They where in the desert close by Jericho and they decided to take a rest, and eagle fly pass them where they were taking their rest "this is the queen monitor bird" shouted the witch, they started hunting the the bird but it escaped their sight.
As they stood up to keep moving, some guards were sent by Queen Elixir to arrest them and they blocked the way of Alex and his colleagues. The chief guard said "Alex the Queen request for your attention in the palace urgently" the wizard wanted to say a word but Alex interrupted saying "why should the Queen seek for my presence after the last battle we fought, go back and tell her we won't come".
The guards wanted to prove stubborn but the witch quickly bent the chief guard into her will, when he was under the spell of the witch he commanded the other guards to do as she instructed and he told her he is willing to do anything for her, he also said "command me my lady, I will serve you till death take us apart" but she replied and told him that he should go and deliver her message to the queen, and he obeyed and went immediately.
When the guards entered the castle, they saw queen Elixir coming towards them, the queen asked "where are the the people I sent for?". The chief guard answered her boldly and told her everything thing Alex sent him, the queen was very angry that he slapped him and lay abuses on him but he wasn't moved rather he told queen Elixir popped and play in her face that he only serve the witch and she had no right to command her.
The speech he made triggered queen Elixir and she ordered for the execution of the chief guard because she already new he is under the spell of the witch.
After the interruption of the guards they continued there journey and headed to the hometown of his mother, they were directed by the wizard because he also experienced the birth of Alex. He helped the late midwife in passing through the city border secretly without getting traced, the guards almost caught him then when he was moving suspiciously, but he used his magic tricks on them and escaped, that was when he went to the city of Garcia.
When they got to Alex mother's home town, they were not as much as before because of the massive killings in the village. When Alex got to his mothers residence expecting to see his mom for the very first time since he has matured, he didn't see anyone leaving there, the house was filled up with dust and cub webs.
It was a frustrating scene, he went to the neighborhood asking for the people who were previously living there and a man said is Evelyn, he also said she was arrested when she gave birth to a baby and since then no one has sighted her.
So when Alex got back home, he told his companions all he has been told, so the wizard to Alex that Evelyn is his mother and she has been in prison for the past twenty five years for no offense.
Alex wanted to held straight to the castle so he can release his mother, he was in a very high range after hearing that but the wizard told him to act wisely, and before he act to do anything they should have a plan. He told the witch and Alex that they should arrange the house so they can rest for the long journey and they did so, after sometime everything was in order with team work.
They slept peacefully that night like a baby without stress, when they woke up in the morning they went out to view the village that was when the wizard the wizard took Alex to his mum sister's house, when they got there she was surprised seeing the wizard, because she thought the wizard died a very long time ago when they arrested her sister. She wanted to run the first time because she taught it was his ghost, but she summoned up courage and welcomed him.
The wizard started telling her everything he went through that that and she began to feel comfortable, but the moment he mentioned that the man behind him is her sister's child tears began to roll out of her eyes, we could call that tears of joy because she was so happy to see him after weeping she said "at last the hope of the kingdom has com to liberate his people".
