Chapter 215 - Chapter 215 : All Under Siege!

"Ahem..."

After Stephen arrived, he was about to speak, but a sharp pain surged through his chest. It felt like he was being gnawed at by thousands of snake ants, each bite a spike of agony in his nerves.

Brice, beside him, was no exception. The pain wracking his body left him nearly speechless, his face twisted with the strain of holding on.

"Actually, you sent people to investigate the situation—and we already knew," said a calm voice.

The voice came from the Demon King, who, despite the apparent injuries from earlier, was now standing tall, his demeanor relaxed. It was as if he had never been wounded at all.

This sudden shift made Finn's expression harden. "What's going on?" he muttered, eyes narrowing.

The Demon King's behavior was too strange. It didn't make sense.

"Didn't you realize we've been stalling you all this time?" the Demon King said nonchalantly. "I know that relying on us alone wouldn't be enough to overwhelm you—but what if all the demons under the Hell-Lords' command attacked you together?"

Before Finn could answer, Stephen spoke through gritted teeth, "Finn… we've been deceived. They were prepared from the start... ahem—"

He was interrupted by a fresh wave of pain that made him cough violently. Blood stained the corner of his lips.

The magnitude of the threat they were facing became clear. These weren't ordinary demons—they were elite enforcers of Hell's hierarchy, beings that answered only to entities like Mephisto himself.

"So you already knew about our plan… why?" Brice forced the words out, every breath a struggle. He stared at the Demon King, eyes burning with disbelief and fury.

"You'll find out in hell," the Demon King replied coldly.

The original Mephisto stepped forward then. After his earlier clash with Finn, he knew the human's power rivaled even his own. But Mephisto was a tactician. He had no intention of repeating past mistakes. He shifted his sights—targeting the weaker of the trio instead.

And with him, the rest of the demons surged forward, wild-eyed and bloodthirsty. Their snarls tore through the air as they descended like a horde of rabid beasts.

"You two, fall back! I'll deal with this!" Finn barked, turning to Stephen and Brice.

Without waiting for a reply, Finn's body flared with mystic light. In an instant, he launched himself toward the enemy like a meteor.

Stephen wanted to stop him, to protest—but it was too late. The urgency of the moment gave him no choice. Clenching his jaw, he grabbed Brice, using a teleportation spell he'd learned during his time at Kamar-Taj to retreat to the rear.

More demons appeared by the second, and the Demon King was already at the front line, leading the charge.

BOOM!!!

Finn collided with the Demon King midair, the impact unleashing a deafening shockwave that cracked the sky.

The sheer force of their clash froze the surrounding atmosphere. Trees were uprooted, rocks shattered, the ground ruptured beneath their feet.

Finn's stance staggered slightly. He almost toppled from the blow, blood slipping from the corner of his mouth.

The Demon King, by contrast, merely took three steps back—unfazed.

"I underestimated you," the Demon King sneered. "I didn't expect someone so powerful to rise among mortals. But that only means you need to die."

Finn spat blood, straightened, and let out a low laugh—cold and grim.

"You lowly, despicable things… You really believe you're superior? That you can control the fate of everyone else?"

His voice was laced with venom. His eyes began to glow a deep, menacing crimson. A violent aura radiated from him, more demonic than divine—like a dark celestial channeling the wrath of Mephisto himself.

"You want death? Then I'll send you straight to Hell!"

With a roar, Finn vanished from sight, reappearing inches from the Demon King, fist cocked.

The Demon King's eyes narrowed. He met the blow with his own fist.

BOOM!

Another earth-shaking impact. Their fists collided with such force the surrounding space seemed to distort, a vortex of power exploding around them.

Finn was sent flying, crashing into the earth before managing to stabilize midair. He growled in frustration—had he reacted a second slower, the blow would've shattered every bone in his body.

It was clear now—this Demon King wasn't an ordinary hellspawn. He was on par with Marvel's most feared Hell-Lords.

"So," the Demon King said icily, "where's that bravado now?"

The air around him trembled with raw demonic power. Even the other demons momentarily recoiled, sensing his rising aura.

Finn took a deep breath, blood still dripping from his mouth.

"You're strong. I'll admit that."

He paused.

"But my identity ensures that I must stand against you. Win or lose, one thing is certain—you die here today."

His words rang with finality.

The horde of demons around them howled and launched forward, their monstrous forms contorting with bloodlust. Like a wave of rabid beasts, they charged toward Finn.

Finn's body glowed once more. He braced himself.

ROOOOAAARRR!!!

A monstrous sound echoed through the battlefield. Finn's skin twisted, his muscles bulging unnaturally—then, from beneath his arm, a thick, black tentacle burst outward, writhing like a serpent.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

One by one, the charging demons crashed into Finn's tentacle, only to be swatted aside like ragdolls. Some snarled, some screamed, but all were stopped in their tracks.

But even with his immense power, the sheer number of enemies wore him down. Every strike he landed cost him. Every block chipped away at his stamina.

"Damn it," Finn muttered. "Their physical resistance is insane—almost impenetrable."

He gritted his teeth. It was only thanks to the enhancements to his Kamar-Taj training—spells and rituals tailored by the Ancient One herself—that he was still holding on.

Suddenly, a thunderous roar shook the sky.

DAAAAL!!!

A black dragon—shrouded in shadows and flame—soared into the air beside Finn. Its wings unleashed a howling wind that ripped through the battlefield.

"AB—!"

"P—!"

"Run—!"

Screams filled the air as the dragon whipped its tail across the field. Demons were sent flying in all directions, smashing into rocks, trees, and each other.

Finn seized the opportunity. He leapt into the air, landing hard on several fallen demons.

CRACK!!

The sound of shattered bone echoed as his knee crushed spines and snapped ribcages.

And it didn't end there. Finn pivoted on one heel and swept his leg across the ground.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Demons flew left and right, howling in pain, unable to rise again. Finn's eyes glowed brighter—there was no mercy in them.

When the dust settled, he stood tall, bloodied but unbroken, and slowly turned toward the Demon King.

"RAAAA!!!"

The Demon King's pupils shrank. He hadn't expected this. He hadn't anticipated that Finn could destroy dozens of elite demons alone.

"Heh. Surprised?" Finn mocked, his voice calm and low.

"There's a saying among humans: 'The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.' You thought you had us trapped. You brought your whole force here."

Finn's eyes glowed like fire.

"But you forgot something. I have allies too. And not just any allies."

He pointed toward the black dragon still circling above.

"Even you… all of you… none of you are walking away today."

The Demon King's expression twisted. He narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth. For the first time, there was something else in his expression—doubt.

Finn's voice dropped to a near-growl.

"I don't care what throne of bones you sit on in Hell. You threatened my people. My world. You dared to touch what I protect."

"And for that…"

He clenched his fists again, the air crackling around him.

"…you burn."
