The concentrated Living Existential Authority pressed against him from all directions, seeking entry if he wanted the full inheritance.
Suddenly, a massive inflow of information surged into his consciousness, and it was not merely knowledge or accumulated wisdom being transmitted. This felt like a penetrative force of life itself…a sentient will seeking to impose itself upon his very being with intention.
It did not ask for permission or negotiate or present options for consideration, instead seeking to brand him, to stamp his soul with an influence that would demand subservience to a higher power and establish a hierarchical relationship where he existed as subordinate rather than equal.
