Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: MONSTER'S BANE

As the figure finished speaking, Asher's system suddenly beeped, alerting him to a new notification. 'Another system is trying to take over you,' it read.

Asher's eyes widened in alarm as he felt a foreign presence attempting to infiltrate his mind. But his system was quick to respond, battling the invading system with a fierce determination.

The demon lady, Xoraxia, appeared beside him, her eyes blazing with fury as she lent her support to Asher's system. Together, they managed to repel the invading system, emerging victorious.

Asher breathed a sigh of relief as his system notified him of their win. But he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. What was that system, and why had it tried to take him over?

The figure, seeming to sense the people confusion, then he spoke up. "The people of this town have been given a system, a tool to help them grow stronger. But it is not just a simple gift. It is a means for me to guide and direct you, to help you become the strongest versions of yourselves."

Asher's system beeped again, and he read the notification with growing unease. 'This system is another way for the god to keep humans on a leash,' it read.

Asher's eyes locked onto the figure, his mind racing with questions. But before he could ask any of them, the figure spoke again.

"My work here is done. I will leave you now, but do not think that you are free. You are still bound to me, and you will do my bidding."

With that, the figure disappeared, leaving behind a monster that looked almost...cute. It had big, round eyes and a button nose, and its fur was a soft, fluffy white.

But despite its adorable appearance, the monster's aura was anything but cute. It was strong, incredibly so, and Asher could sense its power radiating from it like a palpable force.

"Hello there, humans," the monster said, its voice high-pitched and squeaky. "My name is Mochi, and I am the strongest in this region. My master, the god, has instructed me to create a training routine for you, one that will help you grow stronger and prepare you for the battles ahead."

Asher wondered what this routine might entail, and Mochi's next words did nothing to alleviate his concerns.

"First, you must kill all of these monsters," Mochi said, gesturing to the creatures that still roamed the town. "And don't worry if you die. You will come back, but know that you will feel the pain, and it will definitely hurt a lot."

Mochi's face split into a wide, toothy grin, and Asher felt a shiver run down his spine. This was going to be a long and painful training session.

The battle resumed, with Asher and the other humans fighting for their lives against the monsters. But Asher had an advantage that the others did not. His system allowed him to use 50% of Xoraxia's power, and he transformed into a being with shadowy hands and claws.

As Asher transformed, his body underwent a dramatic change. His eyes turned a piercing yellow, and his skin took on a dark, scale-like texture. His hands morphed into shadowy claws, razor-sharp and deadly. And on his head, a single horn burst forth, straight but yet menacing.

The horn was a deep, black, and it seemed to pulse with a dark energy. Asher could feel its power coursing through him, amplifying his strength and speed.

His mouth covered by a clothing which is apart of the transformation, this cloth had a fearful and deadly smile.

With a fierce battle cry, Asher charged into the fray, his shadowy claws flashing in the sunlight. The monsters were taken aback by his sudden transformation, and they stumbled backward in surprise.

Asher took advantage of the momentary confusion, striking down monster after monster with swift, deadly precision. His assassin blade, now transformed into a purple demonish blade, sliced through the creatures with ease, leaving behind a trail of blood and destruction.

The monsters were relentless, however, and they soon regained their footing. They launched a fierce counterattack, swarming Asher with sheer numbers.

But Asher was more than equal to the task. With his newfound strength and speed, he carved through the monsters like a hot knife through butter. His horn glowed with an eerie purple light, and his shadowy claws seemed to absorb the monsters' attacks, growing stronger with each blow.

As the battle raged on, Asher began to feel a strange, exhilarating sensation. It was as if he was becoming one with the monsters, his body adapting to their attacks and growing stronger with each passing moment.

The monsters, too, seemed to be changing. They were growing larger, more powerful, and their attacks were becoming increasingly ferocious. Asher realized that Mochi's training routine was not just about killing monsters - it was about adapting to their strength, and growing stronger in response.

With a fierce roar, Asher launched himself at the largest monster of all, a towering behemoth with scales as black as coal. The battle was far from over, and Asher was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. Bring it on, he thought, his horn glowing with an eerie dark light.

His assassin blade, now transformed into a demonish look, sliced through the monsters with ease. Asher was now strong enough to kill an A-rank monster in an instant, and he cut through the creatures like a hot knife through butter. Asher Powers were now obvious that it is from the strongest monster.

But despite his newfound strength, Asher knew that this was just the beginning. The training routine would only get tougher from here, and he steeled himself for the battles ahead. Bring it on, he thought, his eyes blazing with determination.
