A bulky machine connected by thick metal wires gave off a low, steady vibration, the sound resonating faintly through the floor and walls of a white room. Within the room, several men in lab coats and notepads stood while observing the machine.
The Section Chief stood close to the machine, his brows furrowed tightly as his foot tapped impatiently against the ground.
"How long? It's been running for over an hour. Why is it taking so long?"
The Section Chief's tone carried hints of annoyance as he crossed his arms in front of him.
"But sir..."
One of the men couldn't help but look at the Section Chief.
"What?"
"That's..." Swallowing slightly, the man hesitated before answering. "The machine has only been running for a minute. It hasn't been anywhere near an hour."
