Chapter 194 - Bully Tohka

"Ahhhh, so this is how we ended up here?" Right now Miku was completely losing it, because back on Xander, not only had Tohka wrecked the streets, she'd also gotten into a fight with the Nova Corps. Although no one died, Tohka had shot down several of their ships. The result was that she herself, as an accomplice, also had to stay here for a while. Although it wasn't as long as Tohka's sentence, this poop-yellow uniform was unbelievably ugly.

"No choice, if we want to find the Power Stone, this is the best place. Besides, can't you control people? Just use your power on the staff—of course, don't overdo it. As for the prisoners, just leave them to me." Tohka was a little annoyed too. Who asked them to have no money? And that Star-Lord was a drifter—finding him was really difficult. So, staying here was undoubtedly the best option. As for the guards, they were a non-issue. When it came to prisoners, the biggest fists made the rules, and for the staff, Miku could control them.

"Look over there..." But Tohka wasn't some notorious figure like Gamora, and because she carried an Asgardian identity, a bunch of people pointed at her instead. And how did they know? It was because of her Asgardian background. It wasn't any secret, and there had been some extra commotion about it. The final outcome was that, in "Odin's" words, she should be left here for a while to "calm down." As for money? Two words: no money.

So, the result was exactly what Tohka had wanted—she was sent here. Actually, "Odin" had seen right through her intentions. So, in a way, he'd helped her. And so, Tohka ended up in this place. According to the Nova Corps, since Asgardians had a lifespan of five thousand years anyway, staying here for a while didn't matter.

"You!!!" Of course, there were idiots everywhere. Even though everyone knew Asgardians were born with tremendous strength, there were always some morons—or maybe thrill-seekers. Sure enough, a man over two meters tall was now standing in front of Tohka.

"Scram." For this sort of idiot, Tohka's response was simple: she punched him. Instantly, the two-meter-tall man was smashed into the far wall and embedded there. The entire hall fell silent in shock. A moment later, exclamations erupted everywhere.

"Hmph. Let's go." Ignoring the gawking crowd, Tohka arrogantly dragged Miku toward a relatively clean, less crowded room.

"You lot—one word: get out." Since she planned to stay here for a while, Tohka was absolutely not going to cram in with a bunch of random people. She barked the spoke in an unmistakably commanding tone.

Seeing Tohka, and recalling her earlier display, most of them wisely ran out. A few who didn't take the hint were directly lifted by the collar and thrown out—belongings and all.

Afterward, Tohka cleared out several neighboring rooms as well. Then she violently smashed through the dividing walls and joined them all together. Next, she took down several metal panels and blocked off the openings, sealing up the entire big room completely. After that, she dismantled the beds and tidied everything up.

"..." Mouth twitching as she looked at the domineering Tohka, Miku was completely speechless. As for the other inmates, it wasn't like they hadn't tried to cause trouble—but now they were all embedded in the opposite wall. As for the guards, she had already used her power to make them ignore everything that happened here.

"Alright, all cleaned up. Let's go to the control room and get our stuff back. I'm not going to keep wearing this ugly yellow uniform. After that, let's head to the staff canteen—the food's good and there's plenty." Finally done with her renovations, Tohka pulled Miku outside. As she walked, she casually fired an energy blast that sealed the big room behind them.

"Uh, okay... So, in other words, the Nova Corps didn't imprison criminals—they locked up a bunch of pampered bosses?" Even Miku couldn't help but mutter. She'd thought life here would be miserable, but she hadn't expected Tohka to be so violent. Then again, this wasn't so bad. At least the two of them wouldn't go hungry. Whether the sudden surge in food consumption would trigger any chain reaction was something neither of them cared about in the least.

And so, Tohka and Miku started their peculiar days in the prison. But since they discovered that the staff's quarters were more comfortable, they simply kicked the staff out too and took over several rooms.

With Miku controlling the guards, no one even reported what was happening. As for the other prisoners, they were just unlucky. Since Tohka planned to wait here for Star-Lord's group, she was bored. So, she spent her time picking fights all over the prison, beating up every inmate she came across. The truly vicious ones got "special attention," receiving her signature beatdowns. Before long, Tohka had basically become the jail's local tyrant.

Of course, there were upsides—after she'd clobbered all the troublemakers into permanent submission, the prison became a much more peaceful place. The remaining inmates were either meek by nature or had learned to keep their heads down. In short, the originally chaotic prison was much more harmonious.

So, the two of them reigned supreme here, while the outside world continued on as usual. Today, after breakfast, Tohka was about to go back and nap when the commotion outside caught her attention. Thanks to her crackdown, the prison was mostly calm and quiet now—so a racket this big definitely stood out. And sure enough…

It was simple: the cause was a green-skinned woman. Ahead of her were a raccoon, a tree, and an old man from Earth. These were such obvious identifiers that Tohka recognized them in a single glance. She knew her target had finally arrived.

Instead of caring about the commotion, she turned around and went back to her and Miku's room. She needed to think carefully about what to do next. Sure, she could just take the Orb, but she definitely wasn't going to keep it for herself. Nor could she just toss it away—who knew what kind of chaos that would unleash?

"What's wrong, Tohka? Why are you frowning?" At that moment, Miku noticed Tohka walking in, deep in thought, her brow furrowed.
