Across the room, Elliot's eyes settled on the book—the very same book he'd used during the exam where his life had taken an unexpected, disastrous turn. The very book responsible for that slightly unfortunate incident of accidentally summoning Azrael as his husband.
Wait... slightly unfortunate? Elliot frowned, realizing his own thoughts. Since when did he consider that mess only slightly unfortunate? Was he getting used to having that overbearing Demon King around? No, that couldn't be it. But then again... Azrael had saved him more than once now, hadn't he? And he wasn't nearly as terrifying as Elliot had first imagined. Not all the time, at least.
But before his mind could wander too far down that treacherous path, his eyes hardened, and his lips curled into a scowl.
