Ardon's restless, keen eyes burned with adrenaline and fury, scanning the chaotic hell of the battlefield until they found their target.
High above the brutal massacre, perched on a thick branch of an ancient oak, was the elf girl, Auriya Galathil. She was looking like a grim little queen, watching the bloodshed below with an air of detached interest.
"The leader! Get the girl!" Ardon roared, but his voice was already hoarse, and only few of his men heard him over the screams. But they were in position to heed his command and help him out. He decided to do this alone, by himself.
Ardon, in his zeal, ignored the vines snapping at his boots and the ghoul ripping at a fallen comrade nearby. He realised that if the head of the serpent was severed, the body would die. He had found the head, and he would take it like a ripe fruit, ending this battle once and for all.
