Chapter 8 - Title: The Renaissance of Shadows

Maria, determined to reach the depths of hell, had reached the 87th floor. There, she witnessed unimaginable horrors: deformed and terrifying creatures roamed the ruins. Using one of the few skills she had left, she located a door leading to the 88th floor. But it was no simple crossing. To advance, Maria had to kill and consume these creatures, absorbing their strength to continue her journey.

She continued in this manner until she reached the 98th floor, where she discovered that the place had been devastated, probably by the Army of the Void, leaving few obstacles in her path. This destruction allowed her to progress more quickly toward the depths of hell, where the darkness was thickest.

Meanwhile, in the world of the living, Melia brought Maria's lifeless body to her mother, Nitra. Seeing her dead daughter, Nitra burst into tears, raising her eyes to the sky and crying out, "Why must I endure this terrible life?" Clutching her daughter's body close, Nitra let the pain wash over her. Melia, watching this scene with disturbing coldness, murmured an apology before turning on her heel and leaving, leaving Nitra alone with her grief.

On the other side, in the depths of hell, Absoria trained with redoubled intensity, determined to prepare for the final battle. However, he was interrupted by one of his soldiers, Sia, who announced that a young girl wished to join the army. Intrigued, Absoria summoned the girl and asked her name and her motivations.

"My name is Maria, and I am here for you to help me get revenge," she replied in a firm voice.

But before she could say more, Stellearte, the skill of knowledge and probability, intervened. "Owner, this girl possesses a tiny trace of the energy of the god of shadows. Upon examining her vital data, I discovered that she is your biological daughter."

The shock was instantaneous. Absoria, usually cold and impassive, grabbed Maria forcefully, his piercing eyes searching for answers. "Tell me your story," he ordered.

Maria told him everything: how she had ended up in hell, how she had made it through the 87th floor, and how she had survived hell, killing and devouring the creatures in her path. As she spoke, Absoria loosened his grip, his impassive face betraying a glimmer of emotion.

He turned to his four generals and ordered them to find new clothes for her. Camelia, one of the generals, was intrigued and wondered what place this newcomer would have in their army.

Absoria then sat down on his throne, a dark seat built from the debris of the monsters from the floors he had ravaged. He looked at Maria and the assembly and declared: "You have not always known me as Absoria, or as the god of Void and Evil. Once, I was a man named Quitar."

The name resonated in Maria's mind, and she finally understood who this being before her was. Absoria then used the "Voice of the Knower," a skill that allowed him to transmit his memories directly to Maria. Images of his past life, his suffering, his betrayal, and his downfall flashed through the young girl's mind.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Maria burst into tears. "Dad..." she cried before throwing herself into his arms. Absoria, though still cold, couldn't help but show a hint of humanity as he held her close.

The four generals watched the scene, understanding that Maria was not just a new recruit, but an integral part of Absoria's past. They all knelt, acknowledging the new "young mistress" of the Army of the Void, ready to follow her, just as they had sworn allegiance to Absoria.

Thus, Maria, daughter of the god of the Void, found her place in this army of the damned, and they all prepared for the great conflict to come, a clash against heaven itself.
