August 2
The morning sun shone brightly on the Emperor Building, spreading a magnificent view.
Top Floor
The sunlight gradually moved through the window, softly illuminating the dust, from the floor to the corner of the bed, until it reached Bardi's face, casting a crystalline glow.
"Mm…"
Bardi opened his eyes slightly, letting out a comfortable groan. Facing the sun, he rolled his shoulders, his spine stretching like a dragon. The warm sunlight on his face felt somewhat familiar.
It was the kind of morning he enjoyed every day.
He lifted the quilt and stood up, glancing at Pamela's voluptuous body with amusement. He lightly patted her white chest, causing her to frown and turn over, mumbling in her sleep, "Bardi, I can't anymore… I really can't… Go find Raven, go find Jenny… ah…"
After a few murmurs, she rolled over again, squeezing her chest as her fiery red hair spread messily over the pillow.
Bardi paused for a moment, then shrugged it off.
He headed to the bathroom.
After bathing and soaking in the tub, a thought suddenly occurred to him: Hera would be pulling him away soon for her friend's interview.
Of course she would. Bardi had already promised to give Louis more exclusive interviews.
By his count, it was about time.
Bardi quickly got up. With Hera's usual urgency, she would definitely be bursting in.
As expected—
Boom!
Little Hera kicked open the bathroom door, nearly unhinging it. Seeing that Bardi was still soaking, she slapped her hips and shouted angrily, "What time do you think it is?"
"Get up!"
She stormed into the bathroom, grabbed Bardi's large hand, and pulled with all her might. Despite giving it her all, she couldn't move him, and instead splashed water all over her white dress, turning it semi-transparent.
"I remember now, we have five minutes before the interview."
Bardi said helplessly. Seeing Hera's furious face, he sighed, cooperated, and let her pull him out. "Alright, alright. Bring my clothes, I'll go now."
Hearing him agree, Hera raised her eyebrows with satisfaction, ran out of the bathroom, and brought back a white shirt and beach shorts for Bardi.
Then she pulled him to her room. Little Louis was already flushed with excitement, sitting upright, ready to begin her highly anticipated private interview with His Majesty.
"Your Majesty, do you poop?"
Bardi was immediately stunned. As the supreme ruler of Earth, revered like a god by his people, such a question was a direct hit to his divine image.
If he answered yes, the image of the godlike Bardi in the minds of nearly seven billion people would instantly collapse.
If he said no, how could any living being not excrete?
Of course, Bardi could regulate his body, eliminating the need for traditional forms of excretion.
At that moment, Bardi realized Louis's "life interview" style was truly... unfiltered. She was going all in!
Next, Louis asked in detail about his sexual positions, which ones he preferred, what kinds of lingerie he liked, and what kinds of women appealed to him.
There was no filter at all.
At last, the interview ended.
Bardi was certain that Louis would become the youngest Pulitzer Prize winner ever—at age 12.
August 13
In the underground research facility, after Jenny's explanation, Bardi's own analysis, and Hera's calculations, the perfected Doomsday cells were finally complete.
Using Lex, who had become a monster, for testing, it was clear he couldn't handle the emotional aggression and desire to kill. As he grew stronger, Bardi turned him into a grotesque chocolate statue and ended him.
After that, Jenny removed the emotional control factors from the Doomsday cells once again, which reduced the aggression and killing impulse—along with some of the power. But the extreme evolution and regenerative functions remained unaffected.
There was no issue with Bardi. He immediately injected the Doomsday Serum, allowing it to gradually change his body. It helped resolve the cellular pressure caused by the spiritual strain of carrying the Earth.
"Master, from Hael's memory, a kind of integrated information-terminal body has been calculated. It can effectively materialize artificial intelligence lifeforms, allowing them to possess emotions and reach intelligence levels comparable to Brainiac."
The AI Hera reported, requesting instructions.
Bardi raised his eyebrows. He now had the chance to evolve Hera further. Without hesitation, he gave the order.
"Stay loyal to me, Hera. Evolve and become a true emotional being."
"Okay, Master. Thank you."
August 15
Bardi brought Raven, Pamela, and Jenny to the Festival.
August 30
Emperor Building, Sunset, Dinner Time
Diana brought specialties from Themyscira, including roasted ancient saber-toothed tiger, and joined the Bardi family for dinner.
Everyone ate with enthusiasm.
"Diana, it's great you came. Now we'll actually have the strength to work tomorrow."
Raven sighed, slicing a piece of tiger meat with her knife and fork. Her dark purple lips parted, biting into the meat with her neat white teeth.
Jenny nodded. "I want to study the genetic breeding of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and an Azarathian magic dragon tomorrow. Can't be bedridden all day."
Pamela agreed. "My reforestation project is starting. I'm really busy."
Diana looked a little embarrassed. "Even though I'm doing better… I really can't handle that level of intensity."
Bardi glanced at the group indifferently.
The next day
Diana missed her return to Themyscira.
Raven didn't make it to work.
Jenny was sore all over, stuck in bed. The Tyrannosaurus-Azarathian hybrid experiment was canceled.
Pamela's reforestation plan was delayed.
August 31
Bardi rose from bed. Suddenly, his eyes flashed fiercely. Without even putting on clothes, he erupted into the sky with a sonic boom.
He sensed something from the Earth itself—a fracture.
In the heart of Star City, a massive crack tore open, causing terrified morning citizens to scream.
The Flash burst out of the crack. His eyes were bloodshot, a crazed blue arc covering his body. He tore through the crack, leaving black scorch marks on the ground from arc explosions, then tore another rift and vanished.
From afar, Bardi watched, his expression solemn.
He was utterly confused.
No matter what method he used, he couldn't calculate what the Flash was doing.
Weighed down by doubt and confusion, he could only stay alert for now.
Night
August 31, 23:59
Bardi closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Time began to jump to the next day.
Beep... Beep... Beep...
