Jin let out a long, slow breath.
His shoulders came down. His hand, which had drifted halfway toward the hilt of his sword without him noticing, dropped back to his side.
"It's just you," he said.
"Just me," Spades repeated flatly. She didn't move. "That doesn't answer my question."
"Sorry." Jin rubbed the back of his neck. "I came looking for Ho-seok. I thought he might still be here after your meeting."
"He left two hours ago." She said it the way someone says the sky is blue. "He sat through the first half of the meeting, then said he needed to use the bathroom, and nobody's seen him since. You should know by now he doesn't stay in one place. If you want to find him, you'll have better luck..."
She stopped.
The mask tilted a little further to one side. Jin could almost feel her eyes narrowing behind it.
"Wait," she said. "How did you get in here?"
"The front door said no visitors."
"I know. I told them that."
"So I climbed."
Silence.
"You climbed," Spades said.
