Chapter 101 - Fusion

While Hisoka was recovering, Larry had no interest in his battle. The outcome was obvious. Kastro was never going to be a real threat. Instead, Larry was focused on something far more important. A breakthrough in his Nen ability.

So far, Pokémon Master was divided into three core modules. Acquisition—the ability to capture Pokémon. Cultivation—leveling up Pokémon through battles. And Dex Analysis—analyzing a target's strength and identifying item properties.

These three already made him incredibly powerful. But Larry wanted more. He wasn't satisfied with the limits of the system. He wanted to push beyond them. A fourth module. A new path to power. One word echoed in his mind—Fusion.

The concept of Pokémon Fusion had been in Larry's mind for some time. When he discovered that Pokémon could still use skills while inside his body, he realized something. It was as if he had already partially merged with them.

That made him wonder… What if he could fully merge with one? After a full day of testing, he succeeded.

Nen Ability: Pokémon Master (Fusion Mode Unlocked!)

Fusion Mode allows the user to merge with any Pokémon, temporarily becoming one with its power. During fusion, the Pokémon loses its independent consciousness, and the user inherits its full strength, including aura, skills, innate abilities, and special traits. Every enemy defeated while fused grants EXP to the Pokémon, allowing it to grow stronger even in this state. However, fusion comes with strict limitations. Only one Pokémon can be fused at a time, and the burden of fusion is shouldered entirely by the Pokémon itself. While fused, the Pokémon cannot naturally recover aura, though it can still use skills that restore it.

Larry's eyes gleamed. It worked. Not only that, but the restrictions were practically nonexistent.

Why?

Because Pokémon could still act outside of fusion. And since he had multiple Pokémon, the "aura cost" was barely a limitation.

If one Pokémon's aura ran low, he could simply switch to another. This wasn't just fusion. This was equipping pokemon onto himself. It was the ultimate power boost. And there was only one way to test it. Larry smirked. He equipped Dragonite.

The moment he activated Fusion Mode, Larry felt an explosion of strength. Aura surged through his body. He clenched his fist, feeling the raw power coursing through him. He could destroy the entire room with a flick of his wrist. If he put in just a little more effort… He could collapse the entire Sky Arena. And this was without even using a skill. This was pure physical strength. He had fully stepped into S-Rank territory. Larry grinned. 'This… was going to be fun.'

Larry stood in his room, an amused smirk playing on his lips as he flexed his fingers, feeling the raw power coursing through his body. His newly developed Fusion Mode had proven to be an overwhelming success. And the best part? He could now use Dragonite permanently equipped. That meant he could remain an S-Rank combatant at all times, carrying the raw strength of a monster without needing to actively summon a Pokémon.

With Dragonite's flight ability, he could now generate aura wings, granting him free movement in the air. With Lucario's wave power, he could read enemy movements before they even attacked. With Gardevoir's telepathy, he had psychic insight beyond what most Nen users could dream of. And with Gengar's spatial storage, he had access to hidden dimensions.

At this rate… It was only a matter of time before he truly became untouchable. But Larry knew there was still room to grow. This was just the beginning. Once he reached Gourmet Paradise, where food could physically enhance Nen users, he would elevate himself even further. Then, even without Pokémon, he would still deserve the title of the world's strongest. Of course, Pokémon would still handle the fights. It was only natural.

Meanwhile—The Sky Arena's Final Opponent In a darkened room on the 251st floor, Bruce clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white from the pressure. "Damn it!" With a furious growl, he hurled a priceless vase against the wall, shattering it into a thousand pieces. His breaths came out ragged and uneven. He was furious.

Floor after floor, Larry had crushed every opponent. None of the hosts—who were supposed to be elite—had even slowed him down. And now, all eyes were on Bruce. The former champion. The last remaining wall before Larry took the throne. If Bruce lost, Larry would be officially recognized as the strongest fighter in the Sky Arena, and that was something Bruce couldn't accept. His pride refused to let it happen.

But deep down, he knew the truth. He had watched every single one of Larry's battles, seen the way he dismantled his opponents like they were nothing, witnessed the sheer, overwhelming power he displayed in every match. Bruce gritted his teeth. If they fought head-on, he would lose. There was no denying it.

But… he still had one trump card. His Nen ability—Reaper's Gambit. A technique that could kill enemies above his level if used correctly. Maybe—just maybe—he could turn the tables. If the situation became too dangerous, he could simply admit defeat. After all, what were the chances that he wouldn't even have time to surrender?

In the days leading up to the match, the Sky Arena had gone all-in on promoting Larry. His posters were everywhere. Every single screen in the city played his fights on repeat. And outside of the arena? The promotion was even more intense. For the first time, people from all six continents could see Sky Arena advertisements in their cities.

Larry's name was spreading across the entire world, and it wasn't just because of his achievements in the arena. The officials had conducted a deeper investigation into his past, and what they uncovered only fueled the growing legend. Larry wasn't just a rising champion—he was also a Two-Star Ruins Hunter, a One-Star Bounty Hunter, and the nemesis of the S-Rank criminal group, The Seven Deadly Sins.

When people discovered that their idol was also a crime-fighter, his popularity exploded even further. His fanbase doubled. Then tripled. And it was still growing.

Suddenly, every Nen user in the world was paying attention. If this guy had slaughtered members of an S-Rank criminal group, then his fights were definitely worth watching.

Many hunters who had never even considered watching a Sky Arena match Were now on their way.

Inside the Hunter Association's headquarters, Chairman Netero sat in his office, watching the Sky Arena's latest promotional video. His laughter echoed through the room. "Hohohohoho…! The Invincible of the Sky Arena, huh? Not a bad title!" As he stroked his long beard, his eyes gleamed with excitement.

Larry's achievements were nothing short of extraordinary. "Bean, clear my schedule. I'm going to watch this fight live."

His secretary, Beans, let out a sigh, already feeling exhausted. "President… we have an important meeting in two days…"

"Then you handle it!" Netero waved him off with a grin. Beans wiped his sweat. It wasn't up for debate.
