"Lucifer."
The voice that suddenly echoed in the empty temple sounded far too clear.
The torches lining both sides of the walls flared to life instantly, casting a warm glow across Silvanus's calm face.
"Could you not use that tone with me? Seriously now—last time, you suddenly ripped my heart out, and this is how you choose to speak to me the next time we meet? Kid, you're getting more and more disrespectful!"
From above, light swiftly gathered and condensed into the form of Lucifer. He didn't possess a real body, merely a shimmering red projection.
"I'm not a kid anymore," Silvanus said slowly.
"Compared to my age, you're basically a newborn," Lucifer chuckled, then added, "So, you showing up here so suddenly—does that mean you've found something out? Raphael always did have a big mouth."
Silvanus asked, "Why did you lie to me last time?"
