Chapter 31 - Chapter 4: The Finals Draw

The spectators around Platform 1 were left speechless as they witnessed the tiger-headed man's elimination without even landing a single blow. They stared at John Doe, unsure what to say.

As time passed, the preliminary rounds continued, and participants were swiftly eliminated. The favorites to advance to the finals were John and Yamcha on Platform 1, Jackie Chun and Nam on Platform 2, Goku and Krillin on Platform 3, and the Wild Man and Giran on Platform 4.

On Platform 1, Yamcha was the first to defeat his opponent, securing the first spot in the quarterfinals.

Next up was John's match against Lan Fan, who was expected to advance in the manga. The winner of this match would secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

At this point, Goku, Krillin, and even Master Roshi, disguised as Jackie Chun, had already eliminated their opponents and advanced to the quarterfinals. They rushed to Platform 1 to cheer for John.

Seeing John's opponent as a seductive beauty, Master Roshi felt a mix of envy and jealousy. He wished he could switch places with John on the platform.

John's heart skipped a beat when he saw Lan Fan. He couldn't help but sigh, realizing that his emotional control training still had a long way to go.

However, he quickly regained his composure.

John addressed Lan Fan, "Miss Lan, you should concede. You're no match for me. If we engage in a real fight, it might not be a pretty sight."

Lan Fan, well aware of John's strength, knew she was no match for him. However, she was confident in her ability to win.

With her experience dealing with young men like John, she smiled and said, "You might hesitate to strike me, but I don't think you'll go that far, right?"

As she spoke, Lan Fan slowly unbuttoned her top, then took it off, moving slowly and seductively. Beneath it, she wore a lacy bra.

The spectators around the platform became rowdy, their eyes turning into hearts. Master Roshi pushed aside the athletes in front of him and rushed to the edge of the platform. If not for the referee holding him back, he might have climbed onto the platform himself.

Lan Fan continued her slow and enticing movements, removing her pants, leaving only two pieces of lacy lingerie covering her body.

Her skin, illuminated by the bright stage lights, shone with an ivory-like glow.

The athletes surrounding the platform went wild at the sight of Lan Fan.

"Go, Lan Fan! Go, Lan Fan! Go, Lan Fan!" they cheered.

Lan Fan was pleased with the effect she was creating. She slowly approached John, caressing his face with her hand and exhaling a sweet fragrance like a blooming orchid. In John's ear, she whispered, "Little guy, can you bear to lay a hand on a woman like me?"

As she spoke, she wrapped her ivory-like arm around John's neck from behind and said, "If you let me advance, I promise that after the match, I'll show you what heaven feels like."

John admitted that his emotional control training was not yet perfected, and he felt a strong emotional reaction to Lan Fan's seduction.

However, he calmly said to the referee, "Can we start now?"

The referee, initially captivated by Lan Fan's charm, snapped out of his trance at John's reminder. He quickly called out, "Miss Lan Fan, please refrain from interfering with the match. Maintain a distance from John Doe. We're about to begin."

Lan Fan glared at John with resentment, frustrated by his lack of appreciation for her charms. However, she released her grip and moved away from John, then signaled to the referee that she was ready.

With both contestants ready, the referee shouted, "Begin!"

Lan Fan smiled and said to John, "As a gentleman, you wouldn't lay a hand on me, would you?"

John nodded and said, "Of course, I won't touch you."

Hearing John's words, Lan Fan's heart leaped with joy, and she said, "You said it yourself; I didn't force you. All the spectators here heard it clearly."

"My word is my bond," John replied.

After saying this, John clasped his hands together, gathering energy in his palms, which began to emit a faint white light.

Lan Fan, sensing something, asked John, "What are you planning to do?"

John looked at Lan Fan and said, "I'm sending you off the platform."

John waved his hand, and a gust of wind blew past, causing the spectators around the platform to squint. Lan Fan, directly in the path of the wind, was blown off the platform.

As she climbed back to her feet, Lan Fan said to John, "You're truly an unromantic wooden head."

After putting her clothes back on, she covered up the beautiful sight, causing the athletes to groan in disappointment.

Thus, the eight finalists were decided.

Before the final draw, there would be a brief break of a few minutes. John and Goku went outside to report their success to Master Roshi.

Bulma approached them first and congratulated John, Goku, and Yamcha on advancing to the finals and achieving their goal.

Master Roshi was pleased with the performance of his disciples. He said, "I had you participate in this World Martial Arts Tournament to test your strength. The results don't matter; I just want you to gain experience. So, in the finals, don't feel pressured, and don't worry too much about winning or losing."

"Yes, Master," John, Goku, and Krillin replied in unison.

At that moment, a voice over the loudspeaker announced, "Please gather the eight finalists on the stage for the final draw."

Hearing this, John and the others quickly said goodbye to the others and returned to the stage.

A host wearing sunglasses walked to the front of the stage and began calling out names for the draw.

Soon, it was John's turn. He reached into the box and randomly picked a number, which the host announced as "Number 5, third match, against Nam."

Next, Krillin drew his number, which was '2', placing him in the first match against the Wild Man.

Krillin excitedly asked, "Who is the first contestant?"

Just then, a foul odor wafted towards them, momentarily breaking John's calm demeanor. He and Goku, being Saiyans, had a heightened sense of smell, making the stench even more unbearable.

The Wild Man approached them and said to Krillin, "I'm the Wild Man. I'll show you a good time, little guy."

The spectators nearby covered their mouths and noses, trying to escape the foul smell.

The host quickly moved on to the last contestant for the draw.
