The disaster situation in Baise is more severe than in Ningnan. Not only was the city flooded, but several districts and nearly a hundred towns and villages were also submerged. The disaster affected many people and a large area, and transportation, electricity, and even communication were disrupted in many places.
Rescue team members Ma Jintao, Guo Weitao, Xiao Yu, Chen Jian, and Dongdong used six power boats as "mother ships," guiding assault boats towing fiberglass vessels. They collaborated with the Beihu Reserve Boat Bridge Team, the 401 Military Boat Bridge Team, and others on rescue missions, making trips back and forth to transfer people trapped by the flood to safe areas.
