Chapter 434 - Kazekage Ninja-Chapter 71: Let Me Tell You Something—Madara Isn’t Dead!

The Gold and Silver Brothers made their debut after Hashirama's death, most likely during the mid-to-late period of Tobirama's reign as Second Hokage. The key evidence? The Nine-Tails.

Back then, the Nine-Tails was Konoha's trump card, and its jinchūriki was none other than Hashirama's widow, Uzumaki Mito. For the brothers to survive an entire week inside the Nine-Tails' stomach, there's only one explanation: during Tobirama's era, Konoha and the Hidden Cloud must have gone to war or at least clashed hard enough that Konoha unleashed the Nine-Tails in battle. (If they were desperate enough to send the late Hokage's widow into combat, you know things got ugly.)

Later in the manga, it's recorded that the Second Raikage was the one who reached out to Konoha for an alliance. That makes sense—Cloud got the short end of the stick in that war and had to swallow their pride. The Gold and Silver Brothers, true war hawks, couldn't stand such a humiliating peace.

That's what led to the infamous assassination attempt on both the Second Hokage and Second Raikage. (This actually fits the timeline pretty well.)

So during Hashirama's lifetime, he never actually met the Gold and Silver Brothers—meaning he never saw the Six Paths tools in action.

You might ask: didn't anyone in the Hidden Cloud use the Six Paths tools before the brothers? Honestly, it's unlikely.

Using those relics demands a monstrous amount of chakra—a threshold most ninja can't even dream of reaching.

Remember the Fourth Great Ninja War? Tenten picked up the Bashōsen and, after just a few swings, her chakra was tapped out and she collapsed. And Tenten, while not the strongest of Konoha's original twelve, was a jōnin by then—she'd summoned oceans and giant ships, and even Yamashiro Aoba called her "the legendary portable warehouse." Her chakra reserves weren't anything to laugh at.

But the Gold and Silver Brothers? They wielded four of the Six Paths tools at once, fighting like they were holding ordinary ninja gear. Their chakra bars were on a whole other level.

Even as Cloud's most wanted criminals, their overwhelming power left a deep impression on the Third Raikage. In the manga, when the brothers were revived with Impure World Reincarnation, the Third Raikage was visibly uneasy. (Fun fact—the Amber Purifying Pot was actually taken back from those two by the Third Raikage himself.)

So when the Third Raikage started forming his "alphabet squads," he was desperate to find new ninja who could master the Six Paths tools.

Luckily, he found them—another pair of brothers: Kimura Gō and Kimura Jū.

These two were born tough, with chakra reserves to match. Maybe not quite up to the Gold and Silver Brothers' legendary level, but enough to meet the bar.

The Third Raikage poured resources into their training, even designing custom jutsu and tactics around their strengths.

The elder brother, Kimura Gō—codename Oei—wielded the Kohaku no Jōhei and the Seven Star Sword, both offensive relics. His focus was pure speed, and the Raikage didn't hold back—he taught him Lightning Release Armor, making Oei one of only three in the village who could use it. His speed could rival even the legendary Moon God.

The younger brother, Kimura Jū—codename Zaide—used the Bashōsen and the red gourd: one for attack, one for sealing. The Raikage had him focus on chakra capacity and taijutsu, so he could keep up a barrage with the Bashōsen while guaranteeing the gourd's safety.

Being blood brothers, their teamwork was flawless. In campaign after campaign, they reminded everyone of the original Gold and Silver Brothers.

Hashirama, meanwhile, had no idea what was going on—but Oei's actions made him suspicious.

What's this kid up to? Swings his sword at me, then runs off? Is he just here to farm reputation points? Reminds me of that Takigakure ninja who used to lob a few shuriken from afar and bolt.

And what did I just spit out, anyway? My body feels totally fine…

Before Hashirama could figure it out, Jinghang was already closing in. Hashirama didn't have time to think—he just started trading blows.

Jinghang's attacks gradually slowed, and then he suddenly leapt out of range.

"Almost forgot—there's something you really ought to know."

Hashirama paused, lowering his guard.

"What trick are you playing at, kid?"

Jinghang waved his hands. "No tricks, I swear. I've got some news you'll want to hear. We can put the fight on hold for a minute, right?"

Hashirama folded his arms, raising an eyebrow. "I'm already in the Pure Land. What could possibly interest me? Go on."

Jinghang cleared his throat. "Listen up: your old rival, Uchiha Madara… he's still alive."

The moment the words left his mouth, Hashirama's body started to tremble—whether it was joy or shock, even he couldn't say.

"What did you say?!"

"Uchiha Madara… didn't die. He's alive. Right now. Still alive."

Jinghang repeated it, slow and clear.

"That's impossible! At the Valley of the End, I— I killed him with my own hands… You're lying!"

Hashirama's voice shook with anger.

Jinghang frantically waved his hands. "I'm not lying! We fought just a couple years ago, you know? The Uchiha have this crazy dōjutsu that can change fate itself—it's called Izanagi."

"Izanagi?"

"Yep. But it costs an eye. If you don't believe me… the scar on your shoulder—he bit you there, didn't he?"

Jinghang pointed, smiling at Hashirama's shoulder.

Hashirama's hand instinctively went to the old scar. Only he knew about that—he'd never told Tobirama, or anyone. Yet his "future grandson-in-law" somehow knew. That hit home.

"If you still don't believe me, I've got something else—Madara's autograph. You'd recognize his handwriting, right?"

Jinghang pulled a small notebook from his coat and tossed it over. Hashirama caught it with one hand.

As Kazekage, there was always too much to remember. A good memory isn't as reliable as a bad pen—taking notes was a habit Jinghang had brought from his past life, and this little notebook had always been with him. (Palm-sized, nothing fancy.)

"Check the first page. Can't miss it."

Hashirama opened the cover. Four characters, bold and wild, filled the page.

His voice trembled. "U… chi… ha… Madara! It really is him!"

Just then, a sudden gale erupted from Zaide's red gourd in the distance. The air warped as a tremendous suction force yanked Hashirama straight toward it.

"What the hell?!"

Caught completely off guard, Hashirama's body shot toward the red gourd.

This kid… so sneaky…

It was only as he flew through the air that Hashirama realized what was happening.

At the very last second, just before he was sucked in, Hashirama clapped his hands together and, unnoticed, dropped a tiny seed-like object into the earth.

Then—he was gone, sealed inside the red gourd.

Zaide immediately slammed the stopper down.

Jinghang teleported in front of Zaide with a Flying Thunder God flash, hand outstretched. "Quick! Give it here!"

Zaide handed over the red gourd without hesitation.

Jinghang whipped out a stack of sealing talismans and wrapped the gourd tight, like he was prepping a package for express delivery.

"Heh, that's that."

Jinghang grinned, handing the gourd back to Zaide.
