Vegeta arrived at the battlefield immediately. The situation on the ground was too violent, as if two colossal monsters were colliding without pause. Sand and stones flew, lightning flashed, and thunder roared. Lacking abilities like X-ray vision, he could only vaguely make out two figures, one large and one small, in the center of the combat zone.
Who was fighting whom? He didn't recognize either Himale or Cell.
Observing his surroundings for a moment, he happened to spot Nappa, who looked like he had nothing left to live for.
Seeing his old subordinate in such a pathetic state, Vegeta's anger flared up out of nowhere.
"Bastard! Look at you, acting like a complete good-for-nothing. Are you still a Saiyan? Stand up! Tell me, what exactly is going on here?"
Vegeta's status in Nappa's heart was truly not low; obeying orders had almost become an instinct. Without even thinking, Nappa subconsciously stood up.
Only then did he realize that the effects of the anesthetic had worn off, and his stamina was recovering rapidly.
Actually, he didn't know much either. He only knew that Cell seemed to be an Android created by Earth's scientists, while Himale was the fusion of Ino's two daughters. As for how exactly they fused and why they were so fierce afterward? He had no idea.
"Daughters? Oh... right, that adopted Saiyan daughter..." In fact, Vegeta still hadn't figured out why Ino would have an adopted Saiyan daughter.
Based on age, Kale and he were definitely not from the same generation, but whose descendant was this girl? Only a few Saiyans had left Planet Vegeta back then, and none of them matched up. Even if he racked his brains, he couldn't figure it out.
He quickly tossed these doubts about identity to the back of his mind.
The aura erupting from Himale was simply too terrifying. It reminded him of the scene when he was thrashed by Broly. What the hell was 'Super Saiyan Teal'? Were they playing a game and making up random names? Wasn't this just the Legendary Super Saiyan form!
Krillin, Tien Shinhan, and Piccolo arrived one after another. The combat level was too high, and neither Himale nor Cell showed any intention of stopping. The aura of both sides skyrocketed as the battle progressed. It was hard to say who was stronger or weaker, but Earth was visibly about to reach its breaking point.
None of them were familiar with Himale. To avoid incurring the hostility of this "big shot," they could only have Videl, who had the best relationship with them, call out.
Videl cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted loudly, "Himawari, Kale! Be careful, Earth can't hold on much longer!"
"What?" The call of a familiar person cooled Himale down a bit. She hopped out of the battle circle at the right moment and looked around. Earth was indeed shaking violently; it might explode at any moment.
She scratched her head awkwardly. "Hahahaha, I didn't notice. Sorry, sorry, truly embarrassed."
Cell also stopped at the right time. Commander Magenta was controlling him directly via satellite, forbidding him from doing anything further that would endanger the Earth.
"Next time, Saiyan. Next time I will come and teach you a proper lesson." Cell was very unhappy, but he still obeyed the order, turning into a streak of golden light and vanishing from everyone's sight.
Facing the strange gazes of the crowd, Himale felt she might have caused trouble. She waved awkwardly to the group. "Um... well, Mom told me to go home and do my homework, so I'll be leaving first! Bye everyone, bye Videl, I'll come find you to play next time!"
She rushed frantically to Mount Paozu and returned to Konoha through the portal.
When Hinata came back from grocery shopping and changed into her slippers, she found the two daughters with pencils in their mouths, struggling with their homework.
"Mm, you look very well-behaved. The weather is nice today, did you go out to play?" Hinata asked.
The two little girls shook their heads with perfectly synchronized movements. Hinata smiled, "So good. What do you want to eat tonight?"
"Sushi!"
"Takoyaki!"
Having managed to fool Mom with great difficulty, the two little ones let out a collective sigh of relief. Their escape to go play was nearly discovered by Mom! If she knew they had used the earrings to fuse and fight a strong enemy like Cell, forget about them—even a certain Ino would get scolded.
The two little girls lowered their heads again to look at their homework books.
They were all very easy questions, but having just experienced the earring fusion, the transformation into Super Saiyan Teal, and a battle with Cell for over half an hour, they were physically and mentally exhausted. They really didn't have the energy to do homework.
Kale, who was usually very honest, extremely rarely pushed her homework book toward Himawari today. "Good sister, help me do it. I'm so tired, I don't have any strength left in my body."
Himawari rubbed her eyes. "My eyes are also sore; I'm seeing double... It was the golden Rinnegan like Dad's before, but after separating, it downgraded back immediately. Really, sigh..."
She sighed, and Kale sighed too. "Super Saiyan... do you think maybe I can try it too?"
"Of course you can," Himawari said as a matter of course. "You have to have confidence. When we fused, we were mainly using your power. Next time, don't let something embarrassing happen like discovering we can't transform right when things come to a head. You must master this transformation ability."
"Hehe." Kale stuck out her tongue, feeling quite embarrassed.
Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?
The Earth warriors faced the messy battlefield, a pile of question marks floating in everyone's minds.
Cell ran away, and the other two reportedly went back to do homework. Who knew the truth?
Nappa? Nappa was actually confused from beginning to end.
Fortunately, Videl was very smart and knew how to fish for information. When she was initially kidnapped by the Red Ribbon Army soldiers, she used her age advantage to extract quite a bit of intelligence.
"Red Ribbon Army? I remember those guys were wiped out by Goku a long time ago." Krillin looked thoughtful.
Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, and Vegeta had all met Son Goku when they were adults. Only he had listened to Son Goku recount stories from his childhood, or rather, from before he apprenticed under Master Roshi.
Krillin was also observant. When No. 17 and No. 18 first left Dr. Gero's lab, they had changed out of the clothes bearing the Red Ribbon Army logo. However, No. 16 had an extremely obvious "RR" mark on him. Added to the defeated No. 19 and Dr. Gero himself, it wasn't hard to guess that the Androids and the Red Ribbon Army had always been connected to the events happening today.
Krillin asked Videl, "Are those guys still planning to deal with Goku? You don't know who Goku is? Uh... he's Son Gohan's dad. You should have met him, right?"
Videl shook her head decisively this time. "I heard they want to deal with Dr. Bulma and my father..."
As soon as Videl's voice fell, Vegeta exploded.
He squeezed his fist, eyebrows standing up in anger. "Good, let them come. I'll kill as many as come!"
Seeing that the matter involved his wife and child, he no longer had the mind to engage in idle chatter with Krillin and the group. He flew directly back to the Capsule Corporation.
He wanted to see just how many people unafraid of death would come to provoke him.
