The dungeons were once cleared by large groups made up of wizards, magical creatures, demi-humans, and wizards, even some muggles were participants in these incursions, this in a time when both worlds congenial continuously a time when the constant conflicts over the years separated all species.
Although I still think that it is not the best way to make a test, teachers are not wrong to look for the best way for each student to see their capabilities in their school beginnings, by taking this test they can explore their talents and exploit them in the best way.
In the same way, they will also be able to see their shortcomings and work on them. It is a risky method, but effective in the long run for each magician. Besides, this may help me to see my progress in a more efficient way and without having to measure myself in magical power, and in the best case scenario find something that is useful for the manufacture of magical objects.

Patrick quickly sticks to me and pulls my arm to go to Phylicia, although halfway there he stops when he sees a boy approaching her to recruit her in his group.

"Alright Dion, look that group is apparently missing 3 members, let's go fast"- Patrick says as he takes my arm again to lead me to the group he was pointing to.

"Yes of course we just got one more to be complete, so that's perfect."- says a tall guy who seems to be the one who will lead the group.
"Alright students since you are all in groups, pay attention to the following directions."- says Professor McGonagall.
"Each group will be given a potion kit and a map that will be drawn and pointing out important places in the dungeon as you go, remember always stay together don't get separated, and don't forget the spell to give the rescue signal." - says professor Silvanus
At the end of the instructions each group was assigned a number from 1 to 5 to indicate the order in which to enter the dungeon, in each dungeon there are different paths to follow so when entering it is very likely that each group chooses a different path and cover more likely to clear the dungeon effectively.
Seeing the other groups are excited to enter their first dungeon, it's no wonder as this stage is an incredible step in mages to perfect some spells. In my case it was no different in the future, although we had no other choice, entering dungeons became a constant task to find magical materials to fight the dark forces, but this leads to a great risk of loss in terms of soldiers of the revolution.

The group we are in is group 5 to enter, while Phylicia is the third, so she is likely to leave before us at best.
"What are you guys called?" asks one of the students in the group we were in.
"Ha, you guys can call me the great dementor-destroying wizard," says Patrick with an arrogant tone.
"Hahahahahaha that's a bit ridiculous, have you ever fought a dementor?"- says the girl in charge of carrying the potions with her.
"Ehh... not really but..."Patrick was cornered by the constant laughter of the group headquarters before them-" call me Patrick"- he says in a low voice.
"As you say dementor destroyer hahahah"- the girl says again.
"How obnoxious are the girls in this school"- says Patrick whispering near me.
"Just ignore them, let's do our best, Patrick."
"Well... I guess we have no choice" - says Patrick somewhat discouraged.
"We are Aelric, Lyara, Vaelin, Seraphis, Kaelor, Nyxithra, Talrico, and I am Estrella"- says the potions girl while pointing to each of her companions.
"It's a pleasure I hope to count on you for that test."
"You are a very formal boy apparently, Dion right?"- says Aelric.
"Yes that's right, have we met?"
"No, not at all, but I've heard rumors about you from the wagon, plus you put on a show on your house selection day."- says Aelric.
"So it's you, that time I couldn't see you well because of the crowd of people ahead, it's amazing tell me how much you talked to the hat?"- says Talrico excitedly.
"Don't suffocate him talrico, it must not have been a good experience for sure, besides it's almost our turn to enter, get ready."- says Seraphis in a reassuring tone.
The group is made up of 6 boys and 4 girls, taking into account the magical abilities of the first-row mages, which are those who have more capabilities in terms of defense (4 mages in front - two boys and two girls), the second line are those who do not stand out largely by any magical ability itself, but more however can conjure basic attack spells to scare away some magical creatures (three mages, two men and a girl. ) and finally three to the rear more specialized in combat, that's where I am along with another guy and the girl with the potions.
After a few minutes in which we were analyzing the best strategy to enter, we are called to start our test, the group was formed as follows, in front of Aelric, Kaelor, and Lyara, in the second line to the sides Seraphis, Talrico and in the middle Patrick which is good is in the middle of all, so it is the one that less risks can get to run. And in the back line, we have Nyxithra, Estrella, and me.
In our group, there are two sophomores, Aelric, who will lead us through the dungeon, and Nyxithra, who will be on the lookout for any attack from the rear.
"Group 5 please enter"- says Professor McGonagall-" good luck with your adventure, give your best effort,t and be very careful."
"Yes ma'am!"- we all shout in chorus.
As planned, we all enter in the respective order as indicated, we all use lumus, the spell that illuminates the tip of the wands so we can see in the dark.
We are only a few meters inside and the entrance has already disappeared, the path as indicated is drawn on the map so we don't get lost when looking for the exit.
"Okay guys, from here everything depends on us, let's go all out, team"- says Aelric in a confident and motivating tone for the group, something worthy of a leader.
This will be an easy task if it's an F-rank dungeon, of course considering that we used to clear with my team from before higher-level dungeons. Even if it is so and I am safe, some of the other students are a little scared of the darkness that floods us, but everything changes when a few steps ahead we manage to appreciate some lights that allow us to make everything around us more visible.
Luminous stone and luminous moss is what surrounds much of the dungeon from here on, that facilitates the range of vision to prevent attacks from future creatures."- says Nyxithra-" don't let your guard down, they are already here."
