Suddenly, Liam's phone rang just as he leaned in, lips inches from Lana's. The timing couldn't have been worse. He sighed, letting go of her waist as she quickly slipped away, muttering something about needing to get dressed. Her robe fluttered lightly as she disappeared, and he took a deep breath, pulling out his phone.
Lilith.
He stared at the name for a second, already imagining her irritated tone before even picking up. When he finally answered, he didn't even get the chance to say a word before her voice, sharp and cold, pierced through the speaker.
"Where the fuck have you been?"
Liam blinked, trying to keep his composure. "At home...?"
There was a pause, like she was holding herself back, then came the gritted teeth response. "I've sent someone to get you and Lana. You need to be here. Now."
Liam raised a brow. "Okay… What do you need me for?"
