Caroline and I didn't discuss much about Celine after she left, but instead, I began preparing and got dressed in a day dress before I stepped out of my room, with Caroline following behind me.
"So, you're going to have breakfast without the Alpha King?" Caroline asked from beside me with a low tone, glancing around and making sure the hallway was empty.
I glanced at her before I responded bluntly. "Yes, and I don't see the problem with it. I mean, should I starve myself simply because he's on a mission?"
We finally got to the stairs and I placed my hand on the handrail as we walked down the steps. On our way, we stumbled into a few staff members, but I ignored their stares and their existence entirely.
