The energy in the training ground had shifted again by the time the last few fights wound down, quieter now, less like eager anticipation and more like exhaustion settling into satisfaction. The recruits who'd already fought sat scattered around the edges of the sparring circle, some nursing bruises, others just watching the ones who hadn't gone yet with a kind of curious patience.
Jin scanned the group, mentally running through who was left. Hyunwoo stood near the back, arms loosely crossed, watching everything with the same unreadable calm he'd carried since his introduction. Haeun leaned against one of the reinforced watchtowers, rolling her shoulder like she was testing it for something that hadn't happened yet. Byung-ho sat on an overturned crate, elbows on his knees, clearly still waiting for his turn.
