It took a while for Yuna to let go.
Jin didn't try to make her. He sat on the edge of the bed with his feet on the cold floor and let her cling to his side, her face pressed into his arm, her breathing slowly going from big gulping sobs to small shaky ones. Every so often she would squeeze tighter, like she was checking he was still there. He put one hand on her head and left it there.
"I'm okay," he told her quietly. "Really. I'm okay."
"You were asleep for so long," Yuna mumbled into his sleeve. "Everyone kept saying you'd wake up and you didn't. And then you screamed."
"I know. Sorry about that."
"Don't do that again."
"I'll try not to."
She sniffed hard and wiped her face on his shirt, which he decided not to mention.
Across the room, Echo pushed himself off the wall and let out a long breath, like he had been holding it for a day. "Okay," he said. "Good. Great. Now that nobody's dying, can somebody please tell me how long that was? Because it felt like a week."
