child with me, Yvraine will definitely have thoughts," Lelith said.
"Don't worry, without my help, you can't have children with other Eldar. Rest assured," said Isha.
First, their life levels are not the same. Even though that girl is a prophet of the unawakened God of Death, compared with Rhodes the super lifeform, she's still far behind. From what Isha had learned these months, Rhodes' life level would only climb higher in the future.
For the ultimate and supreme lifeforms Rhodes mentioned, Isha was very interested! Her own child's soul needed to reach the level of the Chaos gods, and its body should evolve toward those two types of lifeforms.
"That's good news," Rhodes said.
"Don't worry. If that girl really wants it, I can help a little!" A sly smile appeared on Isha's lips.
"Ahem! No need for that!"
"Hehehe! Look how scared you are! Don't worry, your next Eldar child won't be a god. This time, you're nurturing a god, so it's different. With your super lifeform standard, one time gives enough nutrients and genetic material. You won't need to do this again," Isha said.
Giving birth to a god is not easy. She'd lived ten thousand years in Nurgle's garden, constantly channeling life energy to digest the countless cosmic viruses Nurgle fed her, growing her power.
Only then could she bear the nutritional drain of a god-child. Even so, Rhodes still had to provide a lot of nutrients, and Lailith's evolved body was needed.
Birthing a second god-child was impossible, even if the other was a great prophet of the Death God. With Rhodes, they could only have a regular child, not even a super lifeform at birth.
"Speaking of which, Yvraine and the others should be arriving soon. Quite a few Aeldari want to see you this time," Lelith said.
Not long ago, Isha contacted the Aeldari and Exodites through the Warp, summoning elite prophets and warriors. Even the Ynnari received the message.
Soon they would all gather to help Isha complete her mission—finding the fragments of the god of war Khaine.
Those willing to acknowledge her as their mother-goddess were happy to offer their fragments freely. Reviving the Eldar god of war would be a huge benefit.
"They'll take a few more days. We'll probably meet on Fenris," Rhodes said.
"So you need to quickly deal with the Space Wolves. They're said to be the most unruly and mischievous of all Space Marines," Isha said.
"It's fine. I'll make them submit. So, can I rest for a couple days?" Rhodes stretched his back and asked.
"No, darling, you need to work even harder—I believe you can endure," Isha shook her head with a smile.
"..." Rhodes.
"But the hardest part is over. Now you'll have at least 10 hours of free time each day; the remaining 14, you'll be working overtime," Isha added.
"That's fine! With ten hours to rest, I can recover a bit.
Actually, I'm curious: the Ynnari are collecting the five Blades of the Crone. If they gather all five, can they really summon Ynnead and kill Slaanesh?" Rhodes asked.
"Of course not! If those five swords could really awaken the god of death, it'd be far too easy," Isha answered without hesitation.
"Why do I feel you're always evasive about death god questions, but answer everything else about the Eldar gods honestly? What's special about the god of death?" Rhodes asked.
"Are you sure you want to know?" Isha asked.
Rhodes nodded. He truly wanted to know about the god of death.
"The god of death is the embodiment of death for the Eldar. But for the Eldar, death is almost nonexistent—our souls are nearly indestructible unless deliberately destroyed.
So, such a race shouldn't have a death god, but one appeared anyway.
If he truly comes into being, not just the Eldar, but all beings and gods related to the Eldar, will be doomed to die.
There's even an ancient legend that the Dark King is the incarnation of the death god, for the Dark King destroys all life," Isha said.
"So, our future child will be killed by the death god too? Should I sabotage the Ynnari's plan?" Rhodes asked.
"Yes. It's complicated."
