What kind of nightmare could prevent someone from sleeping making them look like a zombie. Even a zombie looks better compared to Jae Won.
The look on Jae Hyun's face explained vividly on what was going on his mind. This made it clear to Jae Won that his serious problem that is preventing him to sleep is in fact a joke to his cousin here.
"You don't believe me?" asked Jae Won as he sat next to Jae Hyun. Jae Hyun turned to face him "I'm not sure if I have to believe you. We all have nightmares but it doesn't make us lose sleep" said Jae Hyun.
Jae Won sighed as he lowered his head and rubbed his eyes that was burning like fire because of lack of sleep. "Okay, tell me about that nightmare of yours" said Jae Hyun.
This sentence got Jae Won raising his head to meet his cousin's gaze. "For the last five years, I've been having this dream where there is this blurry person is always towering over me while smiling. And the problem is that I only see his eyes so perfectly than the rest of their body. I can't even identify the person as a male or female" explained Jae Won.
Jae Hyun, "...…"
Jae Hyun scanned the room like a detective looking for evidence at a crime scene. This little act surprised Jae Won, "what are you looking for?" he asked but he was ignored as he rose from the couch and walked towards the four corners of the office searching for something. Jae Won sat quietly as his gaze followed him Jae Hyun like a hawk.
"You got me, you really did, now show me where the hidden cameras are?" Jae Hyun asked confusing Jae Won. "This is not a nightmare but rather a romantic scene, wait are you shooting a reality show just to get my reaction? Hahahaha, you did got me" Jae Won sat there motionless as he stared at this cousin of his who wouldn't shut his hole up that was spewing nonsense, "What are you talking about? There are no hidden cameras in this office and I'm serious about my dream" said Jae Won, his eyes watery almost like he was about to cry.
Jae Hyun walked to him as he sat again next to Jae Won. Even though he didn't believe in what he was saying but it could be possible since he had gone through a fatal accident and this could be an after effect on him.
Jae Hyun gave an internal smile that wasn't visible to others because this could be a good sign for him. If truly Jae Won is mentally ill, this could prove he was wasn't stable enough for the chairman position. With that, he placed a reassuring hand on his back indicating he was ready to listen. Jae Won felt comfortable again which he shared his dream to his cousin. He even went ahead to tell how this time the blurry person kissed him and how he could feel the genuine love the blurry person have for him.
Jae Hyun who was processing what he had just heard, "....." He was quiet for a whole two minutes before Jae Won himself broke the silence, "do you also think I should visit the hospital?" asked Jae Won. This question brought Jae Hyun back to earth. He cleared his throat before he responded, "no you don't have to. It might be side effect of your accident…you don't have to worry." Jae Won sighed so heavily that the room seemed to shake.
Jae Hyun gave him a tight hug as he offered words of encouragement to boost his spirit. Jae Won smiled brightly as he reciprocated the hug. While one was smiling the other smile dropped turning into a frown.
Knock knock knock
That was the sound of the door being knocked. Jae Won invited the person in and it turned out to be Hye Ji. "Vice chairman, it's time for your meeting" reminded Hye Ji as Jae Won nodded in agreement. Jae Hyun excused himself, "I will go get some work done" said Jae Hyun as he began to walk up to the door and he didn't forget to say a few words before he left. "Don't worry about it, it might be a memory trying to resurface" as he said he gave a smile before his disappearing figure was nowhere to be seen.
As Jae Hyun stepped out of the office, he slid his hand into his pocket and took out his phone and with a tap, he placed his phone to his ear. After a few seconds in he spoke over the phone to the other person on the other end, "when am I going to hear the good news?" asked Jae Hyun as he began to pace. 'You need to relax if you don't want any evidence to lead back to you and me' said Death on the other end of the call.
Jae Hyun groaned as he kicked air and angrily said "I have ran out of patience. I've waited for five years and I can't no more so you better begin your job if you want to be paid handsomely." Death sighed as he responded 'don't be calling unnecessary' said Death before he ended the call.
A few hours later, Vincent and Akwasi was preparing for his meeting which would be in three hours. The eagerness in him got Akwasi shaking his head in disbelief. "Do we have to go now? We still have three more hours before your scheduled meeting" rant Akwasi who couldn't believe his friends reaction.
Seung Jo who just came back entered the apartment and walked on Akwasi ranting nonstop. Seung Jo switched his gaze between them curios as to what they are talking about. He didn't have to pry on that again because his gaze fell on their dressing. "Where are you two going?" Seung Jo asked as he placed his groceries on the kitchen counter.
Akwasi chuckled as he replied "that's the same question I'm asking." As he said this he crossed his legs over the other as though he was getting comfortable but not at all. "But you have three more hours before your meeting. That's why I rushed to the market to get some groceries to prepare us an early lunch before you leave" explained Seung Jo.
Seung Jo managed to convince Vincent into waiting a little more as he prepared their early lunch. Akwasi was smiling as though he has received his Christmas gift early. He undressed from his stuffy suit as he lay on the couch watching television. Vincent on the other hand was scrolling through his phone as he searched about Jae Won.
The more he researched on Jae Won the more he misses him and the more he misses him the more he wants to see him.
Back at the office, Jae Won had just finished one of his meetings and walked out of conference room. Hye Ji was following so as Secretary Kim. With a few steps towards the elevator, Jae Won's phone rang.
"I would love to, I'm starving" replied Jae Won to the other end of the call. Hana called asking if she could bring lunch which Jae Won accepted.
With the call ending, Hana quickly called Soo Young. She has been pestering her (Hana) to bring her (Soo Young) over to Jae Won's company but she always refused.
But today she decides to send her best friend to Jae Won's company. With a few conversation, their meet up was scheduled which was Soo Young meeting Hana at Jae Won's apartment before they all leave for Jae Won's company.
"No!!!"
"Hell no!!!!"
Said Vincent and Akwasi simultaneously. "You aren't going anywhere with us" Akwasi said. They all regret not going the first time. Why is that? It's because Seung Jo all of a sudden wanted to go with them. For whatever reason was a mystery to us.
They were having their lunch when Seung Jo brought up this conversation. "I just want to go and see where you will be attending this meeting. You look too eager for a business meeting" replied Seung Jo while he filled his mouth with his food.
"It's not that busi…mmm mmmm" said Akwasi with the last sentence stuck in his throat because Vincent covered his mouth.
He is not afraid of Seung Jo finding out he is in love with a man, he has to protect the man he loves. From what the internet is giving, it seems if people get to know about them, this might lead to a big problem for Jae Won and he wouldn't want that for his baby.
Vincent sometimes thought maybe that was why he has been ignoring him but he has to hear it right from the horse's mouth. That was why he didn't approach him personally but had to use a business deal to get close to him.
Even though this deal could benefit them both. "Okay okay, you can go with us but with one condition" said Vincent making Akwasi's jaw dropped to the floor.
Seung Jo, "huh?"
