Nyx said aloud, her violet eyes locking onto Adam's golden gaze.
He sighed, his hand reaching up to caress her cheek. Her dark hair swayed between his fingers, brushing against his face in gentle but sensual manner.
He gently tucked a strand behind her ear, his touch lingering as he spoke.
"You know, Nyx…
Adam began, his voice low, starting a conversation between them.
"You're really beautiful."
His smile caught her off guard, and a flush crept across her cheeks, her boldness softened by the unexpected compliment. But Adam's expression shifted, a wry edge to his sigh as he continued.
"You know, Nyx… you could get arrested for child molestation, approaching someone who is legally six years old as far as the system goes."
