"Fishing would take too long. Let's have our Water-type Pokemon search underwater instead."

"I'll leave this to you, Greninja. Go ahead and investigate."

Eddie released his Greninja and directed it to dive into the water to search for Dratini and Dragonair.

"Your Pokemon have gotten even stronger, Eddie," Green observed admiringly.

"Then I'll help out too. Blastoise, let's go down together and look for Dratini and Dragonair."

Green first complimented Eddie's Pokemon's improved strength, then released her own Water-type Pokemon, Blastoise.

The turtle and frog Pokemon nodded to each other respectfully before jumping into the water together to search for Dragon-type Pokemon.

"By the way, Eddie, where are you planning to go after you catch the Pokemon here?" Green asked casually as she walked closer to Eddie.

With Blastoise and Greninja searching underwater, Eddie and Green had some time to themselves.

When Eddie heard her question, he looked at Green, but her charming face showed only a pleasant smile that revealed nothing of her true intentions.

"After I catch the Pokemon here, I'm planning to head to the Seafoam Islands," Eddie replied honestly.

Although he wasn't sure what Green was planning, he saw no reason to hide his travel plans.

"You're going to the Seafoam Islands too? Really?" Green exclaimed with obvious delight.

Green had never expected this perfect coincidence. She had been planning to invite Eddie to accompany her, only to discover that his destination was also the Seafoam Islands.

She couldn't help but feel incredibly happy at this moment, convinced that today was her lucky day.

First, she had come to the Safari Zone to find and catch Dratini, only to encounter Team Rocket members who practically handed her valuable information and equipment.

After obtaining that intelligence and equipment, just when she was wondering how to safely reach the Seafoam Islands, Eddie—who was both powerful and someone she had feelings for—appeared before her.

And now, when she was preparing to use her persuasive skills to convince Eddie to accompany her to the Seafoam Islands, she discovered that Eddie's next destination was already the Seafoam Islands, making her efforts unnecessary.

Truly, wasn't today Green's lucky day?

"You seem awfully happy about this. Why do I feel like something's not right here?" Eddie asked teasingly, giving Green a sideways glance. "Green, are you scheming something again?"

"No way! I don't have any schemes, Eddie. You're overthinking this. I'm just happy about something," Green replied with a sweet smile.

And honestly, she really didn't have any schemes this time. After all, she hadn't needed to manipulate Eddie into going to the Seafoam Islands—he was already planning to go there.

"Happy about something? Why does that phrase sound so familiar? Come on, share your happiness with me," Eddie said with amusement, finding Green's response quite entertaining.

"Well, it's like this—I was also planning to go to the Seafoam Islands, and when I heard that my Eddie was going there too, I thought we could travel to the Seafoam Islands together. That's why I got so excited for a moment," Green explained openly, not hiding her intentions and clearly indicating that she wanted to accompany Eddie.

"Wow, it seems you got quite a bit of information out of Cassidy and Butch. If I hadn't shown up, were you still planning to go there alone?" Eddie asked with surprise. "You're pretty brave, daring to go there knowing it's crawling with Team Rocket members. Aren't you afraid of Flying-type Pokemon anymore?"

Upon hearing this, Eddie realized that Green had probably extracted a lot of information from Cassidy and Butch during their encounter.

But he was also genuinely surprised. Wasn't Green afraid of Flying-type Pokemon? And what about Articuno being there?

"!?" Green's expression changed dramatically when she heard this. Not only did she take several steps backward, but she also looked at Eddie with complete disbelief.

When Eddie saw Green's reaction, he was initially confused, then suddenly realized his mistake.

"Oops, I let something slip. It seems only a few people know that Green is afraid of Flying-type Pokemon. It would be strange for me to know that," Eddie thought to himself, realizing he had been careless. He had grown so comfortable with Green that he accidentally revealed information he shouldn't have known.

"Eddie, tell me the truth—how did you know that I'm afraid of Flying-type Pokemon?" Green asked, extremely confused. She even reached for the Poke Balls at her waist, prepared to defend herself in case Eddie suddenly attacked her.

She had initially explained Eddie's familiarity with her by assuming he had some ability to read people's minds.

But only a handful of people knew about her fear of Flying-type Pokemon, and others would be unlikely to notice unless she revealed it herself or said something obvious.

So the question remained: how did Eddie know she was afraid of Flying-type Pokemon?

Could he really be one of those masked figures?

Looking at Green's expression, Eddie naturally understood what she was thinking.

His mind raced as he considered how to provide the most reasonable explanation.

"Oh right, those photographs! That was close. Professor Oak gave them to me when I returned to Pallet Town," Eddie said, suddenly remembering something Professor Oak had told him before he left town.

"I happened to meet Green this time, and for a moment I forgot what Professor Oak had asked me to do."

Eddie recalled that when he had returned to Pallet Town, Professor Oak had given him some instructions before his departure.

"Eddie, when you travel this time, please look for this girl," Professor Oak had said, taking out two photographs—one recent and one old.

The newer photo showed a charming young woman holding a Squirtle in one hand while running out of the laboratory.

The older photo showed an adorable five-year-old girl playing on the plains.

"Is this Green? What do you want me to do regarding Green?" Eddie had asked, immediately recognizing that both photos were of Green. Since meeting Green wouldn't be problematic for him, there was no harm in agreeing.

As for the fact that Green had come to Professor Oak's laboratory to "borrow" Squirtle, he knew about that too, but since Professor Oak himself didn't seem concerned, Eddie wouldn't interfere.

"You've met her? Her name is Green, yes, that's right—it's this child," Professor Oak had confirmed.

"This child was captured by a large bird Pokemon several years ago. No one knows where she's been living since then. I imagine she must have had a difficult time these past years. It's truly wonderful to see her again."

Professor Oak had sighed deeply. He had helped search for Green back then but had never been able to find her, no matter how hard they tried.

"So when you saw from the security footage that it was Green who 'took' Squirtle, you decided to let her keep it?" Eddie had asked, somewhat amused by Professor Oak's actions. Only regional professors would be so generous with starter Pokemon.

"It's just one Squirtle. It's fine to give it to her for protection, though stealing isn't good behavior. The next time you see her, remember to educate her about that. That's all I ask," Professor Oak had said, handing both photographs directly to Eddie.

Not only that, but the old man had also taken out a brand new Pokedex and given it to Eddie, asking him to present it to Green.

Then he had waved his hand, signaling Eddie to leave quickly so he wouldn't be disturbed during his experiments.

"Professor Oak, you actually gave a Pokedex to that girl just like that! You old man, are you perhaps attracted to her and hoping she'll become your..." Eddie had started to complain and tease, but before he could finish his remarks, Professor Oak had kicked him out of the laboratory.
