"Hmm, maybe I should go get a coffee. I've been yawning all morning," I said, stretching my arms over my head.
The rough night of sleep last night caused me to wake up later than usual. I've been sitting at my desk, staring blankly at the screen.
After letting out another big yawn, I got up from my seat and walked out of my office, heading for the small breakroom on the floor below me. But as I stepped out into the hallway, I spotted someone else stepping out of Christian's office at the same time.
It's that woman from earlier. The one who Christian personally sent for an interview.
A tinge of jealousy shot up inside me. I glanced at her, looking her over a few times. She was cute, but the thing that bothered me the most was the flustered expression on her face.
She left Christian's office with quick steps, not noticing me until she almost bumped into me.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know there were others on this floor!" she said, surprised to bump into me.
