Chapter 163 - Larry True aPower

Larry shrugged like it was no big deal and said casually, "Hmm… just a few more."

After thinking for a moment, Larry's lips curled into a faint smile. Then, he gave an answer so outrageous that Ging and Pyon were left completely speechless.

While the two were still trying to process it, Larry's Pokémon had already clashed head-on with the incoming wave of gold and silver-headed enemies.

At the front of the formation, Lucario led the charge. Translucent energy swords spun around him, then vanished as he disappeared in a blur. Sword Dance.

With a sudden stomp, Lucario struck the ground, leaving behind a scorched crater, like the floor had been set ablaze. His legs ignited with flames as he launched forward, kicking straight into one of the gold-and-silver heads with the full force of an exploding meteor. Flame Kick.

Enhanced by Sword Dance and benefiting from a quadruple-type advantage, the strike was devastating.

Bang!

The enemy was obliterated in an instant, shards of its metallic body scattering like broken pottery. No chance of recovery, it was done for.

Behind him, Gardevoir and Gengar took up turret positions, each unleashing a relentless stream of special attacks. Bright purple Mystical Fire from Gardevoir and ghostly energy from Gengar rained down like artillery on the second wave of gold Plants.

Boom after boom echoed through the streets, as blasts of energy turned the enemy formation into a warzone. The explosions left their targets riddled with cracks, unable to regenerate before the next wave of attacks hit. Bombardment after bombardment kept them locked down, unable to even touch the Pokémon standing in front.

To Lucario's side was Snorlax. Despite the chaos, Snorlax looked half-asleep, blinking lazily as the enemy rushed toward him. He gave his round belly a firm pat,

Thump!

A heavy sound rang out, and his entire aura surged dramatically. Belly Drum.

With that move, his strength shot through the roof. And when his giant fists caught fire, the gold and silver-headed creatures didn't stand a chance. Snorlax, or as Larry liked to call him, Kirby, swung his flaming fists.

Boom!

A single punch sent molten shrapnel flying. The next swing shattered two more enemies, smashing them into fragments that clattered to the ground. The pavement beneath them caved in, forming a wide crater scorched black by the impact.

Even Happiny, normally the team's support, didn't fall behind. With a focused stare, she summoned boulders from thin air, Rock Slide.

The sky above filled with stones that came crashing down on the enemies. But that wasn't all. Happiny's passive ability, Serene Grace, made things worse for them.

The result? The gold and silver-headed plants froze mid-motion, literally unable to react. Their bodies locked up from sheer terror and status effects, helpless as wave after wave of attacks rained down on them.

They didn't even have the time to raise their heads or dodge. They just stood there, awaiting their fate. The endless barrage of falling rocks became the final blow.

Meanwhile, Arcanine tore through the crowd like a fire god unleashed. His entire body burst into flames, forming a blazing wheel that rolled through the battlefield with reckless speed. Flame Wheel.

This was his domain, a battlefield tailor-made for him.

Every rotation of his burning body meant another enemy turned to ash. It looked almost like an in-game grinding session for fire-type Pokémon, except far more intense and way more dangerous.

Ging couldn't help but mutter, "This is… incredible."

His eyes were practically glowing as he watched Larry's Pokémon in action. These weren't just strong, they were absurdly powerful.

Each one could easily be a top-tier Nen beast on its own, the kind of presence that would shake even the Six Continents.

And it wasn't just raw power. Each Pokémon had its own abilities, strategic, elemental, overwhelming. Ging, with his experienced eye, recognized the skills at a glance.

What shocked him the most, though, was the nature of their power. Larry's "nen beasts"… they used fire-based abilities?

And not just that, each one had something unique to them, an ability or skill that made them stand out even more.

To Ging, it was both fascinating and terrifying.

Whether it was powerful long-range blasts or support abilities that instantly doubled one's strength, Larry's Pokémon moved like a perfectly synchronized unit. Some even launched earth-shattering rock-based attacks that froze enemies in place, locking them down completely.

Under the relentless onslaught of Larry's nen beasts, the once-formidable army of gold and silver-headed enemies was being wiped out at an alarming pace.

The Pokémon covered every direction, forming an airtight blockade, nothing was getting through. Not a single one of those enemies could break the formation.

This was Larry's army. The battle wasn't just some random clash, it was a full-scale war: the Gildrosia versus Larry's Pokémon.

And the outcome? It was painfully obvious. The fight was completely one-sided.

Even more terrifying was that Larry hadn't even let Dragonite join in. He was holding him back, not because he wasn't strong enough, but because letting Dragonite fight would mean the others wouldn't get enough experience. He was deliberately giving the rest of his team room to grow.

It wasn't that the Gildrosia were weak. On paper, their strength matched Larry's Pokémon, they were all within the A-rank range. In fact, they had a clear numbers advantage, several times the size of the Pokémon team.

But the deciding factor wasn't raw power. It was strategy.

Larry's team moved like pros. Each Pokémon knew their role. They weren't just throwing out attacks at random, they were chaining moves, stacking effects, and locking enemies into tight corners where they couldn't fight back.

This was the difference: Pokémon battles weren't just about strength, they were about synergy, and combos. Happiny's support sealed the enemy's mobility. With one skill, she took the field and turned it into a trap, locking the Plants into place like statues.

Lucario and Snorlax both boosted their own power with amplification techniques, then followed up with blazing fire attacks that dealt four times the usual damage against these particular enemies. Every move they made was enhanced, calculated, and merciless.

Multiple effects stacked together. Status locks. Boosted damage. Type advantage. Coordination. That's why the battle turned into a complete stomp.

This, this was the art of Pokémon combat.

Ging watched Larry's nen beasts tear through the battlefield like it was nothing. For a moment, he thought about joining the fight, stepping in to lend a hand and stand beside Larry. But after a quick glance around, he realized, there was no place for him.

Every angle was covered. The enemy was already overwhelmed. The battlefield was so efficiently handled that Ging, one of the strongest Hunters alive, couldn't even find a spot where his presence was needed.

The thought made him pause. He stepped back from where he'd been about to move forward.
